Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such a lovely peaceful small motel! Very clean, comfortable bed, but most importantly very quiet. We loved the extra little touches of Tim Tams and mentos lollies with the usual biscuits provided. If we are ever down that way again, we will definitely stay longer than one night so we can explore this cute little town further.

A great deal of care is taken in the maintenance of the rooms. They are always immaculately clean and very comfortable. I always have a very comfortable stay and the bed and pillows are great! Thanks to the manager.

Lovely accommodation. The host Helen was so helpful and friendly. Extremely clean and walking distance to town. The beds were extremely comfortable and really appreciated all of the little extras, that were complimentary. Helen was also very knowledgeable on local attractions and interesting tourist destinations. Definitely recommend this motel, to anyone looking for a somewhere to stay

The rooms were spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the towels thick and there were lots of added extras which were a lovely touch. We had stayed in more expensive accommodation which was not as good as the Central Highlands Motor Inn.

Our country is well and truly in lockdown and the world is experiencing a pandemic. This review is during these times so that has been taken into account. Clean and neat. Dated but does have some modern touch. Owners were lovely and I really feel for them in this time. Bed was fine for me. Room was large. WiFi didn’t let me down. Shower was terrible and the reason why this didn’t go 4 stars. Location is fantastic. Car park was terrible, PERFECT for SMALL cars anything bigger would make it difficult. My actual rating is 3.5 but unable to do that. I would stay again though.

Very large entertaining area at the back well serviced and clean. Short stroll or drive to city central . Dining in town was fantastic. We were up there for a 21st which wasn't far from there. The rooms were large and again very clean. Staff were helpful and supplied us with a map and points of interest.

We recently attended a two day course in Kyneton and stayed two nights at the Central Highlands Motel. The rooms although modest were spotlessly clean, well presented and comfortable. I do not like a shower curtain and being in Room 1 there was traffic noise. Although there is a toaster and fridge etc, there is no crockery and cutlery in the room. This was supplied on request. We were warmly welcomed and fare-welled. With a recent change of management and improvements planned, I am sure this motel will become a popular place to stay.

We spent two nights at this motel while visiting Kyneton. Only a small motel but maintained extremely well. Very comfortable beds and linen, spotless clean and very central location in the lovely town. A credit to the operators.

Undergoing some renovations when I stayed. Rooms nicely setup but cold in Winter, so you will need the heating on. Could hear tv in next room when I was trying to sleep, as guy had it on until 11.30pm, then he was up at 5pm to leave! Some road noise but not bad, but get a room down the back if you can. About 3min drive to the main street, but too far to walk to for most people. Some restaurants nearby but plenty to choose from on the main street. Continental breakfast only available. Excellent wi-fi service and for watching tv shows on demand instead of on the tv. Glad to see a recycling bin in my room, rarely seen this available previously. Bathroom spacious with excellent bench space both in bathroom and main room area and recently renovated. Turn fridge down overnight to reduce fridge noise, as it went on very frequently otherwise. Value for money I thought was mid range for Kyneton.
