Clean and serviceable not expensive. Basic. No ability to wash up and shampoo and conditioner combo plastic packs that are impossible. Recommend taking own toiletries because not even a dispenser on wall of shower. Plus is location close to town and not a long walk to beach

We stayed 2 nights and paid $150 per night which is about as cheap as it gets.
Pros
Great position close to shops and restaurants on Main street.
The rooms are small and modest but look like they have had a recent lick of paint and new blinds.
Good shower and fairly comfy bed
Good security with entry by remote after about 8.30 pm
Friendly staff

Cons
Way overpriced but Mornington is severely lacking in accommodation choices so they can charge whatever they want.
Seriously disgusting cracked wooden toilet seat, I can't imagine how many germs it harboured... yuck , and the toilet leaked constantly. Overdue for an upgrade for sure.

This motel is very old in style but, it is very clean has had a small facelift from when I stayed a long way back. Great beds, very clean bathroom area, perfect for 1 or 2 night stay. Has a gate at entrance closed at night so vehicles are safe. Staff are very welcoming. We normally stay elsewhere once or twice a year but will now stay here. Toaster and microwave make it great for self catering.

I am visiting from New Zealand and I contacted the motel to ask a question about their swimming pool and got a very rude response back. Terrible customer service experience and I will never stay there in the future. Extremely disappointed.

We were looking for a quick overnight stay in the area, and the Mornington Motel was perfect. Quick check-in, parking right outside the room, spotless room and enough room for our family of four, with our two kids sharing the sofa bed. Fridge, microwave, good shower, effective heating. Would definitely stay again.

Great place for an overnighter. Rooms comfortable and clean. Check in was easy and very welcoming.
Conveniently located being a short walk from the shopping and restaurant precinct.

Would stay here again if we needed to stay in Mornington again.

This motel is not four star but it was clean and neat and did the job. The rooms are small but clean and well decorated. (too bad about the toilet seat that was not fixed as it should have been) but overall basic but good. The WiFi worked well and the pool was good.

I have never been spoken to by a business person as I have by the owner of this motel. My experience was disgusting and it makes me so upset that people can be allowed to treat customers as this owner did me......
After booking over the phone for 2 nights I was asked what time I expected to arrive and check in and I said around 7pm on a Friday night. I was never told though that they ask this because the reception shuts at 6:30pm (?!) Given I drove from the city on a Friday night the traffic was terrible and I was on track to arrive at around 8:30pm instead. At 8pm I received a VERY abusive and intensely rude phone call from the owner demanding to know my whereabouts as I had not arrived at the exact time I had approximated. When I said I wasn't told the the reception closed at 6:30pm and that I didn't appreciate his accusatory and aggressive tone he proceeded to shout at me telling me he didn't want people 'like me' staying at his hotel and that I was not welcome to stay anymore. Given I had paid upfront and had received absolutely no information on their opening hours or any confirmation of booking fail etc I was flabbergasted that he was so unfairly and unreasonably aggressive. If I had realised you could not check in past 6:30 I would not have chosen this motel as that is not a reasonable time to get there from Melbourne after work. To then be rung and abused - and then left STRANDED half way to Mornington with no hotel was absolutely disgusting. I then had to turn around and return home at 8pm at night as everywhere in Mornington was heavily booked for the weekend. I have never been so shaken up in my life. Disgusting. These people have absolutely no right to speak/treat guests like this - and when they do expect that people are going to sit back and be 'told off' by a motel owner for checking in when is convenient to me as a paying guest. I implore anyone to avoid this disgracefully run motel at all costs. TERRIBLE.

We booked a room here using Agoda. Unfortunately when we arrived, we were informed by motel Management that they had double-booked and cancelled our booking. Apparently they emailed Agoda to say that.

However, Agoda never received that information, and still had our booking as confirmed.

We understand that mix-ups can happen, however there was no need for the Motel Management to have been so rude and unhelpful. Ultimately, if they were double-booked, they should have bent over backwards to help us resolve - instead, they could not have cared any less about us, and our weekend was spoilt.

Plus, from looking around at the place it is filthy and I would never stay or book here ever again. I URGE YOU ALL TO HEED THIS WARNING AS THEY ARE VERY UNPLEASANT PEOPLE.

I emailed the motel regarding the cost and availability for a night. I got a response from Denis which wasn't clear so I had to ask him to clarify. His response was simply "cost as stated". I then advised it wasn't clear as to the cost so I need it clarified as I was enquiring on behalf of 5 others. His response was "It's now sold" when only 10 minutes earlier had he stated it was available.
Denis is obviously a grumpy, bored man with no customer service skills - so very unhelpful! I hope the rooms speak for themselves as customer service won't get him over the line in this place. We have now booked elsewhere and are looking forward to our night away.
