My wife and I visited in early August. Although the weather was bracing to arrive, the welcome was warm, as was the Kanara and the rooms. We stayed in the King Suite in a double room, which was very spacious for only two of us. I noticed there were other rooms for larger groups. Initially, we wondered whether this would be too remote, but the location is central to a lot of places nearby. We did a tour, and the other rooms looked delightful as well. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to get out of the rat race for a little. We'll be returning at some stage.

We stumbled across this place by chance, and what a find!!! Our family of four stayed in the main house on the property. The farm is in a picturesque location, and provides a very peaceful and relaxing environment to enjoy your getaway. Our host Lyn was extremely accommodating, and clearly has a passion for the unique experience that is provided. Highly recommended.

My partner and I stayed in the settlers hut April 7th and 8th 2018, it was a beautiful historic hut. Comfortable, the bird life was amazing and a quiet location to get away from the noise of the city. Everything was perfect, Lyn the owner of the farm is lovely and I appreciate the vision that she has for hemp farming. A very idyllic setting.

We enjoyed old world luxury in the tastefully decorated main building, kept toasty warm by the log fire. Our room was spotlessy clean with a bed large enough to span time zones. We would have been equally cozy and comfortable in any of the fascinating period buildings around the property, each with its unique character. The owner couldn't have made us feel more welcome and knew all the best places in the area to shop, eat and explore.

Thanks so much for your review! We look forward to your return some time in the future when you could experience one of the other buildings. Winter can be a little desolate, despite the wood fire, so hopefully you will consider returning in a warmer season - the season changes are so pronounced here - it's so lovely to be in touch with nature!

The farm has many transplanted historic buildings lovingly renovated to original styles. A unique place in beautiful countryside. Good eateries in surrounding villages. The owner is very ecologically minded, knowledgeable, and very welcoming. Her various animals and crops complete the rural relaxation.

Just returned from a wonderful 3 day stay at Bunjil Farm in the Goldfields area in rural Vic. Loved it and it simply was not long enough. We were looking to relax and unwind after a hectic year and totally switch off from city life. We found a little piece of rural paradise - far more than we were expecting. We stepped back in time and had an experience that far outweighed our expectations. Thanks to your wonderful hospitality Lyn. You made us feel very welcomed and the yummy breakfast was divine - especially your Chook eggs !!! We will be back - our stay was so relaxing and your unique farm with all the various animals, buildings, gardens and scenery was just what we needed. We left with many fond memories. Thank you and we look forward to booking in again soon.

Thank you, Fiona! Apologies for the delayed response - whilst the hemp farm and B&B are my passions, my technology skills leave a little to be desired and I hadn't realised you had sent through a review! We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

This year has been ridiculously busy so my mum and I decided that we wanted a break from city life so we booked a farm stay on a whim for four nights. Best decision we could have made. Bunjil farm is absolutely breathtaking. Every time we took a walk around the farm we noticed something else. It is so picturesque. We stayed in the 'Settlers Hut' which is this incredible little cottage, late 1800s theme surrounded by a quaint garden and rolling hills. For breakfast there was fresh sourdough bread from the local artisan bakery 'Grist' which is only 15mins from the farm in Kyneton and definitely worth a visit! Variety of jams and traditional spreads, farm fresh eggs (check out The incredible chook house located behind the main house), selection of teas and coffee, organic juice and gourmet yogurts. Such a simple but delicious breakfast! Had such a relaxing time. It was an incredible way to end the year. Would highly recommend. We will definitely be back again soon! …

Hi Maddie - thanks for your kind words - I have only just realised that you have posted a review. I guess I've been spending most of my time outdoors and not in front of my computer! Actually, we encourage visitors to leave behind their "devices" and allow themselves to soak up the country air and surroundings (which is exactly what you managed to do)! We look forward to seeing you back again soon. :-)

My wife & I spent two days in the King room at Bunjil Farm. The owner Lyn was delightful to talk to & extremely helpful. Our bedroom was spacious & the huge bed very comfortable. The front room where we ate our breakfast & read our books was decorated in late 19th early 20th century furniture which gave an added feeling of warmth & comfort. No free internet, no television,no radio which was great & made you just chill out for a change. The weather unfortunately wasn't kind to us but the rain on the roof of this lovely old house seemed to slow down the heart rate & you were almost transported to another more simpler time....we loved it.

Absolutely amazing farm with all the fun farm animals that you can think of, including friendly horses! Lyn was just the best host ever and was very willing to show us around the huge property or just let us be. Breakfast's were delicious and the Settlers Hut was oozing with charm! Honestly one of the best B&B's we've ever been to! If you want to curl up in old country style with a cozy fire and rustic room then this is your best bet, couldn't recommend more!

Thank you, Beatrice! I'm embarrassed that it's ten months since you posted this lovely review. I guess I have to get with the play a bit more with technology instead of pottering around the farm! This winter seems a little colder than last year, but the fire still makes the Settler's Hut cosy. The menagerie and I are still here when you next need an escape from your busy life.
