Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Service was ordinary, wasn't busy for a Sunday at lunchtime. I ordered the Barramundi, came out raw. They gave me a refund without question when I showed them. Husband ordered Caprese Salad, it was over $25 and listed as a main. It was just tomatoes with a tiny bit of cheese, and some sloppy dressing that did not resemble balsamic. It was a side dish at best. Wouldn't go back.

Healsville hotel is a great little country hotel situated in the middle of town, great location class and accessible to the lovely yarra region. I enjoyed the service and would happily recommend staying here and would stay again. Clean lovely rooms and great facilities, awesome service from the staff.

Very Faulty Towersesq. Bar staff couldn’t provide table water as no water bottles available but didn’t offer to fill our glasses from tap. Couldn’t have milk with cup of tea as they ‘don’t do milk’ - we walked across the road and bought some - they could have done that. Staff were pseudo-pretentious - food was nice but basically just burgers etc. it was a real giggle watching them in action!!

My partner and I stayed the night at the grand hotel. After going out and enjoying our night, we came back to a room that STANK of cigarettes, the guests we were told would be off the balcony by 10pm we’re still there at 11pm, the sink in the room didn’t work and the bathroom facilities were less than basic. Do not stay here, it is absolutely awful.

I stayed here for one night and it really was delightful. The room was very pleasant with a large king bed, good tea and most impressive ground coffee with a coffee plunger. The bathrooms are shared but beautifully done with plenty of hand towels and floor mats. The only down side was very noisy pipes. Not good if your bedroom was located close to the bathroom. The very best thing about staying here as a single was the lovely restaurant downstairs. Really lovely food, great choice of wines and cheery and extremely helpful staff. If you keep in mind this is a pub ( although very upmarket) and set your expectations with this in mind you will not be disappointed.

I pre-booked this hotel imagining it was just a pub with accommodation but was keen to have food available since that simplified things. Upon arrival, at dusk, cold and wet from riding the motorbike through fog and rain all day I was alarmed to find the place all shut up with 'Closed Mondays' signs on the door! I enquired next door and discovered accommodation was fine, just the bar and restaurant were closed Mondays. This was disappointing at first but then I discovered how many wonderful bars and eateries were available within 5 min pleasant walk. The room was very modern and comfortable with shared facilities a door away. The shared facilities were the best I have experienced in a pub or motel. Huge, immaculately clean, a double shower (I was travelling alone unfortunately) extra towels, quality soaps etc. I will return here in future, but not on a Monday. ps the restaurant looks excellent.

We were on a sisters weekend in Healesville decided to treat ourselves to a night out at what we thought was a nice pub how wrong we were. We ordered the chicken which we could have bought from coles and would have been much nicer others ordered lamb shank and pork chops food was horrible no taste wine was good but for the price do yourselves a favour and go to the local pub would never go to or recommend this place again

Went to this hotel with high expectations.Wrong,on entering the hotel we were told that they only had tables for 2 in the dining room, were directed to the bar with dining tables.menus delivered quickly, had a drink .waited for the staff to take our order & then we waited a long time for our food to come & only after I asked how long it would be amazingly it came not not long after,A hamburger.A fish pie.A lambshank & a risotto . the hamburger was overcooked ,The pies pastry was near burnt, the lamb shank meat didn,t, want to come off the bone ,the risotto average I wanted to complain but my wife wouldn,t let me .All in all didn,t live up to to to the Television review an expensive lunch with little satisfaction.Won,t be back& not on my favourite restaurants list.

A 1 night stay for a nearby wedding. Country pub, but not country pub prices. Rooms spacious, h and gh ceilings, comfy beds, but we missed the bit aboutshared bathrooms. We were in room 1, furthest away from the shared facilities, corridor creeping in the middle of the night not ideal! Bathrooms are large, well fitted out, plenty of towels, etc and heater. Pleasant staff, casual check in check out in the dining room. All good, except older folks take note re bathroom situation.

I adored this acccomadation. I was working near by and found the amenities a home away from home in the beautiful village of Healesville. Great beds, comfy sofa and walking distance to everything . The food at the hotel is A1
