Unfortunately I was so disappointed. The superficial upgrades left a lot to be desired. The plaster was cracking in every room and had just been painted over. The bed was hard and both me and my partner woke up each morning with sore backs and hips from laying on springs. The bathroom was a disgrace, given the appearance of the outside the bathrooms are horribly out of date. Our shower curtain, yes shower curtain, was overed in black mould and the skin was simply not workable. Scolding hot water out of one tap and freezing cold out of the other. Over they need to be fully
renovated. We were also awaken every morning by the screaming pipes, I believe this is because the plumbing is so old. So at 6.38am when the person in the next room had a shower the pipes screamed for the 20 minutes making sleeping an impossibility. I also understand why there are no pictures of the bathrooms on any website, to be honest if I had have seen pictures I would never have booked.
The whole experience was just really disappointing and put a dampener on what a great town Mrytleford is to spend the weekend.
I'd look for some alternative accommodation further in town.
It was an easy (very scenic) hour’s drive to see the snow at Mt Buffalo.
We will be back!
The rooms are beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean & the shower was brilliant. Parking is perfect.
The owners made us feel very welcome and could not do enough for us in their advice and suggestions on what is what in the area.
"Lovely quiet motel. Fantastic pool, small grassed area and under cover BBQ area. Comfy beds."Read full review
