Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a gem! Pure indulgence, from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. Amazing (and enormous!) bed with lovely linen and a generous sized ensuite overlooking the garden. Tastefully decorated and impeccably presented. Little touches like fresh cut flowers and a glass of local sticky really take it to another level. Amber oozes genuine hospitality and knew about every vineyard, winery, cafe, restaurant and bar. She curated a fabulous list of suggestions to suit my every need. A whiz in the kitchen herself too! Great space, great location and great service. Will certainly be back.

Treated ourselves to a weekend in this beauty of accomodation and it did not disappoint. Amber is a gift from the hospitality gods. Knowledgeable on all things local, wine and family friendly.. she knows how to make you comfortable without hovering on your space. The bed was comfy, the shower was hot, the breakfast was an 11/10 on both days. I can’t wait to recommend this gem to my extended network and will be sure to come back.

Well, didn't we have a lovely time at Amber's? "Pampered" would be a suitable description. Amberesque is a template for how all bnb's should be run. Amber intuitively knows what pleases her guests. The vinyl records, the muscat barrel, the rooms, the location, the ambience...the breakfasts. Oh, the breakfasts!!! Rutherglen is a wonderful wine and food destination, and Amberesque makes it extra special. Memorable, for all the right reasons.

We were so impressed by Amberesque from the moment we arrived - Amber text us to say our room was ready early and greeted us in the car park with her friendly, warm smile and vivacious personality! She carried our bags and explained the set up of the living area including where to find our own decanter of Musquat! The spacious bedroom was tastefully decorated with a very comfortable bed and beautiful bed linen. Great attention to detail was given to all the toiletries making sure we weren't in need of anything. There were freshly baked biscuits to accompany our tea or coffee on arrival. Then a delicious cheese platter followed with a local bottle of sparkling red! There were so many options for breakfast from continential(bircher muesli, yogurt and fresh fruit) to a fully cooked breakfast or an international option for the adventerous! It is so refreshing these daysto experience first class service and hospitality and Amber did not disappoint in any way. We would highly reccomend Amberesque B &B and hope to return soon!

We have just enjoyed 2 nights staying in Rutherglen at the old bank building in the high street - Amber is an amazing host who totally spoilt us - breakfast had so much variety of fresh produce enjoyed in the dining room and encouraged to listen to the tunes of the old record player!!! From home made baked beans to freshly homemade bread and preserves - you won’t go hungry. Very comfortable rooms and ensuites including a cheese plate and bottle of wine - which we took to the local lake and watched the sun go down! Amber is keen to share her knowledge of the local area and helped booking local restaurants, wineries etc - nothing was too much trouble We would not hesitate to return on our next visit to the Rutherglen region

My partner and 2 dear friends had a weekend at Amberesque. Amber and Shannon were amazing hosts. The rooms were excellent and well appointed. Our highlight even though in wine country was the breakfast at Amberesque. I thought they were ambitious with their choices - but it paid off handsomely. The location was perfect - right in the main street - our rooms were at the back so we heard no noise at all. We will be going back. I'd recommend their package if you haven't been before which includes dinners and lunches at some of the wineries. Well done Amberesque.

Nestled in the heart of Rutherglen , Amberesque takes the humble B&B to new heights . Amber’s experience in hospitality and service around the world shine brightly through in this seriously well appointed comfortable and generous stay. Situated in the middle of town in the old Anz bank The rooms are large , the beds deliciously comfortable and the options endless . Stay in and listen to amber and Shannon’s excellent vinyl collection or board games, stroll around town sampling the local produce or travel to the numerous local wineries and dining options , but whatever you do leave room and time for breakfast . Amber and Shannon’s travels around the world have inspired an extensive and enormous range of breakfast options ranging from the not so humble continental ( home made bread and preserves ) to this month’s Japanese inspired options , all of which set the day’s culinary bar sky high . Our long weekend here leaves us longing for more .Rutherglen is only 30 mins from the freeway and we’ll definitely be back . Thanks again , your local knowledge and fantastic service will have us back without a doubt .
