Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely shady caravan sites. Easy walk to the main street. Pet friendly with an enclosed dog play area. Clean facilities in the ladies but my husband found the men's weren't. Downside is the road noise from 5am with the large trucks driving through town. We weren't expecting that in such a lovely country town. Ok for an overnight stop.

This van park is a treasure. The owners are friendly and helpful. The facilities were immaculately kept. The complimentary sausage sizzle was an absolute bonus as were the lollies given out on Halloween. Only a short walk leads you to a welcoming town with lovely wineries. We highly recommended a stay.

We had a lovely few days at the park. We were checked in by Barbara, very welcoming and cheerful. Had a fun few hours around the indoor wood fire with our friends. Amenities are plentiful and clean. Heathcote is a nice wee town to explore. 18 of us had booked into The Commercial Hotel for lunch, good food and excellent service.

We arrived at the park and were met by the lovely friendly host. We explored the lovely township with some lovely shops and plently of places to eat which was a stone's throw from the park. We were pleased to be able to light our fire pit and enjoy a few wines before retiring to bed. We attend the Heathcote Drags with Top Fuelers and thoroughly enjoyed them. We would recommend it to others.

Camped on an unpowered site for three nights while on a motorcycle tour with a mate. The welcome from the staff was friendly and helpful. The site was grassed, shady and flat. The amenities block was modern and spotless. The camp kitchen and lounge area was spotless and very well maintained. Easy walk to the main town. Need no excuse to go back on either another camping ride with mates or caravan holiday with my wife.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay here. The common is a lovely area, especially for camping. It was such a windy weekend so the camp kitchen was definitely a plus for you guys. Looking forward to having you stay here with us a gain soon.

Heathcote Queen Meadow is a fantastic find for families with dogs. We are seasoned family campers from Melbourne and we stumbled upon this park when booking a post-lockdown family getaway. In short, the lovely owners, the central location and the cheap cabins will bring us back. AWESOME THINGS: friendliest hosts you'll ever find - the owners (Brian & Janette) put on a 'get-to-know-you' homemade pizza or sausage sizzle every Friday night (roughly 5pm) at the camp kitchen (BYO drink, have a slice of pizza while chatting to other campers); as well as a brilliant pancake breakfast every Sunday (complete with plenty of toppings). They are lovely, genuine people. The park is extremely dog friendly including a fenced dog park on the grounds & water bowls dotted everywhere. There are lots of toilet & shower facilities (although they are very basic old brick buildings). There are plenty of large shade trees. Cabins are very well priced and clean (see more detail below). The nightly kangaroos are awesome to see. There is a small kids playground (1 slide, 1 swing) and a large open grassed space for ball play. The internal paved paths are good for scooters/bikes. Good BBQ facilities. Free wifi is helpful. The Heathcote public pool, which is literally across the road from the main entrance of the park, is FREE for campers (get lanyard from park office). There are lifeguards on duty although no slide or splash park style facilities (just a main rectangle pool and seperate toddler pool). Great shade, lots of grassed areas and toilets. DOWNSIDES: The grounds are best suited to vans rather than tents as the sites are dusty/gravelly. There are 6 cabins and they're all VERY basic (ie. no bathroom in some cabins, all are extremely tiny (truely miniature); a small amount of kitchen crockery, no toiletries etc), but they're VERY clean and cheap. BYO almost everything except towels. Theres no jumping pillow or sports facilities like we're used to so the kids got a bit bored just hanging around. The camp kitchens (2) are very basic with nothing much except microwave and gas plates, but they're clean and have good tables and chairs. LOCATION: The park is off the main road which is good for noise reduction, and the main road is a close 3 minute walk. On the main road there is a large, fantastic, well-stocked modern IGA supermarket with a great selection of cheeses/meats/sushi. Very handy and easily walked. Gaffney's Bakery is truely not to be missed. It's on the main road (10 mins walk from park) and it has every delicious bakery item you could possibly imagine as well as seating for dine-in. I wish we had a Gaffneys in Melbourne! We ate dinner at Palling Brewery and I can't recommend this restaurant more highly. There is a fantastic selection of locally brewed beers in cans and on tap which are very well-priced, as well as an awesome menu for adults (with 3 options for kids). Ask about adult portion size as some menu items can be shared, eg. tacos. There is plenty of indoor as well as outdoor seating. Palling Brewery is also dog friendly outside. An added bonus is the owners are regularly working there which means everything runs smoothly and they are very approachable and friendly.

Thank you for your extremely well thought out review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay here and agree that during Summer the park is more suited to caravans unless you are happy with unpowered where you can put your tent on the grassy common. We have 3 cabins with bathrooms but the other 4 are opposite the amenities, i agree this doesn't suit everyone. There are many plans ahead for this park so keep your eyes open for what is to come next.

We had a fantastic stay. Being dog-friendly is such a huge benefit. We had a lovely cabin with a double bed, kitchen and sofa-bed. Toilet block directly opposite, walking distance to town and free pancakes for breakfast... can you get any better! Would certainly stay here again
