Gisborne Peak Winery Cottages (Macedon Ranges) is a place where relaxation, luxury, sustainability and fine wine all come together. Each of the 4 winery cottages are self-contained and sleep two people. They are nestled into the hillside overlooking the vines and the lake. Perfect for relaxing, reading, talking or just watching the grapes grow! You can always have a tasting of the estate grown wines at the cellar door and even help out in the vineyard with seasonal activities if you want. Wood-fired pizzas and more are served daily. One of the advantages of the Gisborne South location is the close proximity to Melbourne and the airport. No need to waste time getting here – spend that time instead settling in and enjoying the sights, sounds and tastes of the Macedon Ranges. What you get in the Macedon Ranges is honesty and authentic passion. What you get at Gisborne Peak Winery Cottages is all of that plus comfort, food & wine and relaxation. Why wait? We booked a two night getaway during the week in a eco cottage from Melbourne. The eco-cottage was cosy, warm, clean and very private. A great place to unwind, the countryside was amazing. A perfect place to relax. However, if you can't live without your phone or internet don't stay there as Gisborne has very poor/ to no internet/phone reception.

Hello ltina787, Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us here at Gisborne Peak Winery. As we are in a remote location, we struggle to obtain the handy service of internet reception, it is an ongoing battle that we have and we're trying our best to fix the situation. To make guest amusement in our cottages, we have a TV, DVDs and board games for guests to use at their own leisure. Thank you again for leaving this review, and we hope to see you again soon! Kind Regards, Nikki Sedgman Gisborne Peak Winery - Administration

We loved the little cottage! It is a great spot, nestled there above the vines. The breakfast ingredients were perfect and the wine was a great addition to our evenings! The surrounding areas are beautiful. We really enjoyed our two nights away.

Thank you for writing such a wonderful review. There's nothing like a good breakfast when you are on a short break. And the wine always tastes better when you are drinking it where it is grown! The Macedon Ranges are a hidden gem to explore. I hope you can make it back another day.

We loved the privacy of our cottage and the sumptuous and delicious breakfast provided with our package. We loved learning about the history of the winery and walking through the vineyards. We loved the pizza that we had with the wines we tasted from the winery. We would have liked to try some of the other dishes on the menu if time had permitted. We enjoyed the darkness and silence of the bush accommodation. We were disappointed that the gas appeared to deplete the night before we left which affected our heating and hot water. There was backup heating which we were able to use next morning. We could have asked for assistance for the gas hot water, but we decided it was too late in our weekend escape to trouble the owners on a Sunday morning but did pass it on as we left. (late May) best afternoon sun at cottage below fern cottage. Fern cottage and adjacent appeared to have more difficulty rear parking a larger car. Cottages, lower level are separated by the entry road. Cottages at higher level are divided by the carport. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the cottage, however the outdoor bbq could have been cleaner. We cleaned it and the liner before we used it. We very much enjoyed our stay in our cottage at Gisborne Peake Winery. Thank you.

My partner and I booked two nights in an eco-cottage for a weekend getaway from Melbourne. It was really lovely! When we arrived the cottage we pre-heated with a bottle of sparking waiting for us. The place was so cute. The fridge was stocked with essentials to make a delicious breakfast including eggs, bread, yogurt and bacon. Though it was a cold couple of days in May, the cabin was toasty with a powerful heater and much-appreciated electric blanket for the bed. We drank wine, played board games, listened to music and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. The following day we went for a short walk around the vines and enjoyed a pizza lunch and wine tasting at the cellar door. All the staff were lovely and hospitable. I really have no complaints. It was a cozy, lovely and relaxing stay! I'd recommend it to anyone :)

Although you had to weave your way through the undulating countryside, the result was worth it. We were welcomed at the winery by Barbara who was extremely helpful at check in and later at the cellar door where we had tastings although it was a very busy time. The cottages are well spaced so there is privacy. Our cottage was very well presented with ample breakfast provisions. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was clean. Rather than travelling out for dinner we were able to purchase a platter from the winery, which was delivered by Barbara, and this was ample for the two of us.
