I stayed at the Prom Country Lodge for one night while attending a horse clinic at Fish Creek. My room was clean, modern and comfortable and had everything I needed to relax and refresh after spending the day with horses. The heater worked well which I appreciated after a wet and windy day of being outside. I enjoyed the outlook onto a garden. I had dinner at Max's restaurant on site which was delicious and convenient with a friendly atmosphere. There was a good selection and you can choose from entree or main meal sizes. I was also able to grab a takeaway breakfast in the morning which was extremely handy for me. The bed was fresh and comfortable and I slept well. I would stay again.
The motel decor was older style (we did not aask for a renovated room of which there are some) and the bathroom was dated and in need of a refurb. The room was nicely decorated and clean and large and everything worked well. WiFi was very good. The staff were pleasant and service oriented.T his motel would normally rate only three but it was a notch above average.
We stayed 3 nights at a queen superior room. The Owners have done some recent face lifts to the rooms and it shows. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a beautiful garden view from the big window. Vic & Kim and the team were really friendly and attentive to all our needs. Even during the public holiday dates, they ensured all the room amenities were kept at stock and fresh towels priveded ( on request). Location is a plus plus..right on the doorway to the cute little country town of Foster so the town centre is a comfortable 15 mins walk. The Prom is just about 25 mins drive away. The other highlight is they have the best cafe in town right on their property. Max's Cafe is located onsite and the food and the service is absolutely wonderful. Overall a great Experience. We'll definitely be back at the Lodge when we visit the Prom next year.…
A relaxed atmosphere with a country feeling; no hassles! The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional. The eye fillet was cooked to perfection and vegetables were ideal. The greens were cooked but still crisp. Could not fault the venue and would recommend it to all. Definitely will return at another time.
This motel is extremely well-run with a restaurant offering lovely cooked breakfasts and great dinners. The motel is in a lovely setting with trees, tree ferns, a vegetable garden and some tables and chairs among the trees. It is not far from the charming town of Foster, and a good location to stay if you are visiting Wilson's Promontory.
