Detailed Reviews
Yes...this is a older Motel but the owners have done a good job sprucing it up. We were in the Family Unit which is by far the largest unit. It had 2 BR's and a full kitchen with old but functional appliances. The inside had recently been painted and there were no bad smells that sometimes plague older motels. The bathroom had also been updated. There was a sitting area and a nice dining table. Just a few table settings and not very many pieces of silverware. The knives were so dull that they had difficulty cutting butter(that's a joke not a fact!). The Communal BBQ did not have it's supplies replenished (no paper towels, plates or cutlery). Overall I'd book early so you can get the Family Unit...Great Value!

This simple but equally, charming motel is well maintained, clean and tidy. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, combined with an affordable rate and of course location, make it a great base to explore the wonderful Wilson's Prom area along with Venus Bay to the West. Thanks Christele and the team!

Small basic room but has everything you need.
Rooms have table chairs as well as toaster kettle and a microwave.
The plumbing is very loud. If any room in the row turn on the tap water hammer occurs. This results in a sleepless night.
Location is great and you can walk anywhere in town.
Across the road is the Exchange Hotel- great pub food.

We booked a standard family room which suits for 4 people in this motel and when we arrived the day of the stay, they wanted to charge us more because of COVID. There is no one to at the reception, you have to ring a door bell then a woman answered via intercom. She is the rudest person I have ever seen, she first couldn't find my reservation and annoyed as I had two last names. I felt very unwelcoming and frustrated by her comments and did not want to stay there after a very tiring trip to Wilsons Prom. We decided not to stay there and drove back to Melbourne. I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. A fully functional motel. We paid for one of the better rooms which was spacious, spotlessly clean, had a good shower with plenty of hot water and good wi-fi. Nice on-site cafe which does breakfasts after 8am. The hotel is only 2 minutes walk from the Exchange Hotel (really a pub) which does excellent evening meals but booking is advised as most of the town seemed to be eating there

Rudest receptionist ever !
Had to ring a doorbell when we arrived and we were greeted with a voice coming through the intercom saying “Did you not read the notice on the door” in a very unfriendly and gruff manner. We eventually got into our room and requested milk for our much needed cuppa - we got a rude phone call and was told to go to the shop across the road for milk !! Room was adequate but very tired and in need of freshening up - would not recommend or stay again.

We have been travelling around Victoria for a while and have stayed in many hotels, old and new. This one was by far the worst. It looked as if the corner of my bed had bee chewed by a dog and the plug socket was literally hanging off the wall.
We arrived early but was greeted with a rude woman who used a ver abrupt manner, informing us check in is at 2. We wanted to ask a question, but she closed the door on us, again stating check in was at 2. The notice on the door states we should receive a text message about checking in, and at 1.30pm we still hadn’t.
We got back around 5.30pm. Still no text about checking in. We were tired and hungry. We rang the bell on reception to ask how to check in. And a very rude woman asked if we can read the note on the door. I explained we can read it, but we have no text. She then said she sent me a text at around 3.30pm. I explained I didn’t have one. She forwarded it again.
We had the same issue with milk. The rude lady said the delivery hadn’t arrived, which is clearly a lie as other reviews say the same. I wouldn’t stay here again if I were paid to do so. Terrible!

I keep coming back here when I work in south Gippsland because of the location and how quiet it is. It’s in a fantastic location off the highway and it’s right in the heart of Foster.
The rooms are clean, tv is great and the shower water pressure good. There is plenty of off street parking also.

Stayed for a few nights. It is an older motel however well kept, clean and room serviced everyday.
Located centrally in Foster walking distance to shops, cafes etc.
Only issue we had was mouldy odour in the room and bathroom.
