We booked their biggest accommodation on the 5th of July 2021. After carrying all our luggage on possibly the most challenging flight of stairs in Mt Hotham, we were welcomed to a rather untidy, definitely not covid-cleaned accommodation, with saggy mattresses and old, raggedy linens. The room and hotel itself were not well maintained and no customer service to speak with prior to our stay. I suggest book elsewhere when in Mt Hotham. Don't make this your last resort even if it's available like we did. Our friends in another accommodation paid less for a much better accommodation.
Good accommodation with great snow runs right at the door. You can snowboard straight from the entrances on level 5. Situated close to good runs & the snow bus stops right out the front to take you to all the runs. Good restaurant on level 2.
When you stay at the Arlberg you are central to everything on the mountain. The ski runs are literally out the front door. The building has it's own ski-hire, shop, bar and pool. Rooms have the most incredible views of the slopes.
Could not get a better location. Out the door and on the slops within seconds. Price is on par with the entire mountain. You could probably get cheaper off the hill but that would mean over an hour commute up and down each day. Room is basic, facilities are great, food in the restaurant has improved since my last trip up. Great place to stay if you want to enjoy the slopes. If you plan to stay in your room then you'd probably be best suited staying in Bright.
Paid $625 per night at the height of the ski season. Now picture going to a school camp in early 80’s. Not one thing has been renovated since then. Like a time capsule with no effort.. old cheap flower printed linen, $2 pillows, cranky lift, dirty reception, dirty rooms .. dirty everything. Hotham locals laughed when we told them where we were staying!
