Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went with wife , both of us 80. Have stayed at many places around the world as well as Oz. Stayed o'night and dined there. Value for money? You bet. Polite and friendly service.Knockers take note, "you get what you pay for." If I am lucky enough to go to Jamieson again I will return to the Courthouse Hotel. Great value. Thank you management, chef and staff.

New owners and new cha - what a difference. Really good food - certainly happy to recommend based on recent visit. Keep up the good work... and please don't take customers for granted like those past.

Four of us went for dinner, the staff were friendly, the service was great.we had bruschetta, salt and pepper squid ,steak and flathead tails, the bruschetta was yummy, but had no feta on it.the pepper sqid just melted in your mouth, the steak was cooked to perfection med/rare and was nice and tender, the flathead tails were just as yummy and the side salad had a nice dressing.lets get onto the bread and butter pudding,I think I make a pretty mean pudding, but the hotel one out did mine,it was light and fruity with cream and ice cream, thank you for enjoyable meal,we will be back

Extremely disappointed to say the least. We spoke to Steve and another guy there a least 4 times, face to face and on the phone, over a period of about a week, about getting ice for my sons wedding and they kept saying no worries no worries we'll have it for you, my husband goes to pick it up on the day and they had none , so my husband had to make a 3 hour round trip to Mansfield and we had to hold up the wedding for 1/2 an hour. I just don't get why you say it will be fine and then sell it all knowing someone had ordered some. I was there when they got a delivery on the 29th so they had it then. Thanks for nothing!!

The quaint Courthouse Pub delighted us with a smorgasbord of amazing food… tangy halloumi, spiciest of Buffalo Wings, substantial and tasty Parma, delicious Pork Ribs that fell off the bone and a unique lamb shank pie full of flavour. On top of that was the super friendly staff , lovely ambiance and stunning surrounds of Jaimeson. We will be back!!

$90 a night per double in a small not so clean room wasn't the best first impressions however finding out at 7 am via a note on the pub door that sorry no cooked breakfast this morning due to issues with the chef topped it off. Then to find out that the so called complimentary continental breakfast was lacking in a couple of basic essentials such as milk for the cereal or bread to make toast left us feeling frankly underwhelmed and ripped off. This was all taking place on our large club weekend. Management really don't give a stuff.

Jamieson has been one of our favourite places to go for 20 years, a few trips a year wether its 4wding, Motorbike riding or whatever, It's a beautiful place to visit.
There is a new Leaseholder and he is Grumpy. (Taller bald guy)
Saw him scream at a guy in the empty lounge for sitting near the fire while he was on the phone. Infront of other patrons. Told another guy off for trying to stoke the fire.
Not the sort of person that should be in the hospitality industry.
Along with another guy (shorter with a grey Goatee beard and zero personality) who never smiled once all weekend and every order/request was an effort.
This attitude is not good for buisness or good for the town and I feel sorry for the rest of the residents/buisness owners as people will just stop coming.
The accommodation is average and dated. There were no breakfast facilities kettle or toaster we were told to go next door to the cafe.
It's the middle of winter and there wasn't even a window in the door at the end of the hallway, the bar/lounge was freezing. Even though the fires were going they needed to be stoked and loaded more often.
A couple of good notes The meals were good quality, the beer was cold and the rest of the staff were fantastic.

The publication should not be in the business. He asks everyone to go to bed at 9:30 and treats everyone like children. As a 50 Year old I have never felt like this in 40 years. Please don’t stay in this dirty place that has the worst management I heave ever experienced. He will threaten to throw you out at the drop of a hat. He says no drinking??? Are we not staying at a pub ?? We are staying at a pub for God’s sake !! Don’t bother the beds also has fleas or something...

A group of 6 of us had a wonderful meal at the Courthouse Hotel last night. Most of us had something different and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the yummy food. The Specials Board was very impressive! Well done Courthouse Hotel and the new Management team.

Two cold, wet travellers rang at 7.30pm on a Tuesday night and the new owners of this hotel kindly offered to stay open until we arrived in half an hour to allow us to stay at their hotel.
They also kept the fryers on to make us a meal. It was about the best fresh and tasty pub meal we've had in a long time. My chicken parmigiana had real chicken breast in it and my partner's fish and chips was very much enjoyed by him. He's very fussy with food so this is a high recommendation.
The warm fire in the dining area was also much appreciated.
Our room was clean and had an oil heater which was fantastic at drying us and our wet clothes as we slept.
This is not a luxury hotel but Leanne and Jeff offer great service and cheerful smiles and for those on a budget, the price was very good for a room with an ensuite.
The hotel is located in the main street of the beautiful little township of Jamieson and is a good base for touring the eastern side of Lake Eildon.
