Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Seaview House was beautifully appointed accommodation for our family as we were celebrating an 80th birthday with ages ranging from 80-2. The decor was very appropriate for the era of the ‘old’ hotel and the many meeting rooms gave us space for everyone to enjoy. The convenience of bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms was wonderful and gave everyone plenty of privacy. The largeness of the place made us concerned as to whether we would be warm enough as we were travelling in the winter but we need not have worried as we were never cold. The location was perfect as we walked everywhere over the weekend. A well appointed commercial kitchen made food preparation a breeze and the added bonus of a cafe sized coffee machine (with beans provided) was magnificent. We were able to access, through Salvador, a chef for our main celebration enabling us to remain at our accommodation. This was so much easier considering the range in ages. We were thrilled with our weekend away and Seaview House was the perfect venue to accommodate us all.

We’ve stayed at Seaview House before and will continue to stay here, as it suits our family numbers. What we like about the place (in no particular order) is: The Location – it is close to everything, most of the things we like to do are in walking distance from Seaview House. The Rooms – All of the rooms, with the exception of 1 or 2 have an ensuite in the room, and if the ensuite is not in your room then it is across the hallway. We find they have everything we need, a comfortable bed and pillow, extra blankets of you need one, and an ensuite. The Facilities – The facility has a large dining area that seats all of us (about 25) comfortably. There is a TV and heater in the main room. There is a separate lounge room where you can watch the footy in peace, if there is too much going on ion the main room. In the separate lounge room there are a stack of books and some games to amuse the kids, in case you leave yours at home. There is a commercial kitchen with plenty of refrigeration and freezer space, so if you are going for a week or so you can provide your own food. There is a separate bar with a coffee machine, but we didn’t use the coffee machine For a large group this is ideal and it ahs everything you need. Couldn’t recommend Seaview House highly enough.

We, 11 ladies. recently stayed at Seaview House for our annual getaway. The House was perfect for us. We each like to have our own ensuite and a place to gather. The kitchen facilities were more than adequate. We usually dine out & have snacks & breakfast at home. Salvador was so helpful with information & promptly responded to our emails. Karen meet us on site and showed us around. Wonderful Much enjoyed our stay and plan to stay again.

Amazing accomodation for a large group. We stayed for our work team retreat and the facilities were excellent. Large enough for a large group, but still very warm and homely feeling. Will definitely return.

My team stayed at Seaview House for the second year in a row. The facilities/amenities were great and the service was top notch. The rooms and bathrooms were incredibly clean and there was everything that we needed for a beautiful stay. Seaview House was really spacious for our group and had enough space for our team activities and dining. It was within walking distance to the beach, pier and nearby shops and cafes. I would highly recommend Seaview House to anyone who is looking to host a big group. Thank you for having us again.

We had a 50th birthday party gathering at the Seaview House. There were 30 guests and they all stayed at this beautiful, historical place. Every bedroom has its own ensuite apart from just one. This is one of a kind. The location is perfect and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Our food was catered by Chef Eddie from the Flirtatious Catering and everyone was impressed with the gourmet bbq he cooked for them. We highly recommend this hotel.

We have 30 people stayed in this guesthouse for 3 nights. Ideally located, Plentiful areas for large and small group activities, great kitchen, on suite for every room, and on top of this, very friendly host making everything easy to handle. Plus, as an artist the host made the whole environment beautiful.

Absolutely awesome place great location the rooms are so clean and quaint and the ensuite New and tidy. The kitchen was fabulous to cook in and the dishwasher fast and easy. The main dining area we were able to move the tables to suit our activities and just designed beautifully. Will definitely be back maybe even an annual celebration.

An amazing place! We had 22 friends stay together and are already planning for when we can come back and do it again. So much space for hanging out, the kitchen was incredible to prepare meals in together and then the huge dining room made eating together such a pleasure. The coffee machine was a real treat - both in the morning and for preparing espresso martini’s a little bit later! Having individual ensuites really made the stay perfect as there was never a wait for the bathroom and everyone had their own space if they needed it. The house has EVERYTHING you would need for a getaway. Salvador was an absolute pleasure to work with while organising the booking and so accommodating with any questions and even had a welcome hamper with beautiful locally made goodies in it waiting for us. Highly recommend it and can’t wait for our next stay as we will definitely be back.
