Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The facilities were fantastic and the staff were helpful and friendly. The meal and wine tasting was delicious. Our cabin was cosy with everything thing you could need for a short stay. The views from our eco-cabin were superb. We had a wonderful time.

Our cottage was modern and well designed and offered everything we needed. Provisions for breakfast were generous and quality and we appreciated the electric fry pan which we used for our BYO dinner. Overall a great experience in a clean and cosy cottage.

Would highly recommend staying here! We were greeted by friendly staff. We had a Red Balloon weekend, which included a 2 course lunch of pizza & dessert. A wine tasting & glass of wine. All beautiful!

We were surprised that our children gave us this gift of lunch, game of golf and a stay at the cottage at a winery for a night. They said in combined all our favourite things. They were right! The pizza and wine were excellent, the cottage was so gorgeous that we stayed a second night. We were able to cook our own breakfast ( which was supplied). The cottage was very comfortable, private and we felt like we owned a winery for a night. The golf course was also very lovely and challenging. A fabulous 🎁 staff were very helpful too.

The setting was perfect amongst the vines. The cottage had everything we needed, and we had a lovely variety with our breakfast provisions. The cellar door and their classic wood-fired pizzas were close by. It was a lovely stay, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a romantic vineyard experience.

We stayed under the Gisborne Peak Winery stay with lunch, wine tasting, breakfast, and golf the next day. Gorgeous little place with a homey feel, great for a little getaway and special treat. Although the lunch looked small, it was really quite filling and such sweet yummy hot chocolates! A very sweet and cozy experience for couples.

The cottages are lovely, with all the amenities you could possibly need for a weekend away. Breakfast amenities were more than ample & the staff were soo accomodating even organising for a takeaway platter from the restaurant for us. I would definitely stay again, the only things I would point out is that there is not great internet coverage in the cottage & no wifi also the restaurant closes at 5pm with any other restaurant being a 10min drive away it would be nice if the winery restaurant was open for dinner. Apart from that I can’t fault the accomodation, restaurant or service from Gisborne Peak Winery. I would definitely return.

These eco cottages are nestled beautifully at the back of the property. Very quiet! The drive through the vineyards is lovely before you arrive at the cottages. The cottages are equipped with basic cooking facilities but very easy to use. The complementary breakfast items that were placed in our fridge were great. We were able to make a really nice hot breakfast every morning. There was no internet access in the cottages so if you are wanting to be able to work unfortunately you have to drive into town for this! But other than that being "off the grid" was a nice change and we really enjoyed our weekend away at the Gisborne Peak Winery Cottages. Highly recommend.

These are one bedroom cabins on a small winery. They are very spacious with a separate lounge and some basic cooking facilities. in our 'red balloon' package we got a wine tasting, an overnight stay, breakfast, and a pizza lunch with a glass of wine and a game of golf on nearby Gisbourne golf course. The staff were helpful and friendly. I thought the only weakness was that the package was not available on Friday or Saturday nights - which makes it harder for people who work.
