I stayed in the courtyard suite and would only recommend it for people who are staying for a short time and are planning to spend their days out. The mentioned “kitchenette” has no sink! So odd, had to wash dishes in the bathroom sink, super unhygienic and annoying. I also didn’t like the shower curtain as I find them very unhygienic in a setting where many people are using the same shower- they’re very hard to clean. The place was also a little dusty so we had to give it a dust on arrival. I can’t say I would recommend it or stay again, however if you’re looking for somewhere VERY simple however not that cheap this place would be good.....

I'm so reluctant to ever leave a negative review for a place, but also feel that I must be honest about my experience so as to help others when they choose a place to stay. When searching for accommodation in Queenscliff, Rubys consistently came up at the top of all the lists, so it was with great expectations that I stayed there. The location was ideal as it's in a little back street just behind the main street and is very quiet. It's an old weatherboard house that has been converted into 3 or 4 apartments. One guest gets to park in the driveway and the others have to park on the front lawn. The owner, who does not live on site, was almost impossible to reach by phone, and I have since read some of the other reviews which reported the same problem. Due to a mix up, I was let into someone else's room (thankfully when they weren't there). AWKWARD! And I've been trying without success to obtain a receipt for my stay as I need it for work & tax purposes. So, whilst the accommodation itself was good (but not outstanding), there were so many other major hassles associated with this place that I definitely wouldn't stay here again and nor could I recommend it to others.

I booked my parents in to Ruby’s for the Christmas holidays. From the getgo Noelle was so accommodating and friendly. She made their stay hassle free, comfortable and was always on hand to help - nothing was too much to ask. Ruby’s is an excellent place to stay in Queenscliff! It’s clean, comfortable and so close to the beach and the main street. We will definitely be back.

Beautifully appointed separate room with ensuite (#4), pristine, clean, comfortable, quiet but only meters from the main street. All facilities available, microwave, mini-fridge, coffee, milk and tea provided. There is a barbeque in the communal patio, with chaises and tables. Narelle the owner was very helpful with directions from the ferry and of course, Queenscliff didn't disappoint as a touristic town, small and quaint and very charming. Highly recommended!

What a gorgeous little gem. Selected at random from Booking.com and pleasantly surprised. Clean, comfy, easy to locate, central to Queenscliff town. Relaxing and quiet, very spacious also. Friendly, helpful owner. Would stay there again and will tell my friends
