We love staying here, it is a beautiful spot and a perfect base for a Grampians adventure. The cottages are incredible, beautiful craftsmanship and very homely. The grounds are lovely with plenty of birds, emus and kangaroos about. the kids can explore freely while we enjoy the view. We always stay in the stone cottage and love that we can...

My wife and I only stayed one night on our way back to Melbourne from the Great Ocean Road, but it ended up being the highlight of our trip to Australia! Clean cottage, friendly owners and beautiful views. Wish we could have spent at least a week here.

Thank you for your lovely review, so glad you enjoyed your stay. This is definitely the first place I've lived where cleaning the windows is a pleasure, as I never tire of looking out at that view! All the best with the rest of your travels, hopefully we will see you again one day for a week long stay :)...

We had an extremely relaxing stay in the Stone Cottage. The cottage was basic but clean and comfortable. Beautiful open fire that radiated a lot of heat. Great hot water service showered 8 and still ran hot. The grounds are great and you can let the kids go wild without worry. Beautiful wildlife around you. But don't cuddle the hens,...

Thank you for your review, glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We have given the chickens a delousing treatment, but unfortunately it may be a recurring problem as they lice come from wild birds, which we have in abundance! Thanks again, we look forward to seeing you on your next visit :)

Charming cabins in an beautiful setting. Amazing amount of functional space in a small building. It was only 2 of us, but could have comfortabley accommodated 6-8 people. Well kitted out kitchen and comfortable bed. Our only complaint was that the sofa was old and uncomfortable, but we spent more time sitting on the porch watching the emus and kangaroos....

Thank you for your lovely review. Yes, the old sofas are an interesting one. As authentic and fitting as they are, we will probably end up replacing them with something that provides comfort rather than authenticity! Glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you again in the future. Kind regards, The team @ Grampians Pioneer Cottages

We stayed here, together as a family. The owners Corinne and Aiden had only recently taken out over and they were amazing! Corinne was so accommodating, professional and funny. I felt totally at home here. The cabins are all made from recycled material and they are something quite spectacular. I highly recommend a visit!

I've stayed at the Pioneer Cottages a few time and each has been a wonderful experience. From the rustic, quiet cottages to the grazing roos peacefully watching us watch them. The scenery is lovely, the wildlife is active, and the cabins are quite homey. It's really a great place to grill or ride bikes or just sit outside and relax...

Beautiful scenery, rustic cottages, very friendly staff and wildlife at your doorstep. The cottages aren't exactly 'luxury', but they are certainly very charming. Only a 5 minute drive down the road to Halls Gap.

Amazing place to stay! Just far enough away from Halls Gap's touristy 'bustle', to feel totally remote and at peace with such amazing serenity! Looking out the cottage window one morning, I honestly thought Ned Kelly could perhaps appear! That's the real unique vibe you get when you stay there at the cottages! The fabulous managers Corrie and Aiden, really...

Highly recommended place to stay, so close to halls gap zoo that from front verandah you can see the giraffes. We love the uniqueness of the cottage and the story behind them. We will definitely stay here again.

You will love the original cottages with wildlife at your doorstep ! Kangaroos bevel leave this place no matter what time of a day it is. Clouds of parrots will add to exotic character. Have visitors from overseas? Bring them here - they will be impressed. Kitchen in the cottage and Bbq area well equipped. Unwind yourself on serenity walk!
