Service and front of house, superb. Food was best I have eaten in a restaurant for many years. Wine list extensive, I started with chef’s tasting plate a trio of amuse bouche which was a feast for the eyes (and yum) my main dish was barramundi, fresh and delicious with perfect accompaniment of chat potatoes and vegetables. Desert was panacotta. The choices also included a daily special menus. Looking forward to our next visit. Must mention that my partner’s beef cheek was mouth watering.

I arranged a small business meeting at the Glen Erin in May 2024. Myself and my team thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Glen Erin. We couldn't speak highly enough about the service and the food which was offered to us, in fact the food was an absolute highlight of our stay!
We also really enjoyed the offer of out door games to break up our meeting. The team at Glen Erin set up croquet, finska and quoits on the lawn for us on one of the afternoons and let us have a few beers whilst we played outside.
The team have requested we return for our Christmas meeting in early December and because we have raved about the Glen Erin to other colleagues, we will more than likely be a larger group when we (hopefully!) return.
Thanks again for a great experience.

It’s a lovely property set on a small rural road, amongst the trees, a small vineyard with a lodge type main space, including the bar and dining room. There are other buildings on the property for weddings, small conferences, etc.
The staff are lovely.
But the accommodation is very dated. Guessing last revisited in the 90’s so while spacious, the room and others we saw with doors open as we passed by were old. That’s where it went from country lodge feel to cheap motel feel.
There’s no storage space other than a small closet with 5 plastic hangers. The TV was small, old with horrid sound. The couch with what we assumed had a pull out bed, also old. The blinds, the towels, the bathroom, the carpeting and tiles all dated and worn. Even the complimentary toiletries were mismatched and scarce.
The king bed, however, was very comfortable as were the pillows. But the duvet, the ‘doona’ was in a dated bedspread that isn’t likely to get cleaned in between guests. Accommodations these days are going with freshly cleaned white sheets on both sides of the doona, plus one on top of the mattress so they get washed with every guest change.
Loved having extra towels and boxes of tissue in the room but some towels, while clean, were threadbare.
We loved the ‘Christmas in July’ dinner. It was beautifully cooked and presented. The staff were excellent.
We hope that the owners will consider and be able to update the rooms as mentioned above. If so, this venue will truly earn a 4 star rating. But it's really a 3 star now

I did not feel like writing a review, as when I read the replies to previous feedback, it is rather obvious the attitude is defensive and fault pushed back on the customer, however, here it is...Looking forward to reading how it is our fault for not enjoying the food.
Good points:
Lovely service, relaxed atmosphere, clean, great view.
Food:
Tasteless, below lukewarm, pork was dry and stringy, fish was greasy and over cooked...I could go on.
The lovely waitstaff was asking how things were and I started saying something when what appeared to be a kitchen staff out in the area looked at me rudely and in disbelieve said ‘really!?!?’.
Well, little point in giving feedback then and judging by the replies here, little point now as well.
Shame, as a really nice setting and close to home for regular trips.

I just recently had my wedding at this picturesque location. Great venue with heaps of room and photo locations. Every single staff member I encountered was exceptional especially Marcus, a fantastic help to my wedding day. Try to insist the owner Kim is not present on your day. She was terrific in her setting up but is the rudest person I’ve ever met in hospitality and I’m yet to have a guest not mention how rudely she interacted with them. If she’s going to be there on your day, go somewhere else 🤙

We attended our grandsons wedding stayed over night. As I have a lung condition cant get around much. When we arrived there was a wheel chair in our room. Staff kept asking if I need anything else. The wedding was perfect in all ways. Breakfast next morning was unbelievable so much to choose from. The venue was great staff very efficient.

We stayed here to go to my beautiful goddaughter’s wedding, staff amazing and friendly.
Room was superb.
The wedding was at Glen Erin and everyone and everything was amazing.
Grounds although wet were still spectacular.
The weather even came thru for us with the sun shining.
Thank you all so much

We had our wedding at Glen Erin late last year. Overall our experience was quite upsetting to say the least. Altough the grounds and facilites are amazing, the way the facility is run and managed is appalling. The director / wedding planners attitude was rude and direspectful. She managed to not only offend myself and my now wife, but other guests. Contractual obligations were not met, our wedding dance song was lost after it was handed to them 2 weeks prior, then we were accused of never giving it to her leaving us standing around waiting for approx 40 mins until they could download the song and play it. On 3 seperate occasions attempts were made to overcharge us even though we proved that the correct amounts had been prior. I regret having our wedding there and would encourage anyone considering to ensure retention in the amount being charged. We were made to pay up front, giving no option to option for reimbursement for poor service!! I hope our experience is never repeated.

Attended a wedding at this venue recently, and although the setting was very nice and the accommodation was good, I found the food at the wedding to be of a high standard, our breakfast was average! but most of all, myself and several guests founds the service by staff to be very poor. No smiles, performed their jobs like doing chores, they had lots of rules to follow and no one seemed happy doing their jobs. 2 exceptions were the young lady in reception and Natalie who served us at breakfast, these ladies knew hospitality!
