The spa bath was nice. They had plenty of wood for the fireplace and it is clean. However, This place is overpriced for what it provides. The pool is not clean or heated. It is not indoor, it has a roof over it and is outside. The bed is quite uncomfortable. On their website, it says that they provide “massage treatments and includes a spa centre and hot tub” this is all false. The property has no WiFi so keep that in mind. Bring DVDS if you use them 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ There’s a notice in the kitchen, where you get charged $40 for any dishes left in the sink.
Perfect set up for a quiet week away. Very cosy cottage with all the necessary extras. Hosts were very obliging with any requests. Plenty of firewood to keep everyone warm. About 6km from Healesville but an easy walk along mostly pathed ways if you want a good morning walk.
Such a cosy, beautiful cottage in quiet grounds behind Healesville Sanctuary. We stayed in Sunset Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean and well equipped, the only downside was the bed! We found it too soft and we met each other in the middle!! We had a beautiful sunset our first night and our neighbours were some goats who we loved being able to feed!! Thank you for a wonderful stay, we’ll be back!
We spent two nights here to celebrate Fathers Day, with our young son. We arrived late on the Friday, and the owners had the heater on so the cottage was warm when we arrived. Loved the fire place, the huge bath and the rustic but clean and very comfortable decor. Watching the sunset from the deck with a glass of local wine was a highlight, and having a full kitchen meant we didn't need to go out for dinner and could just relax and enjoy our time there. Generous breakfast provisions, with good coffee too. We were grateful for the late check out too. Highly recommended.
6 cottages on large acreage..... quiet, scenic location about 5 minutes outside Healesville. Very well fitted out and BBQ down by the lake. Great spot to explore the wineries and relax on the deck with a nice bottle of wine in the evening. Friendly, helpful staff... highly recommended!
My partner and I stayed in The Loft for three nights, and we absolutely loved it! The cottage was so charming and homely, and the surroundings so peaceful and relaxing. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway destination. We didn’t have the best weather for our stay, yet this turned out to be a blessing, as it meant we could take full advantage of the fireplace and spa in our cottage. The wine tour arranged through the hotel was also a standout. We will definitely be return guests to this fantastic gem!
Stayed in The Loft. Arrived after reception had closed, but the "welcome mat" was still out. Lights and the radio left on to welcome us!! Breakfast supplies - milk, cereal, bread, jams/honey, Beautiful, rustic accommodation, with all the comforts of home & then some. I loved the 4 poster bed - it was really comfy. Far enough out of town to be nice & quiet, yet close enough to pick up supplies such as a bottle of wine or two. Non-smoking cottage - excellent.Had its own laundry.
We booked "The Loft" for a single night. On arrival we were made to feel welcome by the manager who was eager to tell us about the area. On entering the cottage it was made clear that a degree of pride and attention to detail was taken to make the accommodation as homely as possible with heaters and soft music turned on to greet us. Immaculate facilities and beautiful grounds coupled with an easy going, family run atmosphere made Sanctuary Park Cottages a memorable nights escape.
We spent three nights in Sunset Cottage and we didn’t want to leave. The cottages are near the Healesville wildlife sanctuary and set on 20 acres. A big surprise was that the cottage fronts on to a paddock that is home to a herd of goats. Feed for the goats can be purchased at reception. The cottage has a well appointed kitchen, a spa, wood burning fire place and washer and dryer. The rooms are very large and we enjoyed drinking wine on the verandah while watching the sun go down. The family that owns the property is very friendly with small children. As a result the complex is set up for both adults and children. There is a playground and toys in the cottage. There is also a pleasant walk to the lake area where you can have a barbecue. The wild wombat wine tour also picks you up from the property. Is a wonderful and special place. …
A late booking and the hotels in town were all full, however, this proved to be a pleasant surprise. Ten minutes from Healesville, but you could be a million miles away. Beautiful setting and each cottage is privately situated and not over looked. A very friendly welcome and the cottage had all of the basics that you’d need and a great shower. We enjoyed watching the rabbits and birds playing on the lawn and were treated to a couple of Kangaroo sitings. Exciting if you are a Brit.. A very pleasant stay and would recommend.
