We were booked early August with feathertop but due to dans stupid 3 day regional lockdown we had to cancel. Danielle (owner) offered us a full refund bar a small booking fee but we decided to rebook a week later after the regional lockdown ended.
Fortunately we booked directly with them as they have a full pick up and drop off service from the car park. Saves paying resort management $86 for that service.✅.
When we arrived straight away you feel a warm fun vibe at the place.
Bondy and Danny ( the owners) are unbelievable friendly and genuinely want you to have an amazing trip.

We were planning on eating a couple of nights at feathertop and the remaining nights out and about.
But the food was so good we ended up having all 7 nights in. Sergio (Argentinian chef) is a maestro. $55 for a beautiful entree and main finished with relaxing on the chesterfields in front of the open fire sipping G&t’s.
When you see the menu, FOMO has you slowly working threw the menu.
We were in a king size room, bed comfy , shower great pressure. Not a lot of storage space in the rooms, but we were literally just in it to sleep as the vibe in the lounge bar is where you want to be.
Hot tub in the snow is a nice little luxury for when the legs stop working.
Each morning you click into your skis out the front of feathertop, ski 30m along the road and drop into the milky way . Coming back you can ski to about 30m from the lodge.
This is the first time we have stayed here after doing 20 seasons straight at Thredbo. Feathertop will definitely be our go to for each up coming season.
Regards
Luke

Myself and partner stayed here while participating in the Peaks Challenge bike ride. We were absolutely thrilled with the owners and staff at the lodge. They catered for our needs and our food requirements for the 230 km ride, especially the 5 am breakfast on the day of the ride and the great post ride dinner with musician. All meals were tailor made for the riders requirements. The room we had suited our needs without any problems, there was ample storage for the bikes. Would and will stay here again.

We just spent 3 nights at Feathertop and it was great. The owners are lovely and welcoming, and always happy to have a chat and recommend local activities. We were particularly impressed by Steve dropping off the kayaks and paddleboards for residents to use at the dam. The rooms are exactly as advertised - our only complaint was a lack of powerpoints in the family sized room (we could only find one three burner power board under the bunks, but we have phones and watches to charge up so that was a bit tricky).

Sergio at the restaurant is one of the most amazing chefs I’ve experienced in Australia. His food is absolutely out of this world - have dinner here at least once in your stay. He also managed to put out a five course meal on New Year’s Eve with NO POWER - I don’t know how he did it.

We just had 5 nights of wonderful hospitality with Danielle , Steve , family and their lovely staff. Sergio the Argentinian chef cooked superb meals with many of his specialties reflecting his culture. The restaurant was full of locals every night , a testament to how good the food is . The service throughout , from the start , being picked up with our luggage was wonderful. The snow was great with no crowds so we packed in over 40 runs some days . After solid days skiing we came home to the outdoor spa for bubbly relaxation. We rang the bar from the spa and they would deliver beers down to us, what service ! Everyone were very friendly and inclusive , a really comfortable family atmosphere. Sitting on the couch by the central open fire , chatting and eating a gourmet charcuterie board was a wonderful way to end the evening. For those who wanted tech, there was strong free wifi, a tv room with Netflix and Stan and Kayo . The beds were very comfortable and nice bathrooms with hot showers ! Do yourself a favour if you live regionally, during lockdown , and get up there now to enjoy wonderful snow and hospitality

The most accommodating and exceptionally supportive owners, a fantastic friendly bunch of staff with delicious food in a cosy comfortable setting and great location. Why stay anywhere else!

My son and I arrived as Victoria’s 5th lockdown started! It was an OMG moment with the mountain shutting down. Somewhat dumbstruck with our plans out the window and no way of us getting back to Launceston, in the timeframe to beat quarantine, we just got a drink and watched all other guests bar 1 (Adam) leave the mountain. I was so impressed as the owners politely supported everyone, with their quick exits, including providing refunds. What a horrible time for businesses and employees and amongst all of this both owners, Steve and Dani, provided us with the best support, accommodating our needs and making us feel so welcome. We were so happy we stayed as the experience was one to remember for a lifetime and the snow was fantastic even though we had to walk the mountain, we had it basically to ourselves.

We were unable to travel due to COVID. I asked for a refund right away, however the lodge gave us a credit valid only for 1 season and refused to provide a refund.

If you have any uncertainty about your plans, be careful. Recommend paying by credit card so you can recover any money by disputing the charge.

Feathertop was everything we wanted for a really special family alpine holiday. It has a magical setting, ski in and out, and small but comfortable rooms with lots of thoughtful touches. We felt looked after and welcomed throughout our stay with cooked breakfasts and coffee in the mornings and delicious meals in the evening. Special effort was made to procure some gluten free options for our youngest. The open fire in the restaurant area was perfect to relax around at the end of the day, and we made good use of the kids room and lounge as well. Dani and Steven are fantastic hosts who made us feel at home and helped with transfers and any queries throughout our stay.

Staying at Feathertop lodge was a lovely introduction for our family of 4 to Falls Creek. The staff were incredible & the food was absolutely delicious. Coffee also fabulous!!
The ski in ski out option was appealing however not suited to beginner skiers i would say. There is other transport for the beginner skier.
The rooms are small, (all rooms are on the mountain) however there is a place to put everything & your relaxing is done by the open fire in the common lounge which has a lovely ambience, you wont want to leave.
Having a smaller room definitely takes some getting used to but once you work it out it really is no big deal!! We would stay there again!

Outstanding dining combined with warm and friendly service. Summer dining jackpot! Tried everything on the menu over a few days. The mushroom dish was extraordinary and I’m not a vegetarian. Shana and Sergio work as an exceptional team.
Sublime!
