Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such a cosy place on a chilly winter's day, with the toasty fire. The setting amongst exquisite forest is atmospheric, food is delicious and you feel very welcomed by hospitable hosts Deanne and Toby. Truly a place to restore and reinvigorate. Highly recommended!

A beautiful Bn'B nestled in the lush surrounds of the central highlands. This venue is fit for couples and small or large groups. Beautifully decorated warm rooms, big roaring fireplaces in the main house and luxurious linens and products offered. Toby and Deanne are wonderful hosts. Fabulous value!

A delightful blend of tranquil gardens, warm generous hospitality and gorgeous old world charm. As soon as we walked in we felt welcome and completely at ease with hosts Deanne & Toby. We loved their warm smiles, genuine conversation and delicious breakfasts and will be back for plenty more. Our room was large and comfortable, beautifully appointed in the style of the home, but with all the mod cons. The large gardens had pockets of quiet spaces, secret gardens to lose yourself in, and broad expanses of lawn. Moet, the resident peacock, a couple of kookaburra's a few rosella's and a swarm of cockatoo's brought music to the gardens at all times of the day. The gorgeous period decor offered several different spaces to chill out, with a completely different view of the gardens. We cant wit for our next visit, and strongly recommend Strathvea to everyone!

We have just experienced the most amazing hospitality at Strathvea Guest House. All 15 of us had an absolutely fabulous time in this amazing house. We were all overwhelmed with its charm & loved exploring & getting lost in its many rooms. We searched & searched for the perfect venue for this weekend (Mum's 70th) that could accommodate so many of us & Strathvea was it!! We loved being able to cook up a feast on Friday & Saturday night & a huge cooked breakfast on both mornings. The kitchen is great! It had everything we needed. We all sat around the massive kitchen table and chatted & drank, ate and laughed while we all cooked up storm. Then moved in to the huge dinning room where we ate, drank & laughed some more. The entire house was so comfortable! We loved enjoying many red wines in front of the many open fire places. Strathvea is seriously a Gem in the Healesville Hills. Toby & Deanne were the perfect hosts, far enough away so we felt like we were left to our own devices but less than a minute away when we needed them. I hope we can think of another reason to go & stay again sometime.

A large group of us were attending a friends wedding in Yarra Valley and struggled to find accommodation that could cater for a large (19 people) group. What a wonderful surprise to find Starthvea! First we were just relieved to have found something that could accommodate all of us, but Strathvea was sooooo so much more than that! Set in beautiful surrounds, fabulous hosts Deanne & Toby, wonderful breakfast and the most comfortable of accommodation. The B&B is located a drive out of Healesville but perfect hideaway and Toby also provided minibus service to the wedding venue. Thanks for a great stay! I know many of us will be back to enjoy Strathvea again ;c) Theresa, Melbourne AUS
