Three of us stayed here for two nights, booking two rooms, and found it very pleasant. The grounds are lovely and the view from the dining room in particular is magnificent. We received upgrades to ground floor rooms opening onto a terrace, and had nice big rooms. Our rooms had a view down towards the lake. The rooms had a number of random but interesting books, and by chance I pulled off the shelf a late 1980s directory of Australian academics, and found both my father and my husband listed! What are the odds!
The hotel has lots of lounge areas, with many interesting books to read, and it is well worth exploring. We found the indoor pool while doing this and wondered, like another reviewer, I see, why the hotel does not make more of this so that guests come prepared for a swim. The grounds are also interesting, but poorly signposted,
The hotel is very expensive, and I did wonder what our original rooms would have been like for the price. I felt it was a little understaffed. The terrace outside the rooms wasn't swept (making it tricky to go directly outside from the rooms, as one would bring in dust and twigs) and breakfast items weren't replenished. While reception staff were friendly and helped with queries, there wasn’t a great deal of information provided about the hotel, the grounds or the local area. It's well located for the main sights in the area and for other wineries.
We ate in the restaurant one evening, and the food was really good and the service was great. It’s a set menu.

We stayed here for our 15th wedding anniversary over the long weekend. The staff were incredibly helpful in finding and recommending for us places nearby to eat, and also securing a reservation at their in-house restaurant The Dining Room (An excellent meal, and wines as well, I can see why it’s a hatted restaurant).
The location is a beautiful spot in nature with a private lake that you can walk around, multiple cozy, lounges, where you can curl up with a book and a glass of wine and also activities like the indoor swimming pool and outdoor tennis court.
Breakfast buffet was also excellent with plenty of options and good coffee.
I was particularly impressed with the minibar in our room as they had local craft beer, local wines, and make your own cocktails from Everleigh, which we definitely made use of.
Lisa and Sarina on the front desk were particularly helpful in helping us find our room (we got a bit lost!) and securing a late check out when I asked. We were so touched to arrive in our room and see a bottle of wine as an anniversary gift as well! It’s little touches like this that make Lindenderry an amazing place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay and absolutely adored our room. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially when we requested an early check-in—they really went above and beyond to make it happen. The hotel grounds were delightful and impeccably maintained.

One small suggestion would be to pay a bit more attention to cleaning the balconies in the garden rooms, as ours was a tad dirty. But overall, the check-in process was seamless and welcoming, and breakfast was simply delightful. We genuinely loved our experience at the hotel.

This property hosted my exec team for a 2 day planning retreat culminating in a dinner with partners to conclude the 2 days.

From the moment we engaged with the team at Lindenderry we received nothing but exceptional customer service, support, and planning advice to ensure the event was as expected.

On arrival we were not just satisfied we were delighted in the Professional set up, the admin and function support as well as the fantastic food and beverages offered. Dinner on the first night for 10 people was banquet style but of a different order of magnitude. Platters for entree, then a lamb and fish platter accompanied by wines from the Lindenderry Vineyard.

The staff at this property are friendly, happy to serve at the highest standard and nothing was too much for them to ensure the 2 days and 2 nights of the function were an outstanding success.

The rooms overlooking the luscious Red Hill environs have been upgraded and are spacious and very comfortable.

The social area has gam, especially, pool table and a great evening time space to unwind with your travelling colleagues.

A very special thanks to all at this property and I cannot recommend it more highly.

From the moment you drive down the driveway, you feel transported to another universe. One that is tranquil, relaxing and calming. “Better than a Xanax” as my friend would say!

Staff are excellent, efficient and welcoming. I traveled with my mother (last minute fill in for my dad who couldn’t make it!) and staff very quickly found a solution to us needing seperate beds. Do yourself a favour and if available, get the room with a fireplace, so worth it! We were very impressed with their COVID cleanliness, all staff wearing mask and cleaning all the common areas well after people left.

The restaurant food was delicious for breakfast and dinner with very attentive service. Julian was excellent giving us wonderful food and wine recommendation as well as going above and beyond to help us plan some of our day trips.

The hotel grounds were immaculate, fireplace alight all day and well into the evening, we couldn’t have imagined a more serene place to have escaped to for two nights. We wished we’d stayed longer.

Is the only indication that you are at your destination as there is no other signage on the road. Of course we drove straight past it until we realised the entrance was a narrow dirt road. Only then as we entered the gates that we knew we had arrived at our bed for the night when through the tree lined road we saw in the distance the lovely building called Lindenderry . With green leafed vineyards to one side and a beautiful park the other we knew we had arrrived at an outstanding property. Further exploration of the beautifully manicured grounds revealed two romantic wedding sites ( at least 80% of their business is weddings and conferences) a frog inhabited pond , tree lined paths and large recreational areas.

Our upgraded room, the advantage of booking on the hotels website, was generous with a king size bed, lounge and large screen TV. The bathroom was a good size with excellent hot water and Molton Brown toiletries. Everything you need for a great nights rest in peaceful and relaxing surroundings.

We had booked for dinner in the two hatted restaurant and although pricey at $76 pp for two courses my deboned quail and lamb blackstrap were both delicious. My wife enjoyed her calamari and lamb and was pleased to see Gluten Free requirements were well met. With a glass each of the Lindenderry Chardonnay from the extensive wine list and a side salad the bill came to $200.

We explored the tastefully decorated lounge areas, the indoor swimming pool, the library and although the grey painted walls would probably display the beautiful art works to better advantage if they were painted cream, the whole ambience is one of understated luxury and good taste.

With the sound of Kookaburras to wake us ,a wonderful gourmet breakfast with a table of fresh fruits, pastries, cereals and hot breakfast choices ,very friendly hotel staff, Lindenderry is an outstanding property for a perfect overnight stay ( although you may not want to leave )or that wedding or conference.

My partner and I had the pleasure of spending two nights at Lindenderry (20/21 August).

From our very first interaction with the team, when we were trying to book with a gift voucher and understand the options available to us, we were amazed at the engaging patience of your team.

We were booked for dinner at The Dining Room and were eagerly looking forward to experiencing Chef Diego’s menu. The food was superb. I won’t go into detail about the meal, as it is not within my skillset to critique a chef, however we both agreed that what we experienced on the plate was up there with some of our best meals, either in Australia or on our travels around the globe. To put it simply, every mouthful was savoured.

The dining room team were superb as well. The restaurant manager provided a summary of each of the delights that emerged from the kitchen, and his obvious care and mentoring of the younger crew assisting on the evening, was exemplary. Balancing the need for Julie and I to engage with each other, he nevertheless was present when required and told tales of the origins of the food. It’s obvious that he has influenced his charges, who also did more that just regurgitate the menu items; they told stories that included homage to the cows of Gippsland, which struck a chord as south Gippsland is my backyard.

As we left that evening, we were filled with good food and wine, and with a sense that we were looked after by a team that wanted every person in the Dining Room to have an authentic Lindenderry evening.

Our room was luxurious. Spacious, and with an open fire and well stock mini bar, we were at first reluctant to go out and explore. However we did eventually get out and enjoy the surrounds, with galleries and wineries and other delightful venues to discover. Stunning coastal walks allayed some of the excesses.

Overall, the venue is delightful, but it was the people that made it memorable. The team has an authentic and engaging manner. We will be back soon to reacquaint ourselves with Lindenderry, and the region.

Good morning Michael and Julie, Confirming I am in receipt of your “feedback on a recent visit” and that I have indeed acted on your request in sharing to those mentioned therein. OK, formalities over with…. OMG, thank you so much for the direct correspondence and now your public five star review here. There are some proud moments as GM, but nothing comes close to that. You are very generous and your time in penning the feedback and it is so very much appreciated. They do indeed “get it” and I’m humble daily by their commitment to our guests. Given the year they have been through, it is feedback like this that simply make all that a distant vague memory. I am so pleased you enjoyed your time with us. Looking forward to your next stay – as I am sure are so many I am so privileged to come to work alongside everyday are too. Niel Mason General Manager Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill

We stayed in July for three nights and had a wonderful time! Do not let Winter deter you from visiting! There is still lots of things to do down Mornington Peninsula and the hotel itself has beautiful grounds to walk around, a heated indoor pool, a variety of sitting areas (some with tvs) and mostly all with fireplaces which we sat by each night with our glasses of wine.

Other reviews suggested booking direct in order of a possible up grade, which we did and we were upgraded! Our room was beautiful, very clean and spacious.

The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable of the hotel and the surrounding areas. The restaurant is always open for breakfast however it is only open for dinner Wednesdays to Saturdays which meant the nights we stayed we had to go out for dinner which was tough on some nights as a lot of places in the area are not open so just be prepared. Room service is also very limited and can only be made when the restaurant is open.

Overall, a really great experience and somewhere that I would love to visit again

A gorgeous property only a short drive from Melbourne. Beautifully located in 34 acres of vineyards. It reminded me of trips to Tuscany with poplars lining the driveway and vineyards as far as the eye could see.
An elegant building finished off the arrival.
Walking to our room there were glimpses of manicured gardens and hedges from every window to complete the feeling of nostalgia of a classic property. Our room was really spacious overlooking the gardens and lake in the distance with a fireplace for winter.
The restaurant was everything we hoped for with innovative, delicately prepared food. Our favourite wine was the estate's Chardonnay and 2023 Pinot. Lots to do within a short distance. Would highly recommend.

We booked a room at this hotel for our trip to Phillip Island. It was another 2 hours approx. drive from here to Phillip island but we decided to book a room here because of the good reviews, hence we had a high expectation that this was a very good hotel.

Since we arrived earlier than the check in time, our room was not ready yet. A friendly staff decided to check us in anyway and we could leave our suitcases behind. Funny thing is, while we were busy checking in, the same lady that assisted us just walked away without excusing herself to us (there was another guest who came after us which had an inquiry about whatsoever), we were left there alone, luckily there was another staff who could finish our check in procedure. Have never had this before.

When we came back to the room late in the evening, the suitcases were already standing in the room waiting for us. Room was clean, but it didn’t meet our expectations. We could see the hotel management had done some facelift to the room but it was still an outdated room. The door of the cabinet was hanging loosely, which couldn’t be closed properly. We couldn’t lock the door too, hence we blocked the door with another item.
Shower was good. Hotel provides good bathroom amenities.
Breakfast was very good, a lot of choices to choose from. Staffs were very friendly. Breakfast room looks so much better than our bedroom. But at the same time, there was a big group of guests who we assumed had a private party booked at the hotel. These guests were very loud during breakfast. The sounds of the cacophony chattering and the guests who just came in and go and pulled chairs to make the table fitted more people, was very annoying. Hence we left the breakfast sooner than we expected.

We had a short stroll outside at vineyard before checking out. Beautiful landscape.
Although it was a short stay, it would be better if we could enjoy it thoroughly.
