This lovely cottage is situated in a quiet street easy walking distance to the local ‘wine bottle’ monument. The main town of Rutherglen is within easy reach. Everything was easy including the interaction with the owners who live close by. What we thought was excellent was the breakfast provisions. We wanted for nothing and our little dog could stay safely there as well. A nice stay.
What a special place to go with or without your canine companion. We had a wonderful couple of nights away. The cottage (which has two beautiful bedrooms) is very pretty and clean. The garden is fully enclosed which is great for dogs. The kitchen is fully equipped and the laundry too if you are staying longer. The bathroom has a spa bath and a separate shower. The lounge is cosy with an atmospheric fire and there are split systems, and panel heaters too so you will be comfortable in any season! The breakfast provisions were extremely generous and we very much appreciated the fresh ham and bread - which enabled us to pack up a picnic for our walk at Lake Moodemere (which is also dog friendly). Great too to be able to walk into town for dinner - fabulous restaurants - be sure to try 'Taste'. Many thanks, we'll be back, and several friends are keen to visit too!…
Agree with all other reviewers. We seek out pet friendly accommodation and stumbled on this little gem while researching. Normally we like the dog in the accommodation, but this place is so pretty and clean I told my husband the dog had to sleep in the car (which she doesn't mind). :-) Beautifully decorated, comfortable, generous food provisions (its a self catering B&B) and friendly owners. Could have stayed a week. highly recommended.
Beryl and John make you very welcome, the cottage is spacious clean with good quality fittings and great airconditioning. Beryl met us on arrival and took us through and then explained there was enough eggs and bacon for our breakfasts (we there for 3 nights) in reality we could have fed 4 and still had some left over, very generous and also all the cereals were there to be used. In addition there was decanter of Muscat in the kitchen cupboard for after dinner drinks. All in all a very comfortable stay and somewhere I would recomend staying if you are in the Rutherrglen. A bonus is its only a short walk totown if you don't want to drive.
This is a lovely cottage providing 2 very comfortable bedrooms, a cosy lounge area & a great kitchen for preparing dinner & breakfast. The English breakfast supplies were an added bonus & more than we could eat. The hosts were friendly. Definitely recommend & will stay again if passing through the area.
A well-equipped Victorian-era cottage in a quiet residential area within easy walking distance of the main street, although you may choose to drive when it gets into the mid/high 30s celcius! TV/DVD/CD players were welcome, as was the gas BBQ & outdoor table & chairs in the back-yard. A good range of breakfast provisions are provided to suit most. Kitchen is well-equipped.There is no dishwasher but that was of no concern to us as apart from using the BBQ (meat was from Burgess Butchers in town and very nice it was too) we ate out at two local restaurants: Taste & Tuilleries, both serve very good food). Very comfy bed: so much so it was bit of a struggle to make a move in the mornings! The air-con unit in the lounge was effective and quiet. All in all no complaints at all and a good choice in Rutherglen. …
We really enjoyed our stay and will come back. Comfortable and well fitted out. Great supplies to cook up a breakfast feast. A secure dog friendly back yard. Nice quiet location, but close to great wineries and restaurants.
This cottage was the best place to stay for our time in Rutherglen. It was clean and comfortable with all the extras required for our 4 nights. Generous food was made available to keep us fueled for our days experiences. The AC in the lounge room and bedroom was a blessing on the hot 35+. The owners were very thoughtful and also provided us as a wine tour guide on our 2nd day. A gem in Rutherglen. The only item missing was Wi-Fi. A must stay cottage.
We stayed here for a couple of nights early October. Unlike many Bed and Breakfast establishments, Cuddledoon had all the extras we needed to make our stay comfortable - things like condiments etc, plus very good breakfast provisions.
This is a really nice place to stay. Very neat and clean. Many places I have stayed in closer to Melbourne are so stingy with what they provide. But not this place. Generous breakfast, toiletries and lots of fluffy towels. Good size spa. The hosts are very welcoming and genuine. We also spent a night at a motel in the centre of town and this is far better value and more welcoming . I would definitely stay at this place again !
