Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had the calamari and it was very nice. Salad interesting, a bit too much pepper (capsicum) for my liking. Fries (chips) were good and properly cooked. It was a group setting and there were several other groups in the large room as well. Service was good and professional.

Witnessed security target some customers of ethnic background, others demonstrating similar behavior were not required to leave or even approached. The most horrendous part was watching Security lie about it. This act does NOT align with their diversity statement which is: The Terminus Yarrawonga is a place free from discrimination, where everyone belongs. We respect and celebrate the diversity of our communities, including people of all cultural and faith backgrounds, classes, gender or sexual identities, ages and abilities and we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming space for all.

12 of us stayed here for 4 nights as part of a car club rally. Whilst at first I was impressed with the condtion of the room, I can tell you the gloss soon wore off. After being asked at reception to complete details of my credit card (they had already taken out my payment for the room) including CVC number when queried on the reason for this I was informed it was "in case you damage anything, or steal anything". I found this to be totally offensive. I would have accepted that it was company policy but not the former. On arrrival my room mate had a lovely hot shower and recommended I do the same,. However I decided to stick to my usual routine and shower in the morning. The shower started off lovely and hot but then became freezing cold and nothing I could do would make the hot water return. On talking to the other members of the group it turned out that all had had the same experience. When we complained to the management, a member of staff came to one of the rooms, stuck her hand under the shower and informed us that we now had hot water. The following morning we all had once again the same problem. They need to send one of their staff to have a shower in the room to see the problem not just turn on the tap and stick you hand under the water for a minute. . Needless to say we were none of us happy trying to have a hot shower. The other problem we encountered was the lack of service to the rooms. I can understand that there was no service over the weekend but for a four night stay I would have thought that the bins could have been emptied and the tea/coffee replenished. All in all a very disappointing stay and given that this was not a cheap stay one which will definitely not be repeated;

Great little pub and accommodation, clean, spacious and great location. Comfortable beds with a country feel. The Staff were amazingly friendly, so much so, that Leanne from the Bistro actually drove us to The Rochford Winery when were unable to get a cab. You can’t beat good old fashioned service. Thanks Terminus and thank you Leanne.

Had a Meal in the Bistro on Monday night. What a surprise as the hotel doesn’t look like much from the outside. The meals were excellent, a large menu to choose from and the staff were friendly and attentive. The bistro looks like it’s recently been renovated,. Would not hesitate to recommend the Bistro for meals.

It was recommended to us by waitress at a previous establishment to have lunch at terminus. We were greeted with a happy face and welcome to sit inside or outside. We found a lovely table under nice big trees outside. The menu had a variety of classic pub style dishes to choose from, our meals consisting of parmas, burgers, pizzas and calamari. The meals were a great size and all dishes were tasty. All in all, a good pub to enjoy a relaxed lunch.

Just a regional pub. Probably more for the locals as opposed to the tourist. Didn't find it too great. Service was okay but beer was limited. Really only came here for a drink at the bar, but as opposed to other places, didn't stand out.

We've had meals at every winery, hotel, cafe in the yarra valley, they all need to watch out for the new chef on the block. The pub meal at the terminus today was amazing, had the mixted grill an old fashioned favourite, perfectly cooked steak, yum sausage, bacon, mid loin lamb chops and fantastic double fried chips, wow amazing value! The bar has been given a makeover, lots of people, great happy vibe, will definitely be back....soon!!
