We enjoyed a lovely two night stay at Treetops apartment in December. The apartment had everything we needed and more. It was well laid out with a great kitchen, dining area, a very comfy bed, and a seated TV area which led out onto the balcony (which had ample space and outdoor seating). The added benefits were having a washing machine and dryer in the apartment. And our host (Gaylene) left some breakfast provisions including local sourdough bread, locally made jam, butter, milk, tea, coffee and juice. The jam was so nice I took the remainder of the pot with me when we left!

The views from our balcony were stunning and the apartment is minutes away from the Main Street in healesville, so it’s very close to lots of cellar doors, distilleries and restaurant. And only a 5 minute drive from Healesville sanctuary, and maybe 10 mins drive to the wineries. And Gaylene had left an information pack in the apartment with recommendations for local restaurants and things to do p, which was very helpful.

Some previous reviews have mentioned that the parking space is a bit tight, we did not find this. Parking is in a private driveway but there is certainly enough room for a large car. And with regards to previous comments about noise, it’s an older building and the floor boards do creak a little, and you can occasionally hear your neighbours, but the noise is not excessive, and it certainly a lot less noisy then some hotels we have stayed in.

I would highly recommend a stay at Healesville apartment, we consider ourselves really lucky to have been able to visit Healesville during our trip to Australia and to stay in Gaylene beautiful accommodation.

We stayed in the Treetops Apartment with our business associates in the Terrace & Garden Apartments and were pleasantly surprised at the spacious & refurbished rooms. They are a little quirky and extremely functional, representing excellent value for money. Perfect location to relax and enjoy sitting in the winter sunshine on the decks.

This was only a one night stop for us but the apartment would also be suitable for a longer stay. It was quiet, clean and comfortable with off street parking. The chocolates and breakfast supplies were very good and helpful.
There were a few eating options within walking distance, we opted for the pub, and the wildlife sanctuary was less than 10 minutes away by car.

Information for future travellers. I booked the Figtree apartment as the description stated 2 bathrooms; thinking one for us and one for our friends. When we arrived, we found a spa room with a sink, a shower room and sink combined with the laundry and one separate toilet. The description was deceptive as we expected two bathrooms which included two toilets. The rest of the apartment was very spacious but too expensive for what it was. The owner didn’t like us complaining so we didn’t stay. Our payment was refunded.

We stayed several nights in the Treetops apartment. It was quirky and Japanese themed but large with a view. We were not crazy about the bathroom which required you to go down a few steps but it was clean. We eventually found the heater which made it better. There was also a heater in the main room that we discovered on the second day.

Check in was a little complicated because I had missed the email that day with the entry instructions but one of the other guests helped us contact the owner.

The location is perfect with a short walk to the towns restaurants. The weather was bad while we were there which limited our exploring outside of town but we had some nice meals.

There was an excellent breakfast selection and it seemed like a good pick for the area.

This is a converted guest house and perfectly located one street away in a quiet location from the Main Street of Healesville. We stayed in the garden suite which had a small backyard for our dog and a lovely small front deck. The driveway is quite steep but that allows for some nice views. Breakfast was included as well. Our apartment had a claw foot bath with shower above. It was quite difficult to get in and out of and something to be aware of. Private off street parking was available and the host was incredibly helpful even allowing us to check in earlier. Lovely place for a stay.

We stayed at Figtree apartment for a couples weekend getaway and couldn’t have asked for a better location, price or apartment. The location is great and a very short 5 min walk to the Main Street. The apartment itself was comfortable and cosy (with a lovely fireplace) and a balcony where you could sip your morning coffee with the tasty breakfast condiments and delicious bread. There are also 2 separate bathrooms which was great for two couples (although there was one separate toilet). The beds were comfortable and Gaylene was awesome to deal with, we thought we’d left something at the apartment and she was very quick to check and get back to us. Highly recommend, we can’t wait to come back!

We have stayed twice now & look forward to coming back. On the first occasion, we were in the Tree-Tops room which was amazing!! Our recent stay was the Fig Tree Apartment. This apartment would ideally suit families or weekender with friends. Loved the spa in both rooms & ammeneties. Rooms are clean & decor most comfortable.
You get value for your dollar and you feel at home!
Convenient location as you can walk into town if you require any supplies (although the little touches such as a loaf of bread, OJ, milk, tea & coffee as well as jam are an added surprise on arrival!).
There is a folder with Jacqui & Tony's number if you require any assistance. It also gives a list of local restaurants & tourist attractions.
We happily recommend Healesville Apartments to anyone - suits families, couples & friends!

When we arrived I was delighted as the owners have this little apartment very nicely turned out - from the pottery key rings to the lovely green Ikea kitchenware, magazines etc
The provisions they left were first rate - the most delicious bread from the local bakery, butter, scrummy blackberry jam, a big carton of juice etc
Nice touch to have dressing gowns, and really appreciated washing machine - although tumble drier was not vented so we had to keep windows open.
The apartments are not brick built - as may be the norm in Aus. We could hear people above us walking around.
When we were there Aus was quite cold and I felt that the apartment was a little cold and damp. The heating wouldn't stay on for more than 10 mins at a time so we never really warmed up. Also we couldn't access the wifi - but that turned out to be par for the course in the Melbourne and surrounding area as we later found out.

Response from JackySpringall, Owner at Healesville Apartments

Thank you for your review about our accommodation at Healesville Apartments. I'm very pleased you enjoyed the attention to detail in the Terrace Apartment and the continental breakfast hamper featuring the delicious local bread we get from Giant Steps. It's a shame the weather wasn't nicer for your visit and we are very sorry to hear you were a bit cold. The Terrace Apartment does have a reverse cycle air-conditioner in the living area, a very efficcient gas heater, a heater in the bathroom and electric blankets so it can normally be made very cosy. I wonder if the gas heater was set for a lower room temperature than you liked? This would mean it would turn itself off when the room reached that temperature. It can easily be adjusted manually to a higher temperature. What a pity you didnt let us know as we could have changed that for you. Similarly if the wi-fi isnt working it normally just meants the router needs turning off and on. I hope you can come and stay again sometime and we can make sure everything is perfect. Jacky.
