Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A group of us stayed here 12 months ago and although a bit run down it was passable so we booked again for the same event as it is the only motel in Numurkah. We booked for 2 nights with friends but we left after one night. Hard to list everything that was wrong. We booked months ago and confirmed our booking prior to arrival but we did not get the rooms we had booked. The place was dirty, even more run down, and service terrible. Some of our rooms were missing towels, toilet paper, crockery etc. Reception was closed the whole time we were there, had to phone owner for each check in or request for assistance, who then arrived from elsewhere after a while. One of our group was told there wasn't a room available despite our booking and were put in the flat which was a disgrace. No hot water, toilet paper, the TV didn't work, curtains were missing, broken fittings and the shower was a health hazard if it had worked!!! Our friends were told to use the shower in another unit when we complained. There is no way that this place would pass a basic inspection as suitable for occupancy. Do not stay here. Arrange to stay somewhere else or in another town.

Booked in for 4 nights but stayed only 1. Kitchen ok ,but walls, doors, curtains, floor awful. Only shower was in en-suite, for a 3 bedroom flat just not acceptable. Never never stay there again. We would of slept in the car but was no room.

2 night stay with a reasonable double bed, microwave, toaster and good hot water. Room was clean but all very dated and bathroom 'area' a bit of a mish-mash of components. Owners live on site but no attempt I am aware to limit the near all-night noise and exploits of a drug-fuelled, arguing couple.

The motel really needs an overhaul,. Looking at the edging around the bathroom door, it is rotting. Looking at the shower I did not feel comfortable about showering. Would I recommend this place, no , would I go back no. Even if you have to go onto the next town before you stay here. The air conditioner was on heat all night and the room was cold all night.

Exhausted after the longest drive I've ever made in one day, 1000 km from Bourke - Brewarrina - Numurkah after paddling a section of the Darling River. After hearing the 3 pm news when Victoria announced Border Closure that night, I had to press on and keep driving to get over the border before midnight. This motel was heaven for a tired body; well appointed, comfortable, and the airconditioner was quiet

Came back here again after staying last year. Very nice rooms with comfy beds and plenty of space. Nice pool / BBQ area and off street parking. Only disappointment was cooked breakfast which was a bit greasy and eggs had not been drained of water which made everything soggy.

I stayed for 2 nights with my dad and sister to visit family. Debbie could not have been more helpful on the phone when I called to reserve the family room. Her husband was equally as helpful when I called back to advise we wouldn’t be arriving until about 2am! Clean, comfortable and highly recommended in a lovely part of numurkah across the road from a beautiful park and creek. Highly recommended!

The pool is an excellent place to cool off. The rooms and roomy and quite nice, we stayed 4 days last time we were up. The shops are all close by and plenty to choose from for your meals. I think there are 2 or 3 pubs all reasonable with the meals. The public pools are just up the road also for something different. All in all not bad.

Very nice motel to stay in with a central location. Nice rose garden opposite and town center has all you need. One room with comfy queen and two singles and nice cooling in the warm weather. More cover/shade for the pool would be handy especially on 40 degree days.

Overpriced....... the rooms are old & tired, need maintenance [shower areas] and in general need to be of a higher std to warrant $120 per night....Unfortunately it is the only motel in town, and.would benefit from some competition. Also found the operators/owners light on customer service skills....generally unhelpful and argumentative....and given no reason to be??
