Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

In stead of the usual straight through trip to Warrnambool, i decided to stay at camperdown and have a look at its lakes and volcanoes. I stayed at the Cascade motel on the Western edge of town. Clean and very comfortable with lovely bed, lounge suite, and good size tv.. The motel has landscaped lawns and a nice bbq area. A hot breakfast, and good value at that, completed the package. Most rooms are set back from the highway, so the only noise is the night train to warrnambool . Would certainly stay again No need to drive into town for a meal as a 24 hour bp servo next door has perfectly acceptable food

We had a great stay here with my three year old. Quiet and comfortable. It has everything you need including a microwave and toaster which was very helpful. We really enjoyed the garden and picnic tables.

The manager was very kind and posted my daughters favourite toy back that we had forgotten. Such quick communication was very appreciated and we would gladly stay there again.

I just spent 5 nights at this lovely, homely little motel whilst working in the area. My room (17) was spacious and very cosy. The bed was extremely comfortable. I had to battle a little with the shower to get the temperature right but not a big issue. The owners are very friendly and helpful. A 24 hour BP roadhouse is right next door and does some delicious meals. I would definitely stay here again if in area. Thanks for topping up the biscuits each day - really loved that little touch 😊

Just spent the night as part of a road trip. Clean cozy and quiet toward the edge of town even allowing for the close proximity of a truckie's roadhouse. Nice hot shower and comfortable bedding. Hosts are very welcoming and all needed facilities in the room.

Motel in easy walk of town centre, spotlessly clean, hot showers, couch in room a plus, well equipped with microwave, toaster, cutlery and crockery. Lovely garden area. Friendly approachable owners.
Great base for exploring around the region

Really surprised to find such an appealing room. Has been renovated, everything modern and working well. Yes it’s smallish but enough room to plonk your stuff. Would recommend. The bed was comfortable too.

Centrally located Motel, an easy walk to nearby eateries.

Our first time away since Regional Victorians were allowed to travel under cover restrictions.

We were very impressed, lovely rooms, warm comfy, recently renovated, with a garden view.

Good value for money.

Highly recommend.

The pics on the website are not a true and accurate account of the rooms, possible one may look this way but not the majority.
The rooms are spacious but incline in the room was a trap for anyone who had a mobility issue. The toiletries were very sparse and very difficult to open I couldn't and husband struggled. The bed was a cheap steel frame with an equally cheap mattress that by time morning arrived even my teeth hurt only one spare pillow glad I bought mine but the worst thing was the hotel was booked out with yahoo rally cars that had no care for others started their loud cars early and revved them up
For us and other guests staying at the hotel would have been nice if owners had said or policed the rally cars behaviour
We and others will not be return customers not recommending these facilities overall a horrid experience for the price paid anyone looking for accomodation keep on going

Stayed one night for work. I really must say the bed let it down. The bed was a steel frame bed with a cheep mattress. If your a bit tall the frame came up at the end of the bed so you are always touching it. Other than that it was an ok motel. Had a toster, reasonable tv and nice owner's. Good for a cheap stay.

Wasn't sure what to expect here but it was lovely in its own way. Large clean rooms with lots of facilities, especially in the kitchen. Marg welcomed us and was lovely and friendly. The rooms were comfortable, a little worn but cosy. Reasonable rates and value for money. A family run motel with good knowledge of the local area

Travellers Tips

Eat next door at the garage! Doesn't sound exciting I know but the food was plentiful, tasty and cheap.
