We have just returned from a week at the Sebel Creswick Forest Resort and could not be happier.
It is really nicely situated 30 minutes walk out of town on the Ballarat Road right beside the Goldfields RACV Resort.
Two bedrooms and two bathrooms made it perfect for us as we had a couple of friends stay three nights. Each bathroom has a big stand alone bath which got a lot of use, very nice . Great kitchen and lounge area with all the cooking utensils you need. Every thing in the kitchen worked fine .
TVs in each bedroom and in the lounge, also a laundry, there was room for two cars in the driveway, there was also a car park at the end of the units.
Both bedrooms had balconies and the living area had a nice outside verandah type area where it is nice to sit and watch the ducks on the pond a few yards away, the ducks and lovely little blue wrens were always looking for food .
Booking in was very simple, we had a phone call from Sebel Melbourne the day before our arrival to let us know the unit key was in a locked key box near the front door, we were given the code and it worked perfectly, there was a second key inside on the kitchen bench for us . When we left we just left the key back in the box and locked it , can’t be any simpler than that , a good system.
The unit was very clean, plenty of towels and bathroom amenities.
It was a great place to use as a base and visit many other towns in the area.
Being next door to the RACV CLUB was very nice, there is a great golf course there with lots of walking tracks which I used most mornings and evenings, there are hundreds of Kangaroos who obviously call the golf course home, they don’t worry anyone and are very used to being in close proximity to humans, a different experience.
The only thing that was a bit annoying was that every time we went to use the wifi we had to go through all the checking in each time , apart from that it worked ok .
The bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs so keep that in mind if stairs are a problem.

We have stayed here for 2 nights in the winter school holidays for the last 3 years. We are very disappointed to find the price has gone up almost $300 for two nights accomodation since our stay last year. We have loved our stays and had made it a yearly tradition but will not be paying almost $700 for two nights stay when we only paid $400 12 months ago. I understand that Covid19 has been tough on businesses however this price rise is excessive and unaffortable for many families. This accomodation does not have the facilities or the quality furniture and amenities to warrant such an excessive price.

Dear m13jp Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay with us. My apologies that you found the pricing to be higher than expected. All pricing at this property is dynamic, so flexes with occupancy and can also take into account event periods, and as such it is possible that your chosen weekend was affected by this high demand. We would love to have you stay with us again and so please keep an eye out for early bird offers or specials which will allow you to meet your budget expectations and enjoy the Creswick region once more. Warm regards Resort Services

We have just had a week here and it was perfect for what we wanted to do in the area.
Two bedroom, two bathroom villa, great kitchen with all you need, very comfortable living areas.
Bedrooms are upstairs as are the bathrooms, bedrooms have balcony's to sit out if you wish but no furniture, not a problem just took a chair from downstairs.
There is a outside sitting area out from the kitchen with furniture.
A real bonus is that each bathroom / bedroom has a big bath.
Takes just under 30 minutes to walk into the Main Street of Creswick, only about 4minutes to drive , very handy position.
Right next door to the RACV Goldfields resort, we had many a good walk around the course and beyond, there you will encounter lots of kangaroos and birdlife every day .
Another bonus is the bus stop out the front on the main road to Ballarat.
We caught the bus into Ballarat and back on two different days, a very pleasant ride of about 20 minutes, it goes once an hour, times are at the bus stop, just use your Myki card if you have one , they do not accept payment for a ticket on the bus .
Only one problem we had was the wifi kept cutting out about every 2 hours or whenever you turned your device off, it was very annoying. It was easy to login but who wants to keep logging in every time you go to use your device.
There is nobody on site so when you ring the number it goes to the Sebel in Melbourne, they basically said there was nothing they could do about it.
It is something they need to address as when we stayed there a couple of years ago we never had the problem, maybe it is a problem in Villa 5 where we were.
Apart from that we had a great week, it is a good place to base yourself when visiting the area.

Initially the 2 bed villa looked very luxurious until we tried to use amenities. We were there for 7 nights as our caravan is in for repairs and it is our home.
The washing machine, after several attempts, would not work. Tried to call Maintenance but phone not connected and cable box open to the elements. Most of the crockery has chips and the oven was just FILTHY. The couch, carpet and dining chairs were all stained. Upstairs was perfect. I know we are in difficult times and there were few guests and we could cope with the RACV resort being closed but we are stressed out enough as it is without paying good money for substandard accommodation

We stayed at the Sebel Creswick Forest resort in early September 2021 and it has to have been one of the most relaxing resorts we've ever stayed in. The villa was well presented, although the cleaning could have been better. Facilities in the villa such as bathtubs in each bedroom were very appealing and relaxing. Will definitely be heading back there very soon.

Stayed 3 nights at this townhouse. Location 15 min from Ballarat town. Very nice and modern 2br townhouse in a complex. Check in check out was very easy, they guide you a day before on how to collect the key. This is like a home, very nice, lots of seating area, large dining table, modern kitchen, good sized bedroom, modern bathroom and big backyard with outdoor seating. Will definitely stay here again if in the area

This is my second stay at this Accor Vacation Property Timeshare Resort. First time was a very short stay but this time we stayed a week over the easter break.

The two bedroom villas are very modern and comfortable. Its on the same property as the Novotel so you can utilise their facilities such as the Gym, Heated Swimming Pool, Restaurants, Bar and Golf Course.

You can use 30 minutes free wifi in the lobby/bar area of the Novotel each day and there are free computers one can also use. The bar has a happy hour between 4-6 pm and on the Easter Friday there was a musician playing some nice easy to listen too music.

Upstairs in the Villas each bedroom has a balcony and with its own ensuite and a lovely bath located in the actual bedroom. One can sit in the bath and watch tv. Unfortunately no outdoor furniture for the upstairs balconies.

There is also a third toilet downstairs.

The property has 3 TVs which are ideal for a family stay. There are two TVs upstairs in each of the bedrooms and one downstairs in the lounge area.

The laundry contains a washer and a dryer.

The kitchen is fully contained with basic kitchen utensils.

I loved the gas fireplace which was great on those cold mornings or evenings.

A lovely gesture from the cleaners were some Easter eggs left at our front door.

The accomodation is ideally located between Ballarat, Daylesford and Clunes each are very worthwhile destinations and only between 15-20 minutes away.

NEGATIVES
-traffic noise from rooms facing the main road
-lack of in room wifi
-lack of Foxtel or Pay TV
-no outdoor furniture on the upstairs balconies where one can sit

Because of the above I have ranked it only 4 stars out of 5 stars.

All the same a lovely property and one I would definitely happy to stay at again.

This property is part of the Novotel Hotel in Creswick.
We stayed here exchanging a week of timeshare. Found the room layout very strange and too small for the 4 of us (had to ask the hotel for an extra armchair !). living area, kitchen is on the ground floor and 2 bedrooms upstairs. The bedrooms were great with heaps of room, very nice bathroom and even a spa in the room itself.
Most time indoors was spent sitting around the dining table as this was the only area where 4 people could be seated . If you are a party of 6, it will be very tight squeeze !! Kitchen was well stocked and we cooked most meals using the fresh produce sourced locally while sightseeing during the day.
Location is excellent and we spent all day wandering the countryside - few trips to Daylesford , Ballarat , Clunes, Castlemaine etc.
Stay here if you need a central location to see the region but not if you want a resort to just 'chill' and laze around indoors.

I spent an awesome three nights at the Grand Mercure Forest Resort Apartments late last month. The apartments are nothing short of amazing! The huge 2 person spa baths in each of the bedrooms is amazing. There really is nothing better than sipping a glass of red, watching the tv and soaking in a huge spa!

The golf course which was under development was still a great experience. The layout made it a really enjoyable game.

The staff were extremely helpful and their country hospitality made us feel welcome from the first moment.

We'll be back!!

Hi Steph, Guests staying at the Sebel have access to all the facilities at the Novotel. The rooms are all fully self contained 2 bedroom apartments located a short distance away from the Novotel. Check in is also completed at the Novotel for the Sebel. As apartments they are serviced on departure not daily. It will depend on the number of people you want to accommodate as to which you prefer. regards Andrea
