Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Although the front looks a bit tired and run down, the rooms are clean and comfortable.

The owner Cherry is very nice and welcoming.

The rooms are large and have a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities, however there was milk..which was disappointing.

The bathroom is clean and the showe nice and hot. The towels and face washers were different colours, white, brown and pink..which was kind of quirky.

The room has some asian art on the walls which is different.

The view is amazing, but because the balcony is shared people can walk past so you dont feel like you have privacy.

Unfortunately the day we went it was really cold and raining and our heater stopped working, so we were freezing. The heaters/air con units could do with replacing as they are very old.

Overall a good stay, the beds were comfortable and the room spacious and clean.

A good option for those on a budget to stay in such a beautiful part of Victoria.

We stayed for a few nights. The rooms were clean and had everything that we needed. Cherry was a wonderful hostess and turned the heater and electric blankets on for our arrival. Would definitely stay again (:
P.S. the homemade apple cake was a 10/10 (: (:

Ignore the tatty exterior and peeling paint, this motel is excellent value for money. Spotlessly clean with a good shower and very comfortable bed, we had a great stay here. But the real attraction is the view from the balcony looking over the surrounding hills. Such was the tranquility that we elected to bring food in to eat so that we could enjoy it.

This motel is an absolute gem!
The rooms are clean and comfortable, the showers hot the bed comfortable with clean linens.
The hostess Cherry is very helpful, polite and friendly she goes out of her way in making sure your stay is safe and relaxing and lastly all for a good rate!
For those staying in the first three or four rooms the views over the mountains are amazing. It’s quiet, serene and perfect to escape Melbourne.
I highly recommend staying a week or overnight when hiking or exploring the quaint town of Healesville.

Our car broke down 200 meters away from this motel, on a public holiday, we called and the host was AMAZING. She was so kind and wanted to help in anyway she could. Even waived the check out time to make sure we could get our car issues sorted before leaving. Absolutely amazing and so greatful. Even let us have our dog outside/in the car and offered him blankets to sleep with. 10/10.
Rooms were clean, tidy, bathroom is just what you need. No complaints from us.

Cherry was amazing! She was very friendly and happy to accommodate our needs.
Tucked away in the peace and quiet, this motel is a great stop for a relaxing night away. I would definitely recommend staying if you get the chance!

We stayed at this Motel before and we were upgraded . On this visit for two nights I booked and paid for the type of room we had had previously. To our horror we were given a basic room -No 3 -( but had paid for the De Luxe ) . We had no- where to hang our clothes, no wardrobe. The only place we could put our suitcases was on the floor ,so had to step over them to get around the room. The room was supposed to have a microwave ,it did not so I had to ask for it .The Receptionist informed me I had only paid for the basic room , I had not and had the paper work to prove it.. I would have left but had pre-paid so for other people make sure you get what you have booked and paid for .We will not stay there again.

We booked a room in this motel via Agoda and paid in full only to get rejected in the face when we attempted to check in. The lady at the reception was visibly annoyed and insisted we cancel the Agoda booking, and book and pay at the counter. Minutes later she claimed that the rooms were booked and told us to go away. The motel management also explained that they have had poor working relationship with Agoda but I don't understand why they had to be so hostile towards us for not knowing about that in the first place. I'm not sure if this motel inspires confidence that it'll be comfortable stay anymore, with such service, so stay at your own risk.

When we pulled up after booking online I must admit I panicked.
Outside it is very rundown- very!!
When checking in reception a child passed me a key and that was it.
Room was cleanish but there was no top sheet or blanket, only duvet which I have never come across. Pillows and beds were hard and uncomfortable.New balcony has been built but not private as stated. Views are spectacular though.
Pool was unavailable which annoyed the kids especially since it is January. Water gurgled in shower when using the basin and vice-versa. After reading previous posts I think they are slowly improving the place but lots more required.

Well what can we say about this place!! Not much.
Booked through an online app and the "Apartment" what apartment the pictures certainly did not match, I will give you a list of what it did not have fully functioning power sockets, NO top sheet or extra blankets, broken handles in the bathroom and the toilet roll sat on top of the toilet brush cleaner, private balcony "what private balcony" it was a verandah that ran the length of five rooms "NO PRIVACY AT ALL" I would feel guilty booking my dog in here for the night! For no added cost you had possum's in the ceiling, well we hope they were possums having a football game and the entry exit ways were a nightmare plus the exit was blocked for sometime by a septic truck removal. Rather than making a reservation we felt like we had been sentenced to a 2 night stay in the local penitentiary particularly with the institutional green decor. Needless to say I did not bend down to pick up the soap.
