Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Another fabulous stay at Ripparoo ski lodge. Claire and Al are wonderful hosts and Al's food is second to none. Every night bar Friday, Al and the kitchen team serve up delicious three course dinners and vegetarians and pescatarians are very well catered for to the same high standard. Kids have early dinner. Breakfast is early but good to fuel up for a day on the slopes or just a relaxing day in. Falls creek has plenty of options. The lodge is warm, cosy and clean complete with a central log fire and has traditional, friendly ski lodge vibes. We stayed in a refurbished room with a comfy king bed, modern linen and lovely new bathroom. Ask for the king room if you can, well worth the small extra amount. Thanks Claire, Al, Emily and the team.

Once again another amazing week at Ripparoo. Claire and Al and the girls are so welcoming, super helpful and make our stay each year the best week of the year for us. The food is outstanding, the drinks around the fire is the perfect way to finish the day after being on the slopes. Already looking forward to next year.

As always a tremendous experience. Claire & Al are fabulous hosts. The menu continues to be one of the hidden gems at Falls Creek. Emma & the housekeeping staff were very attentive. Ripparoo is very down to earth Lodge and the absence of pretentious personalities a reflects calm and enjoyable atmosphere.

Ripparoo is a true gem of a lodge. I love it. The lodge provides full breakfast and dinner catering with amazing food and excellent service. The vibe in the lodge lounge is fun and relaxed and the ski facilities are great. The bedrooms are clean and warm with good storage and simple style. Best thing is if you get your ski gear delivered and picked up from the drying room, & like to eat lunch on the mountain , you can rock up to a ski holiday carrying not much more than your clothes

Whilst the rooms are a little austere , there is nothing austere about the atmosphere and interactions at the lodge. Managers Claire and Al and assistant manager Emma run a slick outfit disguised as laid-back. Having stayed now our third time, (with teenagers) we are continually surprised and impressed. Suits many generations, everyone welcome.

Great and friendly staff. Food is fantastic. Comfortable rooms. With lots of snow it was ski in/out!! A great place for relaxing around their open fire after a day on the mountain. Also, a chance of a pat with house doggie.

Ripparoo is a special place and one of the things that makes it SO unique and amazing are the Hosts/Managers Claire and Al - Friendly but so organised - and AMAZING Cooked Breakfasts every Morning and 3 Course Feasts every Night! Included in the Tarriff ! Nothing better after a day skiing to come back, shower, and settle in for a 3 Course gourmet meal in fine Company and BYO! It’s a great Win/Win Business Model !

This is an older style alpine lodge. You're welcomed by a roaring fire as you enter. The entire lodge is cozy, warm and very comfortable. The rooms are big enough with lots of storage. The ski and drying rooms are huge, and your gear is guaranteed to be dry the next morning. It is conveniently located near shuttle stop 2, which is a very short walk up from the lodge. Then you can ski down to Hayley's. The village return trail will take you right back to the front door. But of course, the most amazing thing about the lodge is the people. Claire and Al have been managing and providing consistently 5-star quality food for 15 years. Not much beats coming home after a day on the slopes, a hot shower, and rocking up to a 3 course dinner with good conversations. The children are also well looked after with their favorite foods at an earlier sitting, then going upstairs to the games and TV rooms. It's no surprise the guests are often returning families. Otherwise there's always Mojo, the friendly and extremely well behaved lodge dog!
