Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was a very unjque style of motel unit. It felt like we were in a ski cabin in Europe somewhere. It was simple, clean, modern and efficient. With contactless check-in using a computer screen, we were checked in and inside in minutes with a coded entry. It was well sealed and warm and everything else was comfortable and worked properly. For this price it represents fabulous value. We have stayed in many motels along the way that were more expensive and nowhere near as good. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking to stay in the area.

Refurbished beautifully.
Bistro service and food was great - had the salt and pepper squid, chicken schnitzel and lamb rosemary sausages. The warm cosy fire was a lovely touch and the rustic furniture and ambience is so inviting.
Sports bar and beer garden very spacious. Will definitely be back, highly recommended

1st time in 50 years of walking into pubs that we were greeted by a lovely bloke who showed us where the dining options were, showed us the menus etc and even helped carried our drinks back to our table. Little dining room was nice and quiet (good for us older folk) and went out of their road to adjust the aircon to suit one of our party. Food was above pub grub standard, Barra, Risotto and Pasta all good.

Unanimous. The WORST meal ever. Waited 2 hrs 40 mins and the last batch was inedible and left on plates. No apologies from management. Do NOT eat there. The menu had 3 items and it was clear these were supermarket fare overheated in microwave

My first time staying above a pub. As we were lead to our room I was quite impressed. The room had been renovated so everything was tastefully decorated. The room was fitted with all you need for a stay. Kettle/teacoffee facility, fridge, lighting/ceiling lamps, comfy bed with crisp sheeting, USB charging station, TV with many stations, Lots of storage & a lovely shower with a choice of 2 heads. Access to balcony facing onto the main street with a table for 2.
In the heart of the town walking distance to all shops cafe etc. Had lunch at the pub. It had a lot of choice off the menu. Did the mosaic trail walk. Walked to the reserve and ended in the heart of town. Approx 5km. Easy.
Luckily for us there was a rodeo in town on that night. First time event & I loved it. I would definitely stay again.

The rooms have just been upgraded and they were beautiful. Large and very comfirtable queen bed with brand new high quality linen. Well appointed ensuite, cofee, tea and a lovely balcony to watch the world go by. Friendly staff who made sure our bikes were looked after. Highly recommend.

Excellent food and hosts, nice cold beer with plenty of choice. Rooms are newly refurbished, beds are great as are the bathrooms. Really good typical country pub. Highly recommend stopping in if you are in the region. The beer garden is excellent!!

Rooms were small but clean and cheap. Had old TV, ensuite, but don’t drink the water before boiling.
Beds were comfortable . Noisy til midnight , Air conditioning worked. Impossible to sleep as all rooms infested with bed bugs. Do not stay there.. Food was OK though .

Response from RyanJ71, Owner Manager at Myrtleford Hotel
Responded 1 Aug 2009
Bed bugs are quite common in accomodation outlets and are also easily removed. They are passed on by travellers on their clothing and luggage and do not mark a venues hygiene. We had one room that had bed bugs. This was our first instance in the 5 and a half years of managing our venue. For all travellers, if you experience bed bugs in a venue it is vital that you let management know so that they can address the issue promptly and offer the guest an alternative. It is unfortunant that the guest who wrote a comment on our hotel did not speak to us first. We now have a pest control professional inspect all of our rooms on a quarterly basis.

8 of us Stopped in for lunch today, after an hour waiting for our lunch , we were all served mouldy bread with our steak sandwiches and burgers , the chips and other ingredients were all poor as well the lady was most apologetic and offered to remake but too late these should not of passed out of the kitchen, a refund was asked for and granted.
