It was a spontaneous decision to stay at Halls Gap Valley Spa Lodges, however proved to be a fantastic choice! A quick search online showed a vacancy with very reasonable pricing. At Reception, Jenny, one of the owners, provided a warm and cheerful welcome. There was an extensive range of board games which guests could borrow. We availed ourselves of two (Pictionary and Trivial Pursuit) and they proved to be great evening entertainment away from electronic media. That said there was good wifi at the unit. The lodge was clean and incredibly well equipped with full kitchen, pots & pans, toaster, sandwich press, crockery and utensils. A gas stove, oven and full sized refrigerator made the kitchen complete. We ate out the first night then enjoyed a “home” cooked meal the next. There was a full dining table, very comfy leather lounge seating and wall television all in a warm space thanks to the effective reverse cycle air conditioning. Beds were comfortable and had electric blankets though these weren’t required as the radiant oil heaters in the bedrooms made the rooms cosy. The bathroom featured a spa tub with overhead shower offering the choice of a quick wash or long warm soak. A fire pit at each unit lodge made for pleasant evenings outdoors. I was very impressed with the lodge set up, and the absolutely stunning views from the valley location. Kangaroos, an emu and cockatoos were delightful free ranging locals which added to the peaceful setting. As said initially, it was a spontaneous decision to stay here though proved to be an outstanding choice. Fully recommended!

The property is clean and spacious. Kitchen is well equipped with all necessary appliances, paper towel, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, salt & pepper, etc. Linen and towel are clean and of high quality. Wifi was generally good although not so stable to stream contents (on our laptop).
Location is a little far from the shops but it's only a short distance driving.
What I didn't like: These are things that I don't like but since it's nitpicking, they didn't impact the overall score I gave. There's nothing to watch on TV. Only few local channel available and none of the DVD available interests us. TV in the lodge are new and smart TV but they couldn't be connected to wireless wifi. The queen bed made a lot of noise when we moved around. Also from the bedrooms of the lodge, high pitch wind noise can be heard throughout the night. I'm a light sleeper so didn't get good sleep during the stay. However, my kids said their single beds were very comfortable. The rangehood in the kitchen needs cleaning and repairing. We didn't use it but the rangehood light panel and filters kept dropping down. There's also very loud noise in the kitchen and living room every time someone is having a shower in the bathroom. 'Complimentary' shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel are provided but it's also to note (as we found out after arrival) that 'complimentary' means one small bottle of each kind for the whole lodge, regardless of the number of paid guests staying there. However, there are bar soaps provided for everyone.

Our family booked 4 of the lodges again as we had also been there in 2022. The stay was excellent and the grandkids absolutely enjoyed it as they got to ride their bikes around the grounds which they wouldn't have been able to do at any of the other places in Halls Gap. It is short distance by bike to Halls Gap and in the other direction south to the Reservoir on the bike paths. I took my mountain bike and headed across the road through the cleared bush areas to the Boronia track (below Boronia Peak) past Halls Gap and had a fantastic ride passing herds of deer but did have to haul the bike over some fallen trees. We will definitely go back and stay there again as it does not feel as cramped as staying inside the Halls Gap township. The restaurant at the motel next door also made it an experience with their huge meals at a reasonable price for families

Was really looking forward to visiting this property as the setting seemed (and is) pretty special with kangaroos and emus roaming the grounds.
However, our first impressions were poor and as a result we never felt comfortable there and left a day early. We arrived mid afternoon but reception was closed and we found our lodge key pinned to a board at the front door. Immediately inside the front door is a large lounge/kitchen/dining area but it all just looked tired and in need of some sprucing up. In particular the 2 black leatherette sofas were badly worn and quite scuffed. One had stuffing coming out of a cushion. The kitchen was quite well equipped but seemed to be endowed with notices of the "do this or we'll charge you " variety (see photos) so it all just felt a bit cold and unfriendly and out of date. The bedrooms had decent bedding and the property was pretty clean with one exception- the previous guests/housekeeping had forgotten to clean grease from the hob. Also a large set of keys had been left in a bedroom.
We ended leaving a day early and there was also no-one to talk to at 0845 when we departed, so we didn't see any staff member while we were there.
I did get a text message from the owner later that day after she'd realised we'd left early asking if we were ok and to be fair I understand there was a good reason why she wasn't there to check us in personally but I don't think even a warm welcome would have lifted the place to a 5* review given some of the other issues

I don't think this review deserves much of a reply, all of our other reviews speak for themselves as to where the problem lies. Maybe you are wanting champagne on a beer budget.

We booked the villa for a family of 5. It was great. The villa is spacious. The roller bed was comfortable too and can be placed at either one of the room. It comes with two bedrooms, The bathroom at master bedroom does not have any door.
The kitchen is well equipped with all the utensils. You can sight wild kangaroos, ducks and deers everywhere surrounding.
The villa is quite a distant from other lodges. It may look spooky at first glance but you will love it when you are inside the villa and look out at the surrounding.
Check-in and check-out was smooth for us. (we booked via booking.com)
If you are more to nature, this is highly recommended.

We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed the stay here very much. The cabin is very clean and spacious, the mountainous scenery outside the cabin is awesome. The bathroom is very big and come with a washing machine. The heating in the bathroom is particularly useful to help dry our laundry overnight. The kitchenette is very well equipped and the utensils in my cabin are almost brand new.
The lady at the reception is very friendly and responsive to our queries. There are many videos and board games for the guests to enjoy which a plus point.
As shared by others, kangaroos , emu and parrots roam around the property freely but didn't cause any problem to our stay here. In one the nights, we get to see plenty stars from the patio, the view was awesome!

We recently stayed at Halls Gap Valley Lodges for three nights, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Their warm and accommodating nature truly stood out, and nothing was ever too much trouble for them.
The room was spotless, well-appointed, and had all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. Every detail seemed carefully thought out, making it a perfect blend of comfort and convenience.
The location was excellent, and the ambiance throughout the property was delightful. Whether it was the seamless check-in process, the helpful recommendations, or the prompt service, everything exceeded our expectations.
We were a large group of 35 people and we left feeling refreshed and genuinely valued as guests. A big thank you to the wonderful team at Halls Gap Valley Lodges for making our stay so memorable. Highly recommended!

Fabulous stay once again! This is the fourth time staying at Halls Gap Valley Lodges and we continue to be impressed with how friendly, clean, spacious the accommodation is. Wildlife right outside the door is an awesome bonus. Next time, when the weather is cooler, I’m determined to make use of the fire pit that each lodge has right out front!

This absolutely picturesque cottage accommodation is like a home away from home. The views through the front windows of The Grampians were just gorgeous. Built in the 1960s but updated, this clean and comfortable cottage has a very well appointed kitchen (including sharp knives) and spacious separate dining area and lounge. Beds were comfortable. Spa bath was welcome after hiking in The Grampians. The accommodation is visible from the summit of The Pinnacle! We particularly loved the wildlife, and saw multitudes of birds, kangaroos, wallabies, emus and lizards.

Jenny and Mark have a lovely property that is between Halls Gap town centre and Lake Bellfield. The cabins are basic but very well maintained, clean and well appointed with all linen, towels, cooking and eating utensils supplied. Our cabin had a spa bath and a great view of the nearby Grampians National Park.
Lots of wildlife visit the large property including Kangaroos, Emus and Sulphur Crested Cockatoos.
We really enjoyed exploring the Grampians and found our lodge to be a very comfortable, quiet and a convenient location to base ourselves.
We will certainly come back again soon!
