This place deserves all the positive reviews it has enjoyed. We booked two rooms: a studio apartment and the French apartment. The studio was small but comfortable located at the back of the building. The outlook was OK but nothing special. The linen was some of the best I've slept on and the excellent shower deserves special mention. A perfect room for a good night's sleep. The French apartment provided a bedroom, a lounge and a balcony. The balcony looked over the main road offering views of Mount Mittamatita. There was plenty of room for four of us to fire up the BBQ and enjoy our locally purchased steak. The views from the room being better than what you will find either of the two local pubs. As highlighted in the other reviews the rooms are located on the first floor and there is chairlift up the stairs. As for breakfast, you won't find better coffee than from the Black Sheep cafe downstairs.…
We booked here for 2 nights as part of a road trip to northern Victoria. We ended up arriving just after the roads were reopened after the fires that went through the area. The town itself was unscathed but it was obvious how close the fires got to the outskirts. The town was being used as a staging post for the army and the police so there were all sorts of uniforms all over town and the army even put on an Australia Day event which we went along to. Anyway, back to Milton...we ended up having the boutique apartment which has a balcony overlooking the main street with views across to the mountains. I would recommend that you get a room with a balcony as they really add something special to the apartments. The apartments are beautifully fitted out as can be seen from the photos. I note that a number of reviews mention the stairs. They have now installed one of those chairs that you sit in to go up the stairs. The location is great with the best coffee shop in town downstairs and everything else a short walk. Our dealings with the hosts were very good, although I would have preferred more email communication (but I am one of those impatient city people). If you are coming to Corryong, this is the place to stay. If you are just thinking about coming to Corryong, come and stay here.…
We enjoyed our two bedroom luxury apartment overlooking the Main Street of Corryong. The apartment offers a good size kitchen, lounge and dining room. A large balcony is another added bonus with bbq and dining table. The main bedroom was extremely comfortable however the bed is not king size. There is another smaller bedroom with two singles. There is only one bathroom with walk-in shower and no bath. The decor is very trendy, modern, and clean. There were a few issues which could be easily fixed. There was no instructions booklet on how to operate air con , dishwasher etc etc. We also found communication was lacking as we had to constantly ring numbers to find Sharon so we could get the code for the doors.
We've love our stay here, the furnishings are as good as any 5 star hotel, and even though we didn't need it, I loved how the design of the room (room 5) was clearly wheelchair accessible, but without compromising on comfort and quality, really well done.
If you are visiting Victoria’s High Country and want a little luxury, I can highly recommend Milton Boutique Apartments. Easy, on line booking, prepaid apartments and just a call to the owners upon arrival, to receive a message with the entry codes. Centrally situated on the Main Street, with on street or back of the building parking. Modern and relaxing decor, beautifully comfy beds and pillows, soft fluffy towels and a shower that was hot and strong:):) We had Room 4 which I found cosy (as we were passing through, we had only one night) however, if you are staying longer and like a little more room there are other room options available, some with balconies overlooking the Main Street. As all rooms are upstairs (and I did not see a lift??), this complex would not be suitable for those challenged by stairs. Easy walk to eateries and a lovely warm room to come back to. Thank you for such lovely accommodation. …
