Worst hotel ever in australia. I wonder how this business got authority to run. Flithiest and worst customer service. Hotel owner/manger is not refunding my deposit for no reason and I am busy in dispute, consomer authority, pay pal etc.

We planned to stay here as it was close to a function.
Dirty cutlery, stunk of marijuana, the guy at the end of the rooms was making a bong, beds were like a sheet over a bed of springs!! Completely unacceptable, we were offered an extra room but it was the same as ours, no refund as the owner wasn't there... Zip ties on the bed frames(mmmm), couldn't even get prime or ten on the t.v....
We left and never will return, not a safe place for children...
A waste of time and money, I wouldn't even offer my room to a homeless person.
How Marrondah motel is still able to take money off people is terrible, when it clearly should be reported to consumer affairs!!

This has had to be one of the worst hotels I have stayed in during all my years of travelling for business and personal. On this case it happened to be personal. We knew from the moment we pulled into the hotel that it was a dump and nothing like the pictures on the net. We stayed in a Family Room on the top level. Upon climbing the illegal staircase which is falling apart we reached our room. The handle of the door was loose and very easy to break into if a person wanted. The beds in the room if you can call them that were highly uncomfortable, in-fact you would have been better sleeping on bricks!!!!. The pillows were a disgrace as my pillow wouldn't have been any better even if it was steamed pressed by a steam roller to try and flatten or soften it. I ended up rolling my jacket into a ball and using this as a pillow. The fly screens were missing off the windows which would have made it an accident waiting to happen if I had a child in there as there were railings on the inside which a child would have been able to climb onto and then topple out the window. The wardrobe was appalling as when I opened this, the door stayed in my hand. The light in the bathroom was held together with sticky tape and the shower head decided to fall off when turning the shower on!!!. The floor was very uneven as if something had been buried underneath the carpet and the cutlery was appalling, so much in fact we visited the local coles and bought our own coffee cups. The only good thing about it was the air con worked and so did the fridge. I was incredibly surprised that the wall that the air con was fitted too did not fall over and land on the rental car below. After a 20 minute fight with the TV, we also managed to get this working....... Never ever again would I stay or recommend this hotel. We only chose to stay as it was late at night and we knew that a refund was not going to happen.......

As soon as we walked into the room my son immediately had an asthma attack because of the mould.
We went straight to reception and said we could not stay in the room for health reasons. The manager said bad luck. We could leave but we he would not refund our money. He then feigned not being able to speak English and engaged me in intimidating and threatening behaviour.
The owners/managers of this disgusting cesspit should be put in prison.

Disgusting place. Mice eating through the wall at night. Telephone not connected, too bad if an emergency....like mice in the room. Electric jug did not work. Heating did not work. Sugar sachets provided had been nibbled at by mice. Management (a term used loosely) felt that as mice didn't belong to them it was not their problem!!!!
A big thank you to Wotif who got me a full refund on the same day.
BULLDOZE THE JOINT.

I honestly would not let an animal stay at this so called motel. I cannot believe that this motel is still in operation. It is a fourty year old motel with no upkeep at all. I strongly advise anyone thinking of booking a room here to read all reviews.

If so this place is for you! Do not miss the opportunity to touch one of the many exposed electrical wires or fall into the cesspits covered with a rotting piece of concrete sheeting. That is all it would take for you to initiate a lawsuit that may change your life forever. What does it matter that you may be permanently disabled if you never have to work again?
I can't paint this picture more clearly. You would have a better chance of coming out alive if you spent the night in the Belanglo State Forest with Ivan Milat.

This place should be condemned by the health department. The room smelt like a toilet and was so dirty I was scared to touch the surfaces. There were mystery mounds of I don't know what on the bathroom floor, cigarette burns on the bathroom sink and when I opened a cupboard in the bathroom to look for soap there were holes in the wall that went right through. No fly screens on any of the windows and the fan in the window had no cover on either side. Bedding was scarey.
Walking in the the filthy office should have set off warning bells but it was late. After much haggling to an indifferent reception person we received a refund and went down the road to the Mitcham Motel and had a wonderful stay.

The staff are pleasant enough but they don't enforce cleaning. The room stinks of mould and smoke. I got a rash from laying on top of the bed - and I don't have sensitive skin. The room stinks. The place is way overpriced, and might have been acceptable if it was $20 not $110. Handy to Box Hill if you need to be there for a specific reason, but Box Hill has nothing particularly interesting itself. If you do need to be in the area, there are other places in the area that are much better value although more expensive.

This is possibly the worst place I have ever stayed. Staff are friendly though. No complaint about them.
