Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We've stayed at this park many times before, but this is the first since it became a Breeze Holiday Park. The staff were friendly and helpful and the grounds are great. Kangaroos and emus, lots of birds, playground, pool and wide spaces for the kids to play in. The newly renovated bathrooms were a real treat. But, at $75 per night for an off-peak, uneven powered site, it is now much too expensive.

This holiday park is in a beautiful location with the craggy mountains of The Grampians overlooking our cabin and kangaroos munching grass outside. Although the cabin was a bit the worse for wear, it had everything we needed. Our biggest concern was that we were not able to charge our electric car from either our cabin or a vacant caravan site as we have been able to do at every other holiday park we have visited. We were told that it would overload the electrical circuit in our villa which shows a complete lack of knowledge of EVs which would use only 10amps when charging overnight when very few appliances are being used. We have not recommended this holiday park on EV Facebook forums.

Thank you for reviewing your stay, however, I believe you may have stayed at our Halls Gap park in the centre of town. We do have a plug that can be used to charge EVs at the Grampians park, however, this is not connected to any of our cabins or powerheads, it is on one of our service buildings. The reason we do not allow charging in guest areas is because the initial draw is too high for these circuits, not the 10amps charging power, which kicks in after activation. The holiday park has cabins of different sizes and also sites for campervans. The place was not fully occupied when we checked in, I think there’s only a few occupiers. We got the deluxe cabin and it was big enough for two of us and we liked that we can park outside the cabin. Teh cabin was quite clean and the bed is pretty comfortable. The toilet was very small and the shower is pretty bad. Water would get everywhere when we showered and the temperature is not constant. The heater was non-existent and it was winter and showering was torturous. We were so cold throughout our stay. There’s also some fun rides to rent for about $10 for half an hour. We had some fun with that. Other than that, I would say we liked the stay.

Thank you for your review, it's great to hear you enjoyed your stay so much. We are on the edge of the Wimmera-Mallee desert so we do tend to have cold nights but warmer days and we do have extra blankets available for times like this. Glad to hear you enjoyed yourselves and had some fun rides on the pedal karts. Hope to see you again. The Team @ Breeze Holiday Parks - Grampians

Our Powered Site was very spacious and the park had everything we needed. The amenities were clean and tidy, the BBQ was perfect for cooking our dinner and the fire pits were perfect in winter! We also found no issues with the mobile reception, it worked perfectly for us.

Thank you for reviewing your stay, it's great to hear you enjoyed it so much, and had everything you needed on our spacious powered sites. We are happy to say that the new Telstra tower has finally been switched on so phone reception is now much improved for Telstra customers across our whole side of Halls Gap, especially the caravan park. Hope to see you again! The Team @ Breeze Holiday Parks - Grampians

Underwhelmed on first glance, instantly regretted booking. $170 on a weekday for what I would rate a below 1 star accomodation. Poorly maintained, poor facilities, Lack of atmosphere. At best a $100 a night cabin. After contemplating for an hour if we should stay after walking the main street where everything was closed we decided we would rather drive an additional two hours to go home. We approached staff to see if we could receive a partial refund as it was not what we had expected for $170 a night and weren’t happy with the quality of the facilities and they refused stating they didn’t refund on a change of mind. We had only used the toilet and not unpacked our car. Would never recommend. Complete disappointment. Would rate -10 out of ten.

Thank you for taking the time to review your visit, we're sorry you were disappointed. We take pride in our park and in its maintenance and are always happy to rectify any issues when brought to our attention. We are now entering the low season and so Halls Gap is a lot quieter than it was over summer. Unfortunately, we have no control over the hours that the many other businesses in town choose to operate, but the Grampians National Park is always open for visitors to enjoy. I also understand that your expectations were not met, but our cancellation policy is available to all prospective bookers. The Team @ Breeze Holiday Parks - Grampians

Weeks holiday during 2nd week of Easter break. Mum dad and 9yr old first time holiday in a caravan park. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin. The cabin was small and tight but all we needed. The outdoor fire pit was exactly what we needed and we dragged the table off the balcony to the fire each night for dinner and night time relax. The cabin was clean, had the basics and the water was hot. Kangaroos, emu, deer and heaps of bird life happily roam the grounds. Town centre is just under 3km away and an easy bike ride. Heaps for the kids to do, great spot to camp up and enjoy all that the Grampians has to offer. We will happily return.

Great park, in a great location with great views and lots of wildlife. Very clean and well maintained. We did note the entry gate into park looks a little sketchy for larger vans and no sullage points, but as above loved the park and will be back! We missed out but the coffee van in the morning looks very popular!

Thanks for reviewing our park, it's great to hear you enjoyed your stay so much! The entry gate is on a bend but we can accommodate very large vans and rigs because we can always let them in through the exit gate, which gives them a straight run into the park. The coffee van is also soon to become a coffee shop, which we are very excited about. We'll look forward to seeing you again! The Team @ Breeze Holiday Parks - Grampians

Place was simple but there was a sneaky one-time pet surcharge of $45 that wasn't made clear during booking. We only received an SMS to complete payment for the surcharge 2 days before our trip....so we ended paying $200 for a one night stay in a one room cabin. Grossly overpriced.

This information is available on our website when booking or from Reception staff. The front desk staff were fantastic. Friendly, accommodating and helpful. Pool area looked nice. Sites are adequate in size. Grassed open field areas are pretty. Fire pits are a welcome touch...but take your own wood as buying it is costly. BUT... The amenities were dirty, grimy, putrid and disgusting! Rubbish all over the paths in doorways and around all buildings. The garden beds were mostly dead or weeds. Dated is fine but dirty is not! Someone decided that the middle of school holidays AND a long weekend was the right time ti work on toilet blocks. A leak or spillage made the floors slipperly and filthy with mud and grass. I refused to use the shower at all and begrudgingly used the toilet. The camp kitchen needed a good clean too. Greasy grimy cobwebs hung from the rafters and fittings. The cabins were ok with clean linen and nice shower. The views were breathtaking!

Thank you for reviewing your stay, we're sorry to hear that you were disappointed with our amenities. We completely agree with clean over dated and do our best to keep this area as clean and tidy as possible. I would note that the weather has been particularly wet recently, which definitely makes this task more difficult. I also apologise that the long-awaited renovations to the amenities impacted your holiday, but it was not a long weekend or a school holiday week in Victoria. I do hope that you reported any issues to staff to be rectified immediately. It is good to hear that our staff, pool, cabins and firepits were appreciated, though. We hope that you'll come back and see the improvements to the amenities when they are finished at the end of the year. The Team @ Breeze Holiday Parks - Grampians

Wonderful staff and lively spot. We stayed in a deluxe cabin which was spacious and clean. Reception staff very helpful. Grounds well maintained . It is 2.5 kms out of town , which makes it quiet but a bit too far to walk. Emus and Kangaroos in the paddock next door.
