Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I have been staying at Riverside Host Farm for 5 days now. We have enjoyed kayaking, walking and the tranquility of this bush retreat. It is close to loads of other towns that have interesting things for people of all ages to explore and enjoy. I highly recommend this place for anyone wishing to visit this area. We hope to visit this farm again in the future.

Life slowed down and there's more than enough to look at from the chairs at your front door. The cabins are dated, but they are immaculately clean, well equipped and comfortable. We used the farm stay as a base to travel the Silo Art Trail and would go back and stay again. Cheryl was lovely and very helpful, the location is great, the view is spectacular...coming back home seemed extra hectic after a few days of quiet time in the Wimmera.

If you are looking for a family holiday in Western Victoria, by the banks of the Wimmera river, in affordable family accomodation, then you do need to contact Cheryl and Dennis Elliot. They are wonderful hosts and will do extra bits to make your stay memorable. Little Desert National Park nearby is a must visit.

We have just spent three fabulous days at Riverside Host Farm. My husband, two teen children and the dog had originally planned to camp, but as the cabins were very reasonably priced we decided on a cabin instead. It was clean, had everything we needed and included a beautiful view of the river. Fishing right at your door, birds everywhere! Fantastic!
It’s located close to town, and is a great base for trips out to The Little Desert for four wheel driving, walks, and bird watching.
Cheryl and Dennis made us all feel most welcome to their property and were very helpful with passing on their local knowledge. We thank them very much.
Hoping for a return visit.

Make sure you ask for the larger cabins the 2 small ones are very old and in the style of the old cabin van cramped and tired and have the ensuite outside - (also not very acceptable). Also make sure that when you receive confirmation that you have the cabin that was discussed. Was told I had a larger one and then tried to give me a smaller cabin, perhaps with interference from one of our group
