Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such a beautiful winery, surrounded by breathing taking views. Old buildings giving a feeling of going back in time. The underground cellar will not disappoint. Both food and wine were delicious. We will be back. Staff were friendly and professional. A glass of champagne when we arrived, was a lovely touch to the start of our stay.

Delightful location, friendly staff and a great venue for our family to celebrate a significant birthday. Simple food at the restaurant so don’t expect 5 star. Kid friendly and beautiful location. Lovely walks around the vineyards and down the country lanes. Excellent outdoor seating areas for a lazy afternoon of indulgence. We loved it.

Room Tip: Not high end food, just simple lunch fair but tasty and generous. Best fries.

The location was absolutely amazing! Such a great spot for a relaxing weekend away. Unfortunately, the facility wasn’t exactly as they advertised. The service and the staff were friendly and attentive, however, the quality of the food wasn’t the best. I was expecting more. The bedroom was nice but we couldn’t open the windows and the towels were stained. I think the venue has an amazing potential but they should change/ be more careful about some details.

Last minute decision to get away for the long weekend proved to be just the relaxing pace we were after. Great accommodation and restaurant. Staff were all amazing from reception to house cleaning and the restaurant and cellar door. Restaurant staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Absolutely stunning gardens and surrounds. Will highly recommend.

A recent trip to a what use to be an awesome winery was some what disappointing. With new owners taking over, some notable changes had taken place. Starting with the wines, with approx 5 wines and two, yes two reds available to taste and purchase. Some nice whites, however the reds Pinot & Shiraz were substandard to what we have previously tasted at the cellar door. Please bring back the Cleveland brand Reds taking from the winery itself, they were beautiful including the sparkling Pinot. They changes to the décor seemed very odd considering the rustic old world charm that many people love about the place. By all means do a few mod con changes but please leave some authentic rustics that go so well with place. So the rooms were still very comfortable and had been upgraded no issues there. We were there for dinner on the Saturday night in which we could not fault the food, a credit to the Chefs. The wine again was just ok. What we love about this winery is your staff, seriously they go above and beyond to help make patrons stay a pleasure. Two staff we chatted to at dinner, Kayla and Brontë were fantastic again nothing was to much trouble, which is why we love our stays there. 100% will be back, hopefully something can be done with the wines as we love visiting the underground cellar door.

An interesting experience. Very scenic and relaxing location. Customer service was good, in particular Kayla and Bronte at the dinner service, who were very welcoming. Unfortunately it may have been just bad timing, as we had no room fridge, apparently delivery was delayed. The lack of stock for the Cleveland wines was also a little disappointing. Would I go again? Yes, but I’d check they have a fridge and more stock for tasting.

From check in to walking around this magnificent property is a must if you are keen to get away from melb . Came here after being recommended by a lovely lady we bought wallnuts off at the Kyneton markets a few weeks ago only for lunch @ great wine ! So after driving out for lunch on Saturday they were full due to a private function.... So we decided to book onevof their wine, diner and stay packages .... What a great idea . So the room was very nice as we asked for a ground room.as you can access the exceptional gardens and walk straight over to the restaurant , wine cellar and the vinyards but as much as some of the winery & resort is old , some parts are amazing with nistalga , and walks through the gardens and vineyards are great . Then there was the Lunch and Diner ... The service by staff Bronte & Carlie were so down to earth , professional & so friendy !!! 20 out of 10 ..... The lunchtime wood fired pizzas are well worth it too as its real wood in the oven ... Then as we made it to dinner the whole staff make you feel very at home . Dinner was all good , however we ordered the scallops that were vvery fresh but the corn fritters were not quite cooked and seemed a little out of place ... With my black angus eye fillet with safron.potato .... WOW another 10 out of 10 ... My mates barramundi was also a 9/10 And the Cleveland wines well they all were exceptional .... I personly liked the pinot and my mate liked the Cleveland Chardaney ... The dersert was ok.but the chocolate moose with macaroons frim woolworths or coles did not cut it im.sorry but you're on the right track.... Overall we will be back but maybe we will check as some of your wines were quote Sold out ... All in all I would highly recommend the wine , dinner and stay and once again. A Big THANKS TO Bronte , and Carlie and all the magnificent Staff for a great Saturday @ Sunday as the breakfast was amazing too . Cheers

We visited the winery for a Sunday lunch after having been given a voucher over a year ago that we had been unable to use due to lockdowns. It seemed very tired in the dining room. No ambience, no music, no greenery but beautiful views from the deck. No shade available though. Pizza was the main course on the menu although there were entrees and desserts too. It was quite busy . We had visited the winery before and had a great time. Small changes could make a huge difference here.

Stayed there for 2 nights. Had 2 superior rooms. If these rooms were the higher priced ‘superior’ rooms, I would hate to see their standard room. Basic facilities. Tv was not much bigger then a laptop screen. Rooms needed a bit of a spruce up. Mould in shower, grouting falling away. Mini bar kept me awake all night (very noisy). Room furniture very tired and well used. Needs an upgrade. For $500 per room for 2 nights you would expect something a bit better. Dinner at their carriage house restaurant however was great. Not cheap but worth the price for a good meal.
