Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We stayed here on the first night of our cycling trip from Beechworth to Bright. Our room was located towards the rear of the property and it was spacious. The bed was comfortable and we had a good night’s sleep. We were definitely refreshed for the next day’s riding. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would happily stay here again.

Good little motel for an overnighter in Myrtleford. Very clean and comfortable. Close to town and some of the local sights. The eating recommendations they gave us were spot on. The drive up to Reform Hill Lookout was different but worth it. We’d stay again.

I booked this hotel because I had eaten at the resturant years ago and the way lots was immaculate (this is obviously before the chef left) and so I had fairly high expectations about the rooms.
Unfortunately I was so disappointed. The superficial upgrades left a lot to be desired. The plaster was cracking in every room and had just been painted over. The bed was hard and both me and my partner woke up each morning with sore backs and hips from laying on springs. The bathroom was a disgrace, given the appearance of the outside the bathrooms are horribly out of date. Our shower curtain, yes shower curtain, was overed in black mould and the skin was simply not workable. Scolding hot water out of one tap and freezing cold out of the other. Over they need to be fully
renovated. We were also awaken every morning by the screaming pipes, I believe this is because the plumbing is so old. So at 6.38am when the person in the next room had a shower the pipes screamed for the 20 minutes making sleeping an impossibility. I also understand why there are no pictures of the bathrooms on any website, to be honest if I had have seen pictures I would never have booked.
The whole experience was just really disappointing and put a dampener on what a great town Mrytleford is to spend the weekend.
I'd look for some alternative accommodation further in town.

Wonderful motel, super helpful hosts who do everything they can to ensure your stay is comfortable and relaxing like putting the room heating on before you arrive and making sure you have everything you need. Very lovely fresh clean rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, and great water pressure with ample hot water, so often lacking in motel type accommodation. Thanks Tim and Di! We’ll be back!

Large well-appointed rooms with comfy bed and doona. Excellent pool with large seating area and new 2 x 4burner BBQs. Quiet location on edge of town with 2 min drive to town centre and short stroll to a cellar door for winetasting. We used this motel as a base camp for doing the Bright Wangaratta Rail Trail bicycle run over 2 days and worked a treat, very relaxing after hard day's ride. Friendly helpful staff. Highly recommended

Thank you surfergt for your lovely review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us . The BBQ & Pool area are very popular with our guests. Myrtelford is located in the very beautiful North East of Victoria & is very central to many towns within a 30 minute drive so is a fantastic base for our guests. We are also very fortunate that the Rail Trail is right at our front door. We look forward to seeing you again in the future. Stay safe & best wishes

The Myrtleford Alpine Motel was a great place to stay. Our newly renovated room was very comfortable. The cooked breakfast was delicious and great value for money.
It was an easy (very scenic) hour’s drive to see the snow at Mt Buffalo.
We will be back!

I stayed as part of a golf group with our partners for a 4 day weekend. The owners Di and Tim were so helpful when making the booking and accommodated our groups needs without any problems. We arranged a cooked breakfast each morning in the dining area and Tim prepared a delicious breakfast for an early session with the golfers, and then a later session for our partners. They also prepared a magnificent array of salads and deserts for our Friday evening BBQ. The Motel has excellent facilities for groups, singles or couples, and the rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. We will certainly be coming back.

The managers were so welcoming of our group and nothing too much trouble including driving us into town in small groups seeing it was raining. Rooms nicely renovated and spotless. The beds so comfortable it felt like home. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. We’ll be back 👍

The Motel on Alpine is a 'must stay' place. The motel is not far from the CBD where you will find an amazing variety of cuisine, interesting shops & on some Saturdays a lovely market.
The rooms are beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean & the shower was brilliant. Parking is perfect.

The owners made us feel very welcome and could not do enough for us in their advice and suggestions on what is what in the area.

Great hosts, pool, bbq facilities. We booked this motel because it had a toaster, microwave, kettle & some cutlery & crockery, after a long trip due to Victoria lockdown this place catered for the needs of travellers with the care & thoughtfulness required which most had missed. I would highly recommend this place. Comfortable quiet room as well.
