Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice Campground. Stayed in Cabin for weekend - well set up. Bedding (double bed) and towels provided. Kitchen had microwave, cooktop, all utensils, toaster, kettle, small fridge in each of the two rooms plus larger fridge in kitchen. Very clean and well maintained. View of lake.

Fabulous caravan park with excellent amenities which are very very clean. Honesty box system $25 per night powered site and pick your own spot. Caretaker comes daily. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back here by the lake in the future.

We were very happy with communication with the manager. Lovely, well kept park. Lakeside camp was wonderful with birdlife on the water. Amenities were so clean and modern. Well done. A little walk to town centre but lots to see on the walk with old machinery on display over he road. We will spread the word!

Towing a van and just need a power outlet or place to park, sure it can't hurt. However if they've tricked you into believing there are cabin, quick get you're money back!

Their "cabins" are old run down on-site caravans in poor condition. By poor I mean sleep fully clothed with your pillow inside a raincoat to keep it safe, and so that it doesn't need to be burned afterwards.

Essentially they are unlivable. Unclean. Smoke alarms are not operational.

If you're too late and have to spend a night in one of these, good luck!!

We camped here for 2 nights with lakeside frontage to delight at the "Corellas", Kookaburras and other birds greeting us in the morning and saying goodnight to us. The amenities' were very good with two wheelchair accessable showers and toilet as well.
The laundry was clean and well presented, there was some grassed areas but on the whole it was run of the mill grass with dirt patches. The lake is very nice with plenty of room for people to go kayaking or fishing, the kayaks and fishing equipment you have to supply your self. Payment is by the honesty system, while we were there it was $20 p/n for a powered site with a caretaker coming daily.
It is a short walk into the main street of town with many street murals done by the high school students and a historical trail telling you about various buildings, the agricultural museum, and the historical train museum these things were well worth the look. The town also has good coffee shops and eateries we went to the Ebg café which was good. On the whole we found this a very relaxing peaceful time and we were here on a long weekend and were still lucky enough to get a lakeside site.

Stopped overnight at lakeside. Very clean amenities. Kids enjoyed the adventure even though it was 1 degree with no heater brrrrr. It was an honesty box that cost us $20 for the night. I would go through Donald and stay again. Great to see the painted silos.

What a little gem! Since the Council has taken over this caravan park it is obviously much improved since previous reviews. New ammenities block, clean as a whistle, flat sites and a little lake too. Within walking distance to the Donald Agricultural Museum. Honesty system which I still think is unique to Australia, very quaint.

Beautiful lakeside area. Large sites and very clean amenities. No on site manager so the honesty box is by the amenities. Caretaker calls in daily. $20 a night for powered site. A very relaxing area to enjoy the peace and quiet.
The only downfall on my visit was a power problem causing low voltage to the park and it was a very cold night. Microwave did not work well on low voltage.
Do not let this stop you from visiting as I'm sure this would have been fixed by now.

We stayed here en route to Broken Hill and was amazed at the quality of this establishment. The new management were friendly and obliging. Amenities were clean throughout our stay and generally people within the park were friendly and welcoming. As this park sits next to a lake, swimming would also be an attraction. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here and look forward to coming back for a longer visit in the future.
