Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed for 2 nights over the long weekend. It is a nice hotel that has recently been refurbished. The rooms were clean, comfortable beds and great heating and cooling. The owners ate nice people as well which all made for a great stay, would recommend it to anyone.we will be back!!

Stayed here for three nights. Room was basic, but clean and neat with good lighting (something lacking in even expensive hotels). The reverse cycle air conditioner kept us warm and was quiet and did not interrupt our sleep in the comfy bed.
Although on a main road, there was no road noise, and the outlook over the caravan park (closed at the time of our visit) provided a pleasant outlook from the room.
There is no room service, and the only food on site would appear to be from the take away shop in the service station out front. This did not worry us, as we always take our own breakfast, and had other meals out. I believe that they are going to restart the restaurant at the service station.
We have recommended this to friends, and would stay here again, as $88.00 per night makes this a very affordable stay, but don't expect the Hilton.

For one night or a weekend, it's good. The motel is close to the city centre, but definitely not within walking distance. The room was somewhat clean, there was a European wasp in our room but I guess being in the country area, it is expected too. We hd a queen bed room and for the price, which is $88 per night, it is good. The staff were friendly. There is a petrol station next door which was really helpful, it does close early though.

This used to be a great place to stay. Neat and clean. Unfortunately this time, the room had spiders breeding in the corners, the floor was not vacuumed properly. The bedding did not look or feel fresh, and we were unsure if it had actually been changed.
We had specifically requested a room, but although the room was vacant, they gave us another. Unfortunately there was a baby next door that cried all night and kept us awake. We were told that it was under new management, so they may be in a learning mode. I hope it improves, because it has in the past been a great place to stay.

We have stayed in Cobden on several occasions over the past few years and it is great to see the Road House Motel reopen. It has been refurbished. Really clean, especially the bathroom and has great water pressure for the shower. It cost us $88 for the night and that is reasonable. Highly recommend for those budget conscious.

Very clean. Freshly painted. Plenty of bathroom supplies. Long life milk boxes not those little pods. A double and single bed in each room.
The cupboards are old but who uses them anyway.
Try to get the apartment furthest from the road to reduce road noise.
Will be booking in again next time in Cobden.

Cobden does not have too many accommodation choices, and it is a long time since I stayed somewhere for under about $120/night, ....so was a little nervous about what I would find. I was pleasantly surprised. ...Yes it was old and not the latest tend, but clean, quiet and good bedding, so in reality was just fine. It is under new management ( I suspect they had been there less than a week), so were still finding their way, but friendly and keen to help. I will stay there again if I ever need accommodation in Cobden

The room was basic yet functional. The reverse cycle air conditioner provided the heating. The AC was a little noisy but you got used to it.
Bed was a little lopsided for two people. Probably used to frequent single travelers so one side sagged more than the other, and as a result two people ended up on the sagging side.
Very clean and great value.

I stayed here for one night and it was good. We were in room 8, the room was basic and clean. We did have a few bugs in our room, though considering its in the country, I expected it. For $88 a night, it was good. The service was good and having the petrol station right there was really handy.
