The Miner's Cottages, built in the late 1800's have been luxuriously refurbished with period furniture, TV. DVD, VIDEO etc. Self-contained with full cooking facilities, washing machine. Both air-conditioned, corner spas, ceiling fans and top quality bedding & linen.. Outdoor setting with BBQ in a pretty old world garden. Regular guests over 13 years describe the cottages as "a home away from home" We offer packages with winery tours in our Limousine and drive you to dinner in Rutherglen by arrangement. We are 3.5 Star rated by AAA

This cute little cottage was all we could ask for when visiting with our family from the UK, ideal location for winery tour and 'a day on the green' day out. Being dog friendly was great for our dog Flo. The owners couldn't not be more helpful even down to changing the BBQ gas in less 5 minutes many to Beryl & John, thanks from Kris & Amy (Melbourne) Ron & Julie (Windermere, England)

I regularly stay at the fantastic Cuddle Doon cottages in Rutherglen. The wonderfully clean and well-appointed houses are generously stocked for breakfast, with great kitchenware and utensils, as well as extras like shampoo and conditioner. I usually stay there with my family, including our dog, and we are all made welcome by the Lloyds. Beryl and John are two of the kindest people I've had the good fortune to stay with - they make booking easy, they prepare the cottages beautifully and are as efficient as they are pleasant. We always visit friends in Corowa and it's a pleasure to be able to invite them back to "our place" when we stay at Cuddle Doon and to offer them hospitality as we'd do at home. The town of Rutherglen is a pleasant walk away and offers a lot of terrific possibilities for great views, shopping and dining. A great place to stay and I look forward to my next visit.

Our stay at Cuddle Doon Cottages was one of the most relaxing weekends we have enjoyed the cottage is beautiful and so homely we almost didn't want to leave.Nicely set up with all you could want heating on prior to arrival the kitchen well stocked with all that is needed for breakfast complimentary muscat, bubbles and chocolates.Wonderful and helpful hosts who provided extras or changes that were requested without hassle a limousine transfer to lunch then a winery tour to our needs what more could you want other than to do it all again?

What a special place to go with or without your canine companion. We had a wonderful couple of nights away. The cottage (which has two beautiful bedrooms) is very pretty and clean. The garden is fully enclosed which is great for dogs. The kitchen is fully equipped and the laundry too if you are staying longer. The bathroom has a spa bath and a separate shower. The lounge is cosy with an atmospheric fire and there are split systems, and panel heaters too so you will be comfortable in any season! The breakfast provisions were extremely generous and we very much appreciated the fresh ham and bread - which enabled us to pack up a picnic for our walk at Lake Moodemere (which is also dog friendly). Great too to be able to walk into town for dinner - fabulous restaurants - be sure to try 'Taste'. Many thanks, we'll be back, and several friends are keen to visit too!

A well-equipped Victorian-era cottage in a quiet residential area within easy walking distance of the main street, although you may choose to drive when it gets into the mid/high 30s celcius! TV/DVD/CD players were welcome, as was the gas BBQ & outdoor table & chairs in the back-yard. A good range of breakfast provisions are provided to suit most. Kitchen is well-equipped.There is no dishwasher but that was of no concern to us as apart from using the BBQ (meat was from Burgess Butchers in town and very nice it was too) we ate out at two local restaurants: Taste & Tuilleries, both serve very good food). Very comfy bed: so much so it was bit of a struggle to make a move in the mornings! The air-con unit in the lounge was effective and quiet. All in all no complaints at all and a good choice in Rutherglen.

This was a delightful little BnB for our one night in Rutherglen. Comfortable and cosy. The host Beryl made us feel very welcome. At Beryl’s suggesstion we stayed in for the evening, in front of the gas fireplace, with a takeaway meal and a warming glass of red. The cottage is convenient to the town (for the takeaway) and cosy enough to want to stay in for the evening.

Only stayed for two nights but cottage was comfortable, clean and had everything you could want. Breakfast supplies were a tasty added bonus. Locations was great, central to all the wineries and an easy walk into town.

My husband and I stayed here for the Australia day long weekend. We have two dogs and it was fantastic having them in the house with us. There is also a great yard for them to play in. Everything was thought of especially the breakfast supplies they were fantastic! Thank you to beryl and john for making our stay wonderful.

We had a great few days at Cuddledoon cottage from 9th Jan 2015. The cottage was immaculately presented, comfortable, warm when we needed it to be and cool when we needed it to be. As with most places, it's the little details that really make a place memorable: the bag of Snakes lollies on the kitchen counter, the huge quantity of breakfast supplies (so many eggs, bacon, bread, milk, juice and cereal that we couldn't finish it all) and all the cleaning supplies were stored high up so our 4 year old couldn't reach any dangerous chemicals. Our son especially loved the large rear garden where he could play with his trucks/diggers whilst we cooked lunch on the BBQ. There are also table and chairs on the front verandah which is a nice shady spot for a leisurely breakfast. The cottage is easy to find too, just look for the Rutherglen "big wine bottle" at the top of the hill!
