Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Every thing is perfect. The lake. The walks. The views. The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful. Sitting by the lake around the fire is the perfect way to finish the day. Definitely coming back. Thanks for having us and making our stay so enjoyable.

arrived in Boort, to meet family at a half way point, it was Pouring with rain and Wendy and Tim could not have been nicer, they let us in earlier due to the terrible weather, we had a fantastic stay and our cabin was pet friendly as well, would not hesitate to recommend this park.

Stayed 3 nights in a dog-friendly cabin. Spotlessly clean, & everything provided. Tim, Wendy & Kirsten are lovely people, & nothing is too much trouble. The lake is a birdwatcher & artist's paradise - I am both, so was certainly in the right place! I was also tempted to take up fishing, after watching Kirsten enjoying it so much. Boort is a gorgeous little town with an interesting history. I can recommend it, & Boort Lakes Holiday Park, to anyone wanting a restful stay surrounded by nature.

Great location and the lake was good to swim in. We had a lakeside powered site. We had no trouble getting onto our site as this time of year it was quiet, but I would not like to come here in peak times, as there is very limited parking and lots and lots of cabins. The park is nearly all cabins with a few powered sites scattered around. Friendly staff and amenities were clean. Cost of $40 per night, powered site in February is overpriced.

We spent a couple of nights at the park this week, fantastic place to stay, first class facilities, well managed and maintained. Had powered sites right on lakes edge on well watered grass. A real oasis in the middle of the Mallee. Highly recommended!

Allowed to drive more than 25ks what a lovely place we chose. Never been before but would gladly come back. Caravan site right on the lake, very peaceful and relaxing. Great sunsets and a nice 3.7ks walk around lake which we did everyday. It was a midweek stay for 5 days, very quiet but weekends/school hols would be very busy with boats, canoes and water sports enthusiasts.

the cabin was very clean. The cabin is cramped and the lounge/sofa was so worn out you nearly sit on the floor when using it. $130 per night is too much for this cabin. Also the cabins themselves are all so closely grouped together, uncomfortably close.

We stayed at the Boort Lakes Holiday Park in November 2019 The caravan park is situated in an ideal setting along the banks of a large lake. Cabins and camping sites front the lake with rear units facing a channel. The lakes edge camping sites are well grassed and have basic power and tap connections. Our power connection , despite appearances (semi burnt appearance) worked ok , but was indicative of the park in general. The toilet shower block was clean, smalll and best described as basic. Most of the prime lakeside spots apear to be taken by permanents and some cabins. The reception staff were very helpfull, but limited (when we were there) by an apparent lack of resources eg no park map etc. Our stay was marred by very strong winds (50 klm gusts) due to the lake exposure, but I would imagine the park would be ideal for family watersport activities when the weather improved. Would I stay here again , yes, but with lower expectations.

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate that you have taken the time to provide this information. The wind during November was very unfortunate and it did make it uncomfortable for guests. Our apologies that you did not receive a park map, we do have one so unsure why you did not receive this, however we do tend to rather personally show you to sites and point out where everything is. Again thank you we are always looking at ways to improve.
