I stayed on a Saturday night in the French Riveira Bell Tent. The park is beautiful and only 4 km from Halls Gap. I am not really a camping person, but glamping was on my bucket list.
My bell tent was beautifully located in the far corner of the park overlooking the mountains and bush. It was well appointed with a fan, heater, microwave, fridge and kettle. The seating was comfortable, the bed wasn't that comfortable but I soon got used of it. The outdoor deck had a BBQ and table. The entrance is very close to the gully, so you need to be careful when entering the site. The shared toilets and showers were modern and clean. There is a pool, WiFi lounge, TV lounge and kitchen. I think the bell tents should have a toilet and shower (to share between the 4 tents) as it is a bit of a pain going so far to have a shower or use the toilet.
All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my glamping experience and happily recommend Lakeside Tourist Park.

Wowsers…. What a place! We absolutely loved our stay here. We stayed in a Modern 2 bedroom cabin which was HUGE, very well equipped with oven, full size fridge, microwave, dish washer etc. the Weber on the deck was a great way to cook the BBQ. The wildlife included kangaroos, emus, cockatoos and kookaburras.
Although we didn’t use the camp kitchen or pool- both looked fantastic.
The kids enjoyed the trampoline park and playground, as well as just running around and playing hide and seek.
The service was second to none- from the welcome email to text messages advising of things happening (eg. Park scavenger hunt). The coffee window in the morning was a bonus.
All the accom looked great and we can’t stop raving about this caravan park to our friends. Already planning our next trip back!

Safari Tent is beautiful with a bath tub outside the tent and BBQ stove. The view from the tent is stunning! Cockatoos and kangaroos all over the field. We arranged for campfire and wood to be placed outside so we can set it up at night. Paid extra for the duvet to be made for the extra single beds (which i wonder why it wasn't included in the price) The room with the single beds was chilly as the aircon (inverter) was placed at the living area. Only the king bed have electric blanket provided. Water pressure and temperature is good in the tent. Kitchenette is well equipped there is induction plate and fridge.
Pod is basic with electric blanket during winter. There is no toilet so need to use common facilities. It is quiet with a view of the valley.
There are free board games from the reception area and the staff are very helpful. Common area is big and you can do your laundry there.
Overall nice tourist park and we enjoyed our stay there!

This park deserves 10 out of 5 stars! The site is beautifully nestled between lake bellfield, boronia peak ridge and an adorable nature reserve teeming with roos, emus and birdlife (even saw deer) , expect a visit from a cockatoo or two, or a bouncing kangaroo passing by! Yet so close to the main strip of Halls Gap about 4 k away. The site is so well thought out with immaculate eco friendly communal facilities, a heated pool, and you can cheaply hire a fire drum to have at your own site, byo wood or purchase at reception- this is such a unique delight at a caravan park!! A big thanks to Adele and Michael (with the Belgian accent) for your exemplary customer service!!! We originally came for an unpowered site as campers but since that area was under maintenance we were given a powered site for no extra cost. A couple of days later we decided to hire a budget cabin to sort out our hiking gear but when word slipped out that it was my partner’s birthday, our cabin was upgraded as a birthday present! Due to personal reasons we cancelled our trail trek and decided to stay on but juggling the accomodation dates was tricky, and so our cabin got upgraded again! I have spent 30 years in high retail and know what a customer obsessed approach means. The staff are so friendly, professional and absolutely fantastic. Besides a tent high in the ranges, we will not be staying anywhere else! Thanks Halls Gap Lakeside Tourist Park!

No wifi in the cabins. Horrific this happens in 2024. The rest was all fairly good, beds and cabins comfortable. Plenty of things to enjoy for kids. But unless you were staff you couldn’t access the wifi from the rooms which is really really poor

The pool/wifi hub area has a great vibe! We throughly enjoyed our stay at Lakeside Tourist Park. We were a group of x3 families, we booked the House and it was perfect as it sleeps up to 14 people. You'll see Birds, kangaroos, deer.... we'll be back!

We loved our stay in one of the 3 bedroom cabins. It was perfect for two families - 4 adults and 3 young children. The park is only a few minutes from Halls Gap by car, with a lovely scenic bike and walking track and many walks and attractions very close nearby, including Lake Bellfield. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with native plants, all the facilities very modern and clean, and the service was excellent. The kids loved the wood fired heated pool, the playground and trampolines, and being able to spot cockatoos, rosellas, kookaburras, kangaroo, emus, and deer each day in the park grounds. Our cabin was very well equipped, with a main bathroom and an ensuite (although worth noting no bath, so bring a plastic tub for young kids). I grew up visiting Halls Gap each year and look forward to returning to this great park many more times with my family.

We stayed at Lakeside Caravan Park for a week during school holidays. It was fully booked yet it was still really relaxing stay. Caravan park has something for everyone, we loved all the facilities, communal hub looked amazing, kids enjoyed the scavenger hunts, new showers and toilets were immaculate and due to the great management place was beautifully quiet at night. Fire drum hire is so reasonably priced ($10 for the duration on the stay), we had fire every night.... There are laundry facilities, heated swimming pool, real coffee onsite. Highly recommended

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in our caravan. A lot of work has gone into keeping up the maintenance of this park it is lovely. The amenities were cleaned three times a day and always spotless. The pools were lovely and a lovely way to relax after a day of hiking. A lot of effort has gone into keeping dust to a minimum, they have laid gravel on all the roads and it seems to work very well. We stayed at the bottom of the park near the creek and were on a flat site but the further up to the front of the park the sites were more on a slope so that is something to keep in mind. Loved seeing all the wildlife, emus and kangaroos everywhere and of course the pesky cockatoos. All in all we had a brilliant time and will certainly be back.

We booked a 3 night stay for a powered site and it has been amazing. We are surrounded by wildlife (kangaroos, birds, emus & tawny frogmouths), and you can see the beautiful mountains from the camp site. The staff are very friendly and there is hot coffee available to buy every morning 8-11am. It is close to the town centre and to most attractions/sights. You can also pay a low price to have a fire drum and fire wood ready to go when you get there as well. I highly recommend staying here if you want to experience the Grampians as a nature/wildlife lover.

Hi
We usually book out over weekends like the Queens Birthday, as you mentioned it is colder but if you come prepared you should be find. Get your winter woolies packed and some extra blankets and you will love winter camping! A campfire also seems a lot more usable during winter :)
Kind Regards
Michael
