This place is totally amazing. have to be one of the best places we have stayed at . The attention to detail that provides extra comfort make you feel right at home. The optional breakfast and cheese platter are well worth ordering.
Nothing is too much trouble and every effort is made to ensure visitors have a well earned rest and relaxation.

I stayed at Kookaburra Cottage and everything was just perfect! The view is breathtaking!!! all the small details in the room it made all the difference. The breakfast they left for us was very generous. We had an amazing 3 days of stay.

The only down point and I was very disappointed by that made me very disappointed was that just a few minutes before the check out (we had about 15 min left), when we were still taking our belongings out of the house, a person came in and started cleaning the house, while we were still inside, taking out the our things. We felt very invaded, disrespected and it made us rethink if we would go back there or recommend this place to someone... I'll leave a tip here, while you're taking things to your car, lock the door and take the key so you don't have it your privacy invaded!

We stayed just one night at Cambridge cottages. It was a couple night away and wow we were not disappointed. They cottage was beautiful, very clean and all little touches help make our stay special... Chocolate, sherry, DVDs, magazines and a generous supply for breakfast. The cottage is amongst the trees and very private. We can't wait to return!

As part of our recent tour of Victoria, we stayed in Kookaburra Cottage and our friends in Currawong Cottage and we all enjoyed our stay so much that we asked to extend our three night stay for an extra night. The attention to detail to make our stay comfortable and relaxing in the cottages was outstanding, from the lit fire, quiet music and home baked cakes and the delicious breakfast ingredients waiting for us in the fridge and the home baked bread nestled in a white napkin waiting on the bread board. We were told the best place and time of day to see Lyre Birds in the Rhododendron Gardens which were just down the road and advised on the places to see nearby, nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were loathe to leave.

Olinda is a great spot to be based for a couple of days to explore this beautiful area of the world. Cambridge Cottages are perfect - we stayed in Currawong ( the bathroom is same level as the bedroom). Communication with our hosts was clear and timely during the booking process. On arrival music was playing, the cottage was the perfect temperature, the decor lovely, the breakfast hamper very generous and chocolate and sherry a relaxing way to start our stay. The cottage was immaculate, the bed very comfortable. The extra touches of Cds and dvds made us feel very welcome. Our bed faced a large window that looked out to the garden and to wake to the treed view in the quiet was so restorative. I would highly recommend Cambridge Cottages for adults who wish to enjoy some serenity.

We spent 3 nights in one of the Cambridge Cottages and really could not fault it. It was a generously sized space with all the essentials including lots of extra little touches e.g. Nespresso machine, variety of magazines, cute little stained glass windows etc. The cottage was centrally placed within the Dandenongs so there was a variety of walks, gardens, shops etc reasonably close by. It was a lovely, private retreat to return to each evening with its own little cool and green and shady garden to relax in. The hosts were welcoming and touched base via cellphone but largely left us to it which we appreciated. It seemed like it would be a warm cosy retreat for a winter visit as well.

We stayed over the Anzac weekend to celebrate an Anniversary, in the Currawong Cottage and were so amazed at this gorgeous cottage. From our initial contact with Leanne about our booking things just got better & better, Leanne had organised soft playing music, lit candles and the gas log fire already burning, The cottage is fantastic and compact, with a huge four poster bed, spa, beautiful linen & soft warm towels. The breakfast provisions were fantastic, apart from Cereal there was everything else you could desire with fresh homemade bread, Bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms even Baked beans & spaghetti, fresh fruit juice, yoghurt & fruit!!!!!!!
It's all the little things that makes this place truly peaceful, homely place. Thanks again David and Leanne for you hospitality we will definitely be back
Regards

Kaylene and Mark

We had 2 nights in Currawong Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our time in this secluded, treed hideaway. Lovely to hear the kookaburras in the mornings and plenty of birdlife in the area.

Very cosy, comfortable, clean cottage with lots of timber and a warm, homely feel. Gas log fire very efficient, comfy 4 poster bed, lovely outlook.

Ample breakfast provisions for the heartiest appetites!

Only a short drive to Olinda shops/cafes etc and nice walks in the area. Can walk to shops and do a circuit along the main road then back past the Rhododendrun Gardens to the cottage - about 45 mins?

With lovely hosts who made us feel very welcome, we would certainly recommend this place for anyone wanting a quiet getaway in the the Dandenongs!

We had the most amazing stay! The cabin was so thoughtfully furnished and the kitchen was more than adequate for preparing a meal. We had everything we needed and more. Breakfast supplies are included. All very high quality produce and loads of options. Oats, cereal, muesli, fresh bread, home made jams, eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, yoghurt, a few tea options coffee and juice. The bed was a big comfy four poster. The spa was huge and fabulous! The CDs were a nice touch. (As was having the heater on and music playing when we arrived!) The couch was comfy and the wood fire brilliant. The gardens were phenomenal! We felt like we were right up the top of the mountain the middle of nowhere. I guess we were! We heard kookaburras in the morning too. Bliss!

We stayed in Currawong cottage for a celebratory weekend away and were blown away by the beautiful surroundings and grounds. A warm fire and soft music were waiting for us upon arrival and the owner, David, went to great lengths to make sure we had a relaxing and special weekend. Will definitely stay here again, the cottage had every attention to detail!
