Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Steve is a welcoming & very accommodating host. We had the Garden Suite for 4 nights. Smallbut well designed to maximise space so we were very comfortable. Fresh decor, good bathroom. Breakfast supplies were high quality & generous. Bed & pillows very comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Best of all Holly Lodge is in such a peaceful area. No sound other than birds & wind in the formidable trees. It is 5 minutes drive to Olinda & so worth being away from the bustle. Thank you Steve.

We stayed for 2 nights. We were delighted to be able to take our dog with us to the property. Steve the owner was very friendly and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. Property itself was clean and well presented. Set in a peaceful and tranquil part of the world it is the perfect getaway, whilst being a convenient driving distance from many lovely places for walking and eating. We will definitely be back!

We staid for 1 night and choose this place because we were able to take our dog. The bed was very comfy, the shower was great and the breakfast was perfect for us . Everything in the Dandenong ranges is close to get to from the accommodation. The owner Stephen was very lovely and accommodating. Recommend!

A very pleasant stay in beautiful surroundings. Room was comfortable and warm. Only complaint would be the very loud ticking of the wall clock which had the same effect as a dripping tap. Necessitated the removal of the battery. Problem solved. Good proximity to everything the Dandenong Ranges and it’s gorgeous villages has to offer. I would stay there again.

I stayed here with my boyfriend the weekend of Valentine’s Day, we were not impressed. Being dog friendly we were rapped to be taking the dog. It also stated that a continental breakfast was included. On the way we were messaged saying that there would be no one to check us in and we were to get the key and let ourselves in. It Was a tiny little space and The floors were extremely slippery for the dog and also us. Not very dog friendly as we were not even able to leave him while we went out for dinner. We had plans the next day we also had to cancel. The continental breakfast was terrible, all of the cerial in the room was stale and we had to ask for bread, which was bought to us from the freezer and had been previously opened. Overall i think for the price it was completely not worth it. I would not recommend
