We attended a wedding at a Yarra Glen Winery. This motel is only a ten to fifteen minute easy drive from there and is certainly a far cheaper option than staying anywhere in close proximity to the venue. The room we had was large, comfortable, firm bed and couch, table and chairs, good shower head, microwave and plenty of crockery and cutlery if needed. We also availed ourselves of the breakfast which was plentiful and fresh. This motel is on the main road but there was no street noise. Unfortunately there were very inconsiderate people talking loudly until well after midnight near us which we understand is not the fault of the motel.

Booking with the staff was easy and efficient, I stayed Christmas Eve and they rang us to ensure we would be able to access the room on arrival. The room is set up perfectly for my disability nas spotlessly clean, with plenty of room, bars to hold onto and even a shower chair. Thank you Yarra Valley Motel for an excellent stay

Checkin & out was very easy and quick, very nice staff at front desk and helpful, with personality! Not something you get a lot of these days.Room was very clean and bed very comfortable. We were only there for one night and really didn't spend much time there. We did think it was a little pricey for what it is but we were attending a concert and it was close to Rochford Winery and Lilydale station for a bus to the winery. They are apparently getting there own bus soon so that will made it even more appealing for some. It is walking distance to eating places but it is up hill on the return trip. There is an indoor pool that I didn't see or get to use but it's there. Overall a really lovely stay.

This motel is in a great location to stay if cycling the Warburton Railtrail, access is only around the block. Also it’s close to town to walk for dinner. Room was comfortable a little noisy on the Friday night, but the Thursday night was quiet. Pool isn’t heated and the spa didn’t work, also no pool towels available. Pool was nice after a long cycle thou. Room was clean.

We can not recommend this motel for a stay of more than 1 night. We had frequently stayed in the Yarra Valley Motel prior to covid19 and were very satisfied. When we booked we didn't realise the motel was under new management. We booked for 1 week and payed 169 dollars per night. The room service happened once in that week.I requested the bins be emptied daily a d fresh towels daily as the weather was cold and wet and the towels didn't dry.The bins were emptied 3 times and a banana peel removed but bin not emptied on the 4th day.Fresh towels were supplied 3 times. No vacuuming or bed making or linen changes occurred during the week. There was no net curtain over the window so for privacy the blind had to be drawn and light on.There was no drawer storage or bedside lamps. 4 coat hangers were provided in the wardrobe. The bed was comfortable and the reverse cycle air conditioner adequate. The shower and bathroom did not seem to be cleaned but the basin was wiped down 3 times. We were disappointed and do not have the same experience.

My family and I stayed at the motel on the 20th of March as we were in town for a 40th birthday party. When we first arrived we were told that we were being "upgraded" to a larger room. This, however, was not an upgrade as we were placed into a two storey house that was seperated by a locked door at the top of the stairs. When we arrived back to the motel at about 11 there were a number of drunk young people playing loud music, yelling and stomping around. Although we contacted the night manager we were informed that there was nothing that could be done. If we were given our original (non upgraded) room then there wouldn't have been an issue.

After unsuccessfully trying to find another hotel in Melbourne we ended up having to drag the mattresses into the front room and I ended up sleeping on the couch. We barely got any sleep before having to leave early to drive back to the airport. This whole situation was unacceptable and I feel that this only happened so that the motel could fit more people in for the night.

After emailing the motel and requesting that someone contact me regarding our stay, I heard nothing back. The service and overall experience was terrible and I'd recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

Everything looked the same, nice and clean. I was looking forward to my stay, but that changed.
The water in the shower was different, not great, water temp. was going hot to cold throughout my showers every day and there was mould in the shower, that was a surprise.
No drinking glasses in my room, I left 2 mugs in the bathroom sink to be washed and they were returned to the cupboard, still dirty, when I returned later in the day.
I mistakenly left my phone charger in the room when I left. The person I spoke to on the phone said "we are unable to post it to you". He'll keep it for a month for me to pick up. Difficult when I live across the other side of the state.
This motel was my favourite.
I didn't see or speak to any familiar people, wondering if the business has changed hands since my last visit. I was disappointed.

Hi Les, Firstly, many thanks to you for sharing your experience and staying with us. I am sorry to see your last stay was not pleasant enough due to not meeting your expectation. :( We have already organised a plumber to inspect the water issue you mentioned, and will fix it straight away if it still exits. we service guest room once a day unless your request extra services. Since you last stay was one night only, I would suggest you to give our 24/7 reception a buzz to request a room service for new mugs/glasses/cups. As what we discussed over the call last time in regards to your Phone Charger, please be advised that AusPost no longer provides 'Cash On Delivery' service, you will need to purchase a bag which carrys maximum 5kg item to send us, So that we can post your lost item. Either way, we can keep your item in safe so that you could organize a pick up when you had a chance. Again, thank you for your continuous support, I look forward to welcoming you again, and I can hereby confirm to provide you the best motel service in town. :) If you still have any concern and question, please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss. Best regards, Craig

We booked this as a last minute night away.
The room smelled musty, on further inspection we discovered the shower was full of MOULD. We also found MOUND on the bench under the air conditioning unit.
The staff made it very difficult to arrange another room, which was also NOT CLEAN.
We decided not to stay, and are still fighting for a refund

My husband, daughter and I booked 3 nights at this hotel so we could experience the Yarra Valley. Due to covid most accommodation was booked out. Lilydale was a lovely town and the hotel was in a good location, but the room (Family room/1 bedroom apartment) was horrible!!! There were large spiders in all rooms with cobwebs on the celling. The kitchen bin was filthy dirty, the white coffee cups were stained, the sliding door balcony windows were dirty with white hand marks all over them. The lounge was so gross you didn’t want to sit on it. I asked cleaning staff to to clean everything after the first night ( which they did ) but they didn’t get the spiders!!! I would avoid this motel unless the rooms are throughly cleaned.

We stayed at this motel for one night. Conveniently located for quick access to the Yarra Valley. The room was clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. The only negative was our room smelt of cigarette smoke when we first arrived even though it was a non smoking room. An airing fixed this issue.
