We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay at the Southern Grampian Cottages. We stayed for two nights with our two kids. The luxury cottage was a real treat! The cottage is done up brilliantly, with the ambience of Australian native feel to it with the decor. It has a luxurious feel with the linen, towels, dinnerware, hand wash/body wash and candles are all high quality throughout the cottage. We loved the fire place, it kept us cozy and relaxed. We also enjoyed the local hot chocolate and marshmallows, available for purchase from the reception. We loved relaxing in the spa bath, which further complimented the luxurious feel . All the spaces were immaculate, clean and well organised, with everything we needed in the kitchen for a homely stay. The kids enjoyed playing in the little playground outside, which had a cute cubby house with plenty of toys to keep them playing creatively. The reception had a lot DVDS, games, etc available for use during our stay. It was lovely to see some of the kangaroos and wallabies on the grounds also. All up we enjoyed our luxurious 5 star stay at the cottages and would recommend to anyone wanted to explore The Grampians and surrounding areas- including Hamilton town, which is a short distance. We booked our accommodation here in Dunkeld as at it was a good base to all surrounding areas, including the purpose of our trip which was to fossick for gemstones in Mooralla.

A beautiful place to relax. This was our third visit and each time we are amazed at how comfortable, warm and inviting the cottages and the surrounding grounds are to holiday within. The caretaker Tracey I think that was her name and I apologise if I had that wrong was just so lovely. She had our fire going and lights on which made it feel just like home. Thankyou and we cannot wait to return.

Such a fantastic place! Myself, hubby and 2 little girls stayed here for 2 nights and it was just perfect. Very comfortable, warm and cosy with the fire. Fantastic well equiped kitchen and they even had baskets of toys for the kids! Laundry came in handy with our messy toddlers too. Definitely recommend for young families ♥️

A great place to stay. Located at the foot of the beautiful Southern Grampians, in a beautifully cared for bush garden setting, the cabin we had was large, bright and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was fully equipped with modern appliances and a good range of kitchen tools. Beds were comfortable – the staff friendly and welcoming. Delightful to wake in the morning to find kangaroos staring through the window! Highly recommended.

The cabins are set in a spacious native garden at the foot of Mount Sturgeon. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin with a well equipped kitchen (with plenty of utensils including oil, salt and pepper), spacious bedroom, lounge and woodburner. There’s a gas Weber BBQ on the verandah and communal laundry facilities. The cabins were super clean and well-designed with lots of thoughtful touches – handmade chocolates, extra towel rails in the bathroom, and super powerful bedside/reading lights. Tracey, the caretaker is super helpful and friendly and the native gardens attract the birds and the kangaroos in the morning.

Charming and well appointed cottages set in beautiful native gardens. We stayed here twice over the summer. The first time we booked with three other families and the second time with relatives to celebrate a milestone birthday. We loved the location, close to everything in Dunkeld, and the children enjoyed greeting the kangaroos, birds and possums each evening. Free swims at the local pool after some long walks were also a highlight. The cottages will be our go to accommodation from now on for catch ups with family and friends.

Such a serene beautiful location almost in the midst of wilderness. The cottage was well stocked. The owner and caretaker have thought of everything. There's a great little kids play area as well with any time access to sports equipment little racquets, balls etc. Great hit with the kids. There's easy and quick access to restaurants and shops if you need to but the inviting kitchen and bbq makes you want to cook something up even during your holiday. I have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone visiting the Grampians. A must try! Will be returning in the future again for sure if I'm heading that way.
