I already knew that the motel was immaculate from a previous stay, but I was blown away by Pip's thoughtfulness when I arrived in pouring rain in the dark after a difficult Covid affected trip to find the heating on in my room. The light was on, the mattress was new, and within a very short time I was warm and snug and very grateful. It was still raining when I left the following morning, much refreshed, but I had time to check out the new deck overlooking the lagoon and will look forward to sitting there next time I stay. Especially as I know how warm the welcome will be. Thank you, Pip and Gary!

Very happy with our 2 night stay, only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars was there was no room service done (we did ask for the room to be cleaned but when we arrived back in the evening nothing was done). The view at the back is a fenced off farm where you can see kangaroos hopping around. Location is very convenient and close to town, less then 10 min walk. Well priced and rooms included all your standard amenities.

Booked here at short notice and were warmly welcomed on arrival by Pip. We had driven from Charlton via Sheep Hills and Rupanyup Silos, the Murtoa Stick house and MacKenzie Falls. Great sight seeing. Gary was just setting up the fire pit and we really enjoyed sitting beside it watching dusk fall and the abundant kangaroos. We had booked dinner at Spirit of Punjab , 4 doors down and one of the eating highlights of our trip. Great, clean, comfortable and affordable accommodation in the magical heart of the Grampian's National Park

If you are going to Halls Gap, please consider staying here! Walking through the door and you can smell how clean and fresh everything is. The room was lovely, we had a twin room with a double bed and single. Bathroom was spotless and it was well appointed. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and they lit an outdoor fire each afternoon, you could easily sit there each evening and watch the wildlife and enjoy the warmth. It’s an easy walk to local pubs, restaurants and cafes, this place is a no brainer, you won’t regret it.

This motel has been very recently beautifully refurbished. The hosts as lovely. Pip and Gary were very informative about things to do and see as well as places to eat. The outside environment is lovely. You can enjoy a roaring fire in the big fire pit overlooking wetlands and a fabulous view towards the mountainous terrain beyond. Very close to Halls Gap town (5 min walk). If you would like to stay in lovely modern accommodation Hall’s Gap Motel is a great place (with the wonderful old school memories of holidays past thrown in). Cannot recommend it highly enough.
