I stayed at this hostel for 2 nights. Facilities are clean and well kept and the staff are very helpful. The location is picturesque and peaceful. I saw several kangaroos and an emu at the back of the hostel and there are chickens in the garden. I would highly recommend this place as a base whilst touring The Grampians.

I stayed here one night while on a small group tour. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was. It was hands-down the cleanest Youth Hostel I have ever stayed in. The beds were comfortable and the atmosphere very welcoming. Loved the chickens hanging out in the front yard, and the kangaroos across the road gave it a very...

I love this hostel. There're many chickens and a cute and friendly bunny in backyard. I'd been there for 2 nights traveling around Grampian which wasn't enough. The kitchen was nice and facilities were great and clean. The supermarket and shops weren't far. There're a lot of kangkaroos come out in early evening and emus aswell. I'd like to feed chickens...

Stayed there 1 night with a group. The hostel is very comfy and cosy. There is free wifi in the common area! There is a kitchen to cook and some books to read. The rooms are quite simple but clean. Too bad we couldn't open the window properly as we were just a little bit too warm. The bathrooms and...

This hostel and those that run it embrace the YHA ethos. It is clean and accommodating. I loved my morning's egg which came courtesy of one of the many resident hens. Thank you Stu (?spelling) for letting me hold your snakes (I kid you not!!). It was the evening's highlight and your knowledge and patience made it the highlight of...

No family rooms to cater for family of 5 so (female) kids and I shared a dorm and hubby was over the hall in another dorm. Room standard, bed comfy and warm. Shared bathroom clean and perfectly functional. Living areas outstanding! Huge kitchen and dining area, loved that there were 2 lounges - one quiet and one noisy with pool...

The township of Halls Gap is small and quite walkable, and the YHA is pretty easy to find. It's one of the first buildings you see after turning into the main street, however if you catch the local bus from Stawell the bus driver should be able to drop you at the front door if you ask. Overall the YHA...

Arrived the hostel in the evening. Booked 2 family rooms for 5adults n 2children with shared bathroom. No ensuite bathroom available as stated on the internet. Stayed here 14 yrs ago. Today, facilities well maintain, but a little bit renovation is highly recommended. Room is spacious but heater not hot enough for our comfort sleep. Hosts are friendly and we...

This has to be the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in! There are 3 common areas spaced out around the property, two kitchen areas and the rooms are spacious and neat. I really enjoyed my stay here, although it is winter in the Grampians and there aren't too many things to do in the rain, none the less it was...
