Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This little cottage is on the outskirts of Maldon. The room was spacious enough for our family of 4. With everything you need for your stay weather its short or long. The place was clean and tidy, beds were comfy and adequate.20 min walk into town and plenty to do. The owner Adrian was so lovely and kind and easy to talk to.

Motel Maldon was more than just your ordinary Motel. Great care & attention has been taken to making your stay a positive one. The rooms are beautifully curated in a modern country style. Very clean , warm & cosy in this winter weather. Highly recommend this place to stay when visiting Maldon for a weekend away or just traveling through. Gil & Jo Phillip Island .

Have travelled the world & could not think of a more enjoyable stay than at Motel Maldon in this tiny historic town. Friendly, immaculately clean, incredibly serene surroundings. If you want a break or a jump off point to explore the area make this your destination. I would go back in a heartbeat.

What a delightful place to stay, from the spotlessly clean rooms to the pretty cottage gardens. Owners Olivia & Adrian really care: and are helpful hosts. Recommend this accommodation as it’s also cosy in the rooms, and in a quiet location. Thank you.

I went to visit my friend who was staying at this motel, yesterday. I was warmly welcomed by the owner who was just so helpful. He was kind and said that I, too, could stay in my friend’s room at no extra cost. I could not stay, but really wanted to do so. The room was clean/ comfortable and the garden setting just so beautiful. The owner patiently gave me clear directions how to return to Melbourne. I would recommend this motel and I certainly hope to return to do some bush walking.

Excellent motel, with great rooms that open onto well maintain gardens with native birds. All facilities were very clean and well-maintained. Close to the shops and cafes of Maldon and Castlemaine but also very quiet. Great for couples. Will come back again. Plus the management is very welcoming and always cheerful and willing to assist you.

Stayed here as it's close to Bendigo where our kids/grandkids live. Thought be good spot for our xmas catch up. We asked the Motel owners if it be ok if we used their garden , table and chairs plus BBQ for 4 kids and 3 adults , not a problem to the owners, more than happy to help. Being a hot day the kids were allowed to use the pool as well. Can't thank them enough. Now that said , the Motel is an absolute treat, the garden the rooms , the whole setting has been done so well. The bed was very comfortable , the bathroom was a decent size and very clean. Parking was at our back door.We highly recommend this Motel , you will be pleasantly surprised .

The charm of yesteryear is present in every nook and cranny of this delightful 11 room motel just a 15 minute walk from the main drag of the historic town of Maldon. The rooms are well equipped, clean and quaintly decorated. The new owners Olivia and Adrian were most hospitable. But the piece de resistance is the central garden where there are many peaceful areas to retreat and enjoy the morning bird song with a cuppa or a bevvie later on in the day.

Lovely people and a very pleasant place. The garden is gorgeous and the rooms are well appointed if maybe slightly on the small side. Very clean and well maintained. Ideal for 4 blokes visiting the area. A good location about 1km from town and very quiet apart from a few barking dogs in the area.
