This could be a wonderful place to stay. The cabins are great and set in the Grampian National Park area. They are nicely spaced so as not to get any noise from neighbours. However, ours could do with some care to detail. The bedding was very basic and a bit like army surplus. The furniture was very utility. Also the...

It was even better than our high expectations: an absolute recommendation for people who like authentic Australian Places, nature with wildlife, friendly staff and good value for money. The cottages were very nice and clean, not too modern but certainly in the range of expectations if you look to a very affordable price. The best for us was the wildlife:...

We stayed at D'Altons for a couple of nights over Australia Day. A perfect place to get away from the city. We had a couples room, well equipped with kitchen, lovely bathroom, comfortable bed and sitting areas inside and outside the cabin. The air conditioning worked well, the TV reception was generally good (brief loss of signal several times), and...

We have stayed a number of times over the years in the chalets for couples. These are quiet with lovely views of the Grampians and the amazing wildlife. The facilities are a little limited but the wonderful position of the resort makes up for this and more. We will be staying again when next in Australia

Great setting at reasonable price. Unfortunately gas bottles empty, so no bbq. Most huts seemed to have run out so neighbors could not help or bbq either... and staff not around to assist. Seems to be run like a hobby not a business. That being said the magnificent setting makes up for it.

D'altons Resort is the real Australian experience. After a friendly chat with owners, Anne and David we went to see our cottage. Kangaroes were sitting in the backyard, for us as a Dutch family with young kids a very special moment. The parc includes a tenniscourt were you can play for free. And a nice swimming pool to cool down...

We've stayed here before and it was as good as always- great location, comfy accomodation. It is quiet (couples-only) and just out of town but an easy walk into Halls Gap. Cooking facilities are fine, and a good working BBQ

We had a very nice long weekend with our small children here. They loved the wildlife and being able to explore the extensive grounds. We loved the spectacular setting and enjoying the view from the balcony. The cabins are fairly basic but had everything we needed plus a wood burning stove, at a decent price. The town centre is close...

Having stayed in two different Comfort inns before arriving here, I was unimpressed with the cabins. There's no wifi so I had to walk into the town to visit a cafe to go on-line. The setting is idyllic, kangaroos graze the well kept gardens and lots of bird life. Pleasant enough but a bit spartan.

We had a wonderful stay in this most beautiful of locations. Wildlife everywhere warm and cosy lodgings. The kids had a lovely time walking amongst the kangaroos and bird life. Cabins were nice with all the amenities you need and plenty of fire wood to keep warm. Great location to explore numerous walks and lookouts or just pottering around Halls...
