Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

All good. We booked into an unpowered campsite, and had the area pretty much to ourselves. We chose a spot relatively close to a camp kitchen / toilet block. Both this area and the amenities block itself were clean and well-maintained. There wasn't any gr5ass where we set up, but there are other areas where there is. Value for money, I'd have no hesitation staying here again.

We love Natimuk and its people, but the managers of this caravan park make it a place to be avoided. The caravan park is quiet as it is 4kms out of town and the edge of a (usually) dry lake - the lake has only had water in it once in the past 12 years. Thats not too say that the place doesn't have any appeal if you are looking for somewhere not too be found.

The grounds are pretty dusty - no grass, but there are fire pits you can have open fires year round. The toilet facilities are clean, but the showers next to useless. the hot water only trickles from the tabs and there is not drinking water.

On our last visit we were treated by a 60th birthday sign and a fairly full park (have never seen more than 2 group in the entire park before). When checking in we asked the female manager if they though the group was going to be noisy to which her reply was "At 6pm I lock this door and you can knock all you like I won't answer". Having said that the large group was very respectful of the other guests and did not cause any issues. However on our last morning I was walking to the shower block when a small dog came charging at me and (while only small) thought I was going to get bitten. I shouted at the dog in my shock and then noticed I guy standing there watching me and I asked if that was his dog. He replied yes and I asked if he worked in the park as he was tending to the facilities and he quite proudly stated he was the manager. I then asked for him to control the dog to which he told me to "Shut up and piss off". I say no more!

Sambo and Sal the Gal - what lovely hosts. Have been coming here for years on climbing trips because of the great facilities. HOT showers and not crowded. Units have gas to cook with, proper mattresses and now new TV if you want to watch the news.
Hey - you know, little dogs bark. The littler the dog the bigger the bark - get over yourself.

Sam the owner encourages people to come and shoot ducks from the caravan park. This overtakes the whole experience, being woken up by shot gun blasts right next to your camp site is un nerving, I do not feel safe with guns being used in my line of sight. I like to appreciate water birds, this place is all about killing them, don't forget a bullet proof lining for your tent, there shooting that close, its a disgrace.

We stayed there for one night as the only guests. The park looked abandoned, the ladies amenities were dirty and looked like they have not been cleaned for ages: lots of (dead and alives) insects and (huge) spiders.
This park should either close during low activity periods or the owner should make sure the place is maintained and cleaned on a regular basis.
We stayed on many camping sites during our trip in Australia, but this was by far the worst!

There's no water in the lake but it has its own beauty, especially at sunrise and sunset. We stayed in a clean, well-equipped cabin (there was even lite milk supplied, as well as full cream). The managers are friendly and obliging. We had a lovely, peaceful stay, bird-watching by day and star-gazing at night. Loved it.

My husband and I stopped overnight here on a powered site. The location out of town is quiet and attractive, very close to the lake. There are lots of birds and the amenities are very clean. Best shower I've had in weeks!

I've been visiting this caravan park since 1989 and it has undergone many good changes since then. It used to be a manky toilet / shower block with a few powered sites but mostly camping. These days there are comfortable cabins that are fully self contained where you can enjoy the full kitchen facilities. Bonus - tv's are installed
If you're camping, you can choose yourself a nice spot that suits your needs. The toilets and showers are great but I'm always mindful of water usage as it can get limited out here in the WImmera.
Sometimes the Lake gets blue green algae and you can't swim in it - sigh! Sometimes it gets very low and you can't swim in it - sigh! Sometimes it's a mozzie nightmare - Sigh! But stay because the sunrises and sunsets towards Mt. Arapiles are stunning.
The owners Sambo and Sal are very helpful and eager to make your stay comfortable.
This place is wheelchair friendly and about 5kms from town so buy all your needs prior to coming to the Caravan Park.
PS - some of the climbers come here just for a hot shower and pay the owners a fee. Very sweet of them to do that.

I wanted to highlight the fully functional kitchen containing gas stove and electric oven allows one to cook up a feast! Cabin 2 has great separation between the bedrooms. It's neat, comfortable and a hot shower after climbing at Mt Arapiles - better than being eaten alive by the mozzies this wet unseasonal spring. If you're camping, the shower and toilet block are of high standard compared to others I've stayed at. The funds go to non for profit. I recommend you support the Natimuk Lake Caravan Park and enjoy a comfortable stay.

Because of adverse weather & a School group using the facilities, the Park manager didn't encourage us to stay. We however didn't want to travel further, so we opted for a cabin. Couldn't have been happier. Warm, dry, clean & comfy. Cooked a baked dinner.
Managers were more than helpful. Pity we couldn't appreciate the location. Lake was filling. Water, water everywhere!!!
