I had the pleasure of staying briefly at Diana Lodge before commencing the Falls Creek to Mt Hotham hike with Alpine Nature Experience. We had the most enjoyable and relaxing evening, very well looked after by Lisa, her mum and the divine dogs! Lovely lodge, great location and superbly appointed. Great food and service. Recommend it highly in summer or imagine it would be awesome in winter too!
We had one night glamping and one night in the Lodge itself and Lisa and Nellie made our stay so relaxing and comfortable. From the first minute I felt at home and it was like staying in a 5 star resort and in a friend's home all at once. The food, service and atmosphere was perfect and everything was supplied for us to enjoy our stay. I will be back and I will be recommending Diana Alpine Lodge to anyone who will listen. Thanks so much Lisa.
We, twowheeltours, went to Falls Creek for a five day private cycling tour and based ourselves at the Diana Alpine Lodge. Each day we rode to a different location such as Mt Buffalo, Omeo and Mt Hotham. We had such an amazing stay. Lisa and her staff made us feel like we were at home for the entire stay. Providing amazing, hearty, breakfasts each morning, including barista style coffee, making picnic lunches when we requested and then each night substantial dinners and refuel us for the next days ride. There is also a bar There is plenty of space to leave our bikes securely overnight, the beds are comfortable, rooms very clean and ultra-quiet at night. We were even able to do laundry half way through the tour. 10 out of 10 for everything and highly recommended, even if you are not cycling this is a great place to stay and base yourself for hiking, MTB'ing. I can just image that it would be the same during the ski-season. Thanks again Lisa.…
We stayed at Diana Lodge for 2 nights as part of the Auswalk Alpine walk. We were welcome by Lisa, Nellie, and Sky! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the meals absolutely delicious (these Buddha bowls!) and the lodge is very welcoming.
My friend booked us a shared room for the Bicycle Network Peaks Challenge event and at first I was a bit stressed probably more to do with the event. The family room was big enough to accommodate 4 adults and all our belongings. It had a large family room and bike storage which is a big plus for me. Event day breakfast was from 5am and was brilliant exactly what you needed 🙌 The hosts went out of their way to accommodate and assist and were genuinely happy to help with any question. Would like to say I'd go back but I am not keen on the event but would be keen to visit in the winter and would consider this accommodation if I did
This place is just great. The owners are so helpful and hospitable and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are new and very comfortable. And the food is fantastic, catering for we two vegans with no problem. Highly recommended.
My wife and I and another couple spent two super nights at Diana. We’ve been watching it evolve for years and it is now just GREAT. I initially spoke with Lisa, who took my booking, and she filled me with confidence - she was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and keen to help us secure our bookings. We arrived on Friday night and stayed till Sunday - we had a classical alpine summer weekend. Lovely weather one day and snow the next - breathtaking. Enjoyed a spot of Flyfishing, driving a sootscar around the Alpine highway and lunch at the Mitta Mitta brewery. Our Meals were great - dinner on Saturday night excellent. Breakfasts were simple but spot on. Our rooms were clean and warm, beds were comfortable (albeit WAY too big) - I think some accommodations would be nice to have just big double beds rather than two singles put together to for a massive king size unit. But then they would lose their flexibility I guess. Lisa and Heath were great hosts - we’ll be back! …
We stayed for 3 days in November to experience the mountains in summer (and to escape from Melbourne post lock-down). The lodge is pleasant and unassuming, and a great location. Lisa, our host, was wonderful - cheerful, personal and considerate. We were having a beer on the balcony after a hard day mountain-biking and couldn't be bothered to go looking for dinner, so her chef rustled up a bespoke, excellent salad and dessert. Lisa also came and rescued us after a long day's hike which was a little more than we had counted on - she had offered to pick us up from the road and save us the final walk in, and did so cheerfully (with collie, Skye, for company). Our European room was quite small, but the lodge itself is roomy and friendly, with plenty of places to hang out. I would highly recommend it.…
Nice people. Nice food. Very clean and comfortable lodge. Highly recommended for families or adults. They offered early check in and late check out without me even asking. Slept like a baby on the comfy bed. Location would be fantastic in peak season as you can ski out the back door straight onto Gully Chair.
We really enjoyed our stay in a family room. It was clean and cosy, our only minor complaint was no WiFi in our room, but it was available in the lounge. Rooms were reasonably spacious but basic and the Lodge is well located so we could walk our bags to the transfer station and avoid over snow transport. Great ski in ski out location and the food was fabulous. We really enjoyed all the meals. Thanks Lisa and crew! We will be back for sure!
