Place was clean, breakfast was good and staff were friendly. Location was good too.
I had to change the arrival date and the owner was accomodating. Would stay here again.
Very close to all the touristy sight seeing places. Beach across the road and park is handy

Such an enjoyable place to stay, Beautifully decorated suite, yummy food and perfect service with a smile. Location couldn't be better. Our king bed was comfy with crisp sheets. Suite was spotless with added quality toiletries which gave a touch of luxury. Amazing transformation of an old motel. This did not feel like a motel but more like a small resort. Food was sensational. We had Egg Benedict for breakfast and mildest of curries for dinner done to suit our taste - best we have EVER had. Worth staying there just for the food. The extra communal room was great idea- very comfortable & homely. The "Bali" hut was fabulous for evening drinks and looked gorgeous lit up at night with a water feature to complete the atmosphere. We would be back there next week if we could! Andrew & Rhoda made us feel very welcome. Rear door went to a little patio shared with next unit. Luckily we had it all to ourselves and gave us an extra dining/sitting option. Outside night lights kept room light all night but this didn't bother us too much.
Great little cafe at the front topped it off! Great value for money!

Stayed here for one night. Originally booked a single room, however when I arrived I was upgraded to the King room as a thank you for booking directly through the website!

Room was clean and really nicely decorated. Bed was firm but comfortable and warm.

Ate breakfast here too and got the Eggs Benedict which was delicious.

The location is fantastic to get to the various lookouts and attractions on the Great Ocean Rd, and 15 mins to Port Campbell for a bite to eat (got the the pub there, it's fantastic).

The room was extremely well priced vs what you could get on AirBnB and I would recommend to anyone!

One thing to note is there very limited reception and wifi is satellite based so if you want to stream anything, download onto your device in advanced!

Incredible in every way. Have stayed in so many accommodations and the atmosphere, quiet location and awesome operators, make Peterborough House stand out. So many added touches and luxuries, best coffee and curry on Great Ocean Road. So clean and homely and Andrew, Rhoda & family are so friendly, helpful and welcoming in every way. The location is absolutely perfect, literally across the road from a playground, BBQ area (also one in motel) and the Curdies river mouth and ocean which is stunning and perfect for kids. Great basic continental breakfast provided and can order toasties, croissants, ciabattas as well! The common area is awesome with couches and fire place as well. Port Campbell is only a scenic 10-12 minute drive away with a choice of eateries. Great Ocean Road Gourmet Food trail is a must and kids loved the berry picking. All the famous shipwreck attractions (apostles, london bridge, bay of islands, bay of martyrs etc.) a short drive away. The Peterborough Golf Course (accepts non-members) right next to the sea is just next door and there is also great fishing just 50 meters from the motel. I cannot speak more highly of this place. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here - we will be definitely be back! Thank you Andrew, Rhoda and family!

We liked the looks of Peterborough House from the booking, but the experience of walking into the room was even better. Modern, simple, stylish, spacious. It was low-key design with maximun impact. The room became a part of the many delights of our short holiday. Andrew and Rhoda are relaxed hosts and they lay on the amenities, including a common room with a kitchen, a lounge and kids activities; a little pavilion in the landscaped gardens to sit and have a drink; and the reception lounge with couches and a fireplace. The Curdies River mouth is across the road and the front beach no more than 100 metres from there. We had their signature curries one night and found them just right in flavour, variety and portion size. This place makes you feel good for free. Our daughter was sold. She's coming down with her boyfriend and we will be back because you can't get enough of Peterborough and this accommodation is another reason for to make it that way.

Beautifully renovated rooms with new and comfortable beds. We stayed in a family 2 bedroom and had plenty of space including our own living area.

Additionally there was a shared living space with Kitchenette and dinning table and lounge room for guests to use.

There is a lovely family running this property and they make a curry dinner in the restaurant plus serve good coffee in the morning.

The location is perfect, close to the water and only 5mins from The Grotto, London Bridge and The Arch. IMO the Grotto is one of (if not the) best locations along The Great Ocean Road.

Stayed 2 nights in February 2021. Andrew and Rhoda owners of Peterborough House were great, nothing was a bother. We had bacon and eggs on sour dough for breakfast and Andrew's coffee and choice of music is the best. There is a lounge next to the dining area for all to sit. Comfy couches, fire place and ocean view. Outside there is a lovely sitting area under cover and bbq. The room we stayed in was spotless, bed was comfy, room was warm at night, had a great nights sleep, tv, bar fridge. My husband has a disability, the room and bathroom was perfect for him. Location was opposite the Curdies River mouth, beach, playground, public BBQ, tennis court and public toilets. General store, small supermarket and bottle shop just around the corner and Hotel down the road. Peterborough is a quiet place with the most magnificent ocean views. Twelve apostles down the road and Timboon not to far either. Highly recommend Peterborough House and look forward to our next return trip. Big thank you to Andrew and Rhoda, keep up the great work :-)

5 star's for amenities, service, location, decor, food, comfort, and value! Peterborough House is a hidden gem, that has the feel of a resort. Our 2 bedroom apartment was perfectly decorated in a cool beach vibe whilst being spacious and comfortable for our family of four (Mum, Dad, and two teenage daughters). We ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Peterborough House, and the food was absolutely stunning, being both flavorous and plentiful. You know by the locals queuing for their morning breakfast and coffee that this is the go to place for coffee! It's a rarity for teenage girls to want to bring friends on family holidays, yet Peterborough House is the one place that our daughters want to return with friends. Andrew and Rhoda are the perfect hosts, and we will definitely be back.

We chose this motel due to its mostly excellent reviews. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to the billings. Maybe our expectations got set too high. It is in a great location, very close to the beach and the room was very clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed that part of our stay but were disappointed with the restaurant services offered.

Peterborough is a small town with very limited options for eating and, as we weren’t self-catering, we wanted to just relax in the motel restaurant after a long days driving. So, when we arrived, around 4pm, we asked if we needed to reserve for dinner in the restaurant. The lady behind reception (presumably one of the owners) told us that they were going to a personal family event that evening, so there would be no serving staff. She said we could order there and then and the chef could serve us. She produced a limited menu of a few Indian curry options and we ordered. We enquired about the restaurant hours and she said 6-7.30pm. We said OK we would come for 7.30 but she said they couldn’t do that because the chef only worked until 7.30 and they’d have to pay him overtime. She tried to persuade us to eat in our room but we wanted to eat in the restaurant so we ended up agreeing on 7pm in the restaurant. The food the chef then brought out was fine but we were left to our own devices. In fact, we read later in the published details of the motel and restaurant that the stated restaurant hours were 6-8.

We felt that the approach was unprofessional and let down what could have been a very pleasant visit. It doesn’t seem too difficult to arrange cover if you have a personal event that takes you away. The rates charged are quite high for what you get and so our experience was disappointing overall.

Absolutely amazing customer service by Andrew and Rhoda. The rooms are spectacularly clean and presented well. The personalized service is outstanding and you get the feeling of 'home away from home'. I would recommend anyone wanting to stay at Peterborough or around the area to choose the Peterborough House. You will not be disappointed. Did I mention the amazing coffees and the delicious Indian curries for dinner. Thank you Andrew and Rhoda. You set the bar very high when it comes to looking after your guests. Thank you. We will be back.
